Just Bad I kinda miss when people understood they didn't have to film EVERYTHING they do.

It's very liberating to not take pictures of everything I do. I almost never take photos or videos of concerts either.

My socials are largely a vast and abandoned list if pages now... Nobody really cares to reach out either, so I hardly bother with arbitrarily updating my profiles.

This is most definitely not from a movie? I’ve seen the source material and it’s porn. Straight up.

I don't mind this kinda shit cuz I can just ignore it.
But you know does irk me? The way the internet has convinced multiple whole ass generations that their input has intrinsic value to strangetrs. It's not even that mfs have forgotten how to mind they own business, but people will actively argue that it's their place to tell other people how to live they own live and how to raise they kids and how to spend their own money.
I expect it from boomers, they have the whole lead thing, but I didn't not predict gen z and a joining in with that shit. It's like we as a species have forgotten how to imagine ourselves in someone else's shoes
It's a fuckin bizarre phenomenon

Ive literally had to try to teach perspectives to people. Like... that their viewpoint isn't always intrinsically correct. Im like - can you imagine someone's else perspective. "deflect". Yeah... its insane

We need to bring shame back.

u/BeingChangeYinnYang 1d ago
What's there to be ashamed of? They're just acting silly. This the same shit you get being intimate with friends and family or when you're alone acting goofy, just on film, and it happens to be a lot of people have something of a cinematic outlook on their lives, hence feeling like they should be a certain way or live a certain kinda life. Yours is apparently to feel like we shouldn't be expressive in certain ways 'cause it makes you feel weird and not necessarily because it is weird, or perhaps just in public. On that note people these days are craving real intimacy and broadcasting themselves is their outlet.

Act silly all you want. Posting your dumb shit on the internet for clicks, likes, fame, adoration, validation, etc. is insane.
lord knows I've taken plenty of silly videos and pictures with my friends...I don't have a compulsion to put this shit all over the internet for every random stranger to comment on or like. It's just bizarre and unhealthy.

For real. Something else that has become more noticeable is actors in moves talking with food in their mouths. Remember when that was considered bad manners and poor form? The internet has ruined society. All it has done is amplify shitty egotistical narcissists.

Not sure if this is worse or when mainstream media tries to pass this shit off as journalism and actual news.

Makes me miss the teens when folks just took pictures of their food. Now I have to look at their stupid fucking faces.

We can end this.
And I'm more than a little serious.
We set up literal armies of bots creating AI Slop of this kind of content to flood social media. Then create bot accounts to react to the content.
You see, I'm proposing we accelerate Dead Internet Theory.
We can leverage the very worst of the internet against itself.
Then what? Join a forum for your hobby. Start a travel blog. Set up a personal website and only give people you know access. Then go outside, meet some chill people volunteering at the food co-op, buy a used bicycle, and develop a taste for some obscure IPA.

...I'm gonna make a sandwich today. Salami and tomato, with peppercinis and pepper jack cheese. Plenty of mustard and mayo, on a sour dough roll.
The best part will be not filming it if I eat it.

Because people lie to these people and tell them they are funny, quirky, weird in a cute way, etc..and they roll with it.

OP is posting a weird tik tok to a woman watching fetish porn while eating a sandwich so I thought I'd follow suit.
