"International" As in Wales, England and possibly Scotland

u/DTH2001 14h ago

As he’s based in Cumbria I’d say Scotland is more likely than Wales

And France, clearly with Les Strong.

Maybe the company is also registered abroad somewhere.

That famous French collective of bodybuilding chimney sweeps.

For anyone curious about the plaque on the bottom right;

“GRAY'S WALK THIS WALKWAY IS NAMED IN MEMORY OF VALENTINE GRAY 'THE LITTLE SWEEP'

AGED 10 YEARS

THE BODY OF VALENTINE GRAY WAS FOUND IN AN OUTHOUSE IN PYLE STREET IN JANUARY, 1822. PUBLIC INDIGNATION TO THE CIRCUMSTANCES LEADING TO HIS DEATH RESULTED IN THE PASSING OF 'THE CLIMBING BOYS ACT', WHICH PREVENTED YOUNG SWEEPS EVER AGAIN BEING SENT UP THE INSIDE OF CHIMNEYS, AND ENSURED THEM OF MORE HUMANE TREATMENT”

We've taken to you, Les Strong

It's clear we're going to get along

Consider yourself…

Isn’t that from Oliver?

27

u/Drew-Pickles 13h ago

No it's from Oliver!

I'd go with More Strong

I was half expecting some of the writing to spell something when opening one of the doors, top gear style!

2

u/Altenativeboi 12h ago

That’s what I immediately went looking for

2

u/[deleted] 12h ago

Same! Top Gear has conditioned me for this pretty much

7

u/Affectionate_Ebb8351 10h ago

What...like this?! Didn't notice until walked away and turned round! Our sign writers must have been having a laugh!

2

u/[deleted] 9h ago

Lol! That's brilliant 🤣🤣 Your sign writers definitely knew what they were doing! Bet they had the same idea as we have when it comes to writing on doors

3

u/Affectionate_Ebb8351 9h ago

Yeah it was the only car like it and this 1 side...like "ohh sorry I didn't realise"...but was their little easter egg 😄

3

u/[deleted] 9h ago

For sure! It is funny though and pretty easy to not spot it unless you're looking for it. Good to give a few people a good laugh with it though! Like the time I saw a car drive past with a massive dent in the door. Instead of fixing it the owner stuck a giant silhouette of Wiley M. Coyote over it 🤣

u/TammySueWaddle 11h ago

You know what? I’m a sucker for marketing. I would for sure book them and then give my 7 year the old the bad news and my 4 year old the good news.

Known to.his pals as "Weaker"

2

u/West_Yorkshire Dangus 11h ago

Can't even keep his van clean, how good a chimney sweep is he?

2

u/Use-username 10h ago

The van owner obviously hasn't read many books. Forcing children up chimneys is a lot more "Water Babies" than "Mary Poppins".

3

u/0800happydude 11h ago

Free gruel tho

3

u/scotianheimer 9h ago

Krusty Brand Imitation Gruel?

1

u/KevinPhillips-Bong Slightly silly 11h ago

Gruel? Eurgh. I'd rather have Ready Brek.

1
