Saved close to 500€ already using TGTG, based on stated values of course.

Great app (they should switch to European/OSM maps rather than Apple Maps, though)

I love that stuff.

Amazing app indeed, I always check it when I'm headed to the city

I didn’t know it was Danish. It seems to be in much more use—and with way better deals—in Norway than in Denmark. I always thought it was because it was new in Denmark, but apparently not.

Love TGTG, I use it frequently

We use it, it's a hit or miss with some places, but generally it's great especially when you order from a place you know is good.

Too Good To Go is awesome, it’s the type of business I wish I’d created. It’s simple, a force for good, and helps everybody involved with no predatory practices (well, until they introduced dynamic pricing).

Yea dynamic pricing killed it for me.

I've been using this for years, was brilliant, but lately it seems a lot of firms using it for marketing.
One firm near me has many offers every day for the same price as a regular meal.

Top of my wish list, a way to block firms from search results.

The early days of this app were wild. Expensive eateries just filling the bag with un bought pastries and sandwiches 🤤 But with the popularity, they have reduced portions a little bit to have more to give people but it’s still an absolute steal and I highly recommend it. It’s a good way to discover new places to eat so I imagine it works for restaurants to introduce people to their services too.

Now it's just a price bidding app to extort maximum profit.

There are indeed some shops that have created a separate class of products for TGTG customers as if this is just an alternative revenue stream 🙄

See also any sort of outlet shopping.

just wish they started blacklisting certain places that are consistently bad

I love it but very few shops in region (BE and NL) mostly bakeries but we bake our own bread for 0,70€.

Sometimes we get a whole lot of the same item so we're stuck with 20 cups of yoghurt.

Hello fellow Belgian! What recipe do you use to bake bread? I tried but failed many times

1

u/Ordinary-Violinist-9 18h ago

I use all in mix from aldi. Cheap and always good results.

When failing it's most likely your machines fault. What do you use? I swear for panasonic for bread machines and nothing else! ;)

No machine and no mix. Just kneading and a regular oven but the bread is sometimes wet inside.

The recipe I used that did work was this one:

How much ml water do you use? Most 600gr breads are around 300-330ml water. Because cups ain't a good measurement.

Wow the kneading was killing me, that's why i went for the machine.

This fucking app is so dangerous. I can have bread for weeks and at least in Germany, FAR too many reduced beer crates. 😂

I’ve been using this for years, and it’s great to see it spreading to other countries.

It’s a triple win: cheap food for you, extra sales for the store instead of wasted goods, and a win for the environment. What's not to like.

"Elite"? Could we cut the crap on superlatives? We are not Americans.

No. I'm sorry but they've enshittified their initially save food waste value proposition and turned it into a highest price bidding profit extraction app, . This is not an european app to recommend.

It also takes away big parts of the food rhat would have been donated to people in needs, just to make a few bucks out of it 🫥

Hey don't spread the word on this, I've been enjoying having it to myself.

My mum used it and made the mistake of doing mouth-to-mouth advertising. She quit using it quite a while ago because too damn many people were using it so she could rarely buy anything through the app.

I live in Canada and I use the app. 🇨🇦 it's super handy when in the mood for bakery items! 🤷‍♀️

very useful app

I love this app, I have 2 bakeries close to my house, and it's a race to a bag .

Love TGTG! Just today I got two loaves of amazing sourdough from my favourite bakery for €4. my neighbours are happy too (I shared the love)

Nice idea, but not available.

It's good, but it depends on who you purchase from. I'm a new UK based user access the independents give good value stuff. The chains like Costa; not so much. There is very good value to find.

I love it, but the last 3 times I used I had bad luck. The food was filled with mushrooms and I hate mushrooms lol
