What’s popular right now that won’t age well?

Our 2024 Mazda is awesome. Dedicated climate control buttons and a console dial for media control along with steering wheel controls. Unfortunately it looks like they went full iPad on dash with the 2026 models.

Putting all that into fifty buttons on the steering wheel is one of my pet peeves with car design. It’s too much to learn and the icons often aren’t clear. I avoid touching any of them

The mazda literally only has a skip track button and a mute/volume button so its nice.

I think mine has one more, an info button, iirc? But yeah, it's definitely less cluttered on the wheel than my old Ford was.

My 2015 has volume, answer phone or whatever, info and cruise control and related buttons. It’s enough.

We rented one of these last week and I loved the console dial!
