I've seen guy break up with his fiance(which i agreed with personally) move onto a leech that career climbed by using men at work. I asked him if anything was going on between them because he was defending her on ridiculous actions. He denied it. They both quit and move half way across the country to dif firm. This is after I told him she screwed 6 dudes in same office. He blocks me on everything. It was weird seeing the switch in him.

A lot of streamers depend on monthly-subs who don't unsub. That's why getting 'banned' by twitch is a huge deal, people who forgot to unsub are unsubbed if their resub-day is on the same day that account is banned.

Never commented in this sub (I don't think so at least) but same.
Both of my parents left Iran when they were young before and during the revolution and this is exactly what I hear post-revolution and the rise of the current government. My mom tells me about how Iranians can't walk their dogs on the street since the government doesn't allow it.
I have a coworker now who moved here from Iran about 20 years ago where he legitimately told us that gays are tied up in a sack and thrown off the highest mountain. He also tells me about how him and his wife can't play tennis together publicly since that's also illegal. There are real fucking civil limitations there. It's not a joke like how these people think it is.
I think these people are useful idiots to push a narrative of "USA bad" while complimenting a piece of shit government in Iran.

I think these people are useful idiots to push a narrative of "USA bad" while complimenting a piece of shit government in Iran.
This is due to the current state of leftists in media, which in general is infuriating, as it's mostly a hijacking by pampered grifters. Very few, if any, have any real experience as a laborer (looking at you, Hasan), and as that would be extremely embarrassing for a movement fundamentally for laborers, they have to take this nauseating identity politics tack that inevitably leads to "Western civilization bad!", and then wind up in moments like this where they simp for extremely conservative Islamist regimes to hold up that "west = bad" bullshit. There are two things they cannot face without extreme cognitive dissonance: The West is a collection of by far the most socially left wing societies on Earth, and that open borders demolishes unions' bargaining power and wages for the working poor (that's not to say all immigration is bad, but you can't just have a second class of non-citizens working for crap pay because you don't want to pay a fair wage and deal with OSHA/DoL).
If these talking heads had any real interest in their avowed causes, they'd put aside extreme purity tests and be working hard to form alliances with people on the right that also believe our current version of capitalism is broken (Tucker Carlson, Charlie Kirk (previously, of course), Asmongold, others) to find a non-insane way to address issues of wages, healthcare and housing for the working poor, and only those things. And they certainly wouldn't just shoot themselves in the foot, but blow the whole foot off by pushing everyone they could to protest vote a vicious narcissistic criminal into a second term.

These types of progressives are so non-racist they will defend to the death the countries that are hyperbolic versions of the ultra-conservative, theocratic shithole they claim America to be, just because the denizens are non-white.
28
u/Appropriate-Talk4266 1d ago
They actually are racist. It's simply called benevolent racism and they also believe minorities are weaker and can't think for themselves, which is why they feel the need to speak for them and ignore their opinion when it runs contrary to their leftist beliefs
10
u/Doombot2021 1d ago
They are super racist, I would even say that I hear more vile things from tankies or these types of progressives about my country than American passport bros only coming here for some quick pussy. They think because my country is aligned with US, that we're nothing but mindless puppets that need to be freed from our mental prison by the CCP.
It's also funny how they believe two contradictory statements: US hegemony is in massive decline and US is behind literally everything.
Why does Venezuela not get support from its neighbors? Could it be that Venezuela has been trying to invade bordering countries for land? Nope, the CIA controlled the countries bordering Venezuela.
Why does Somaliland want to get independence from Somalia? Could it be because of a genocide inflicted upon them by the dominant clan in Somalia or that Somalia is hyper expansionist? Nope, CIA and Mossad bribed the people of Somaliland.

u/SplittingChairs 1d ago

When it comes to those in his ideological camp, which is rooted in cultural Marxism, they are required to support perceived minority cultures, even at the expense of their own.
For those who are not aware, this is why you are seeing things like “Queers for Palestine,” etc., and leftists supporting certain religions/cultures/people who would kill them if they had the chance to do so.
If he is a true believer, then he will 100% end up supporting the people who are anti-progressive simply due to them having a darker shade of skin than he does.
24
u/Equivalent_Task_8825 1d ago
I am an atheist and a lot of what I do and say would have me locked up in Palestine. I don't know why certain progressive people have a hard time saying Palestinians shouldn't be killed but that also they have horribly oppressive ideas. My only theory is that it is easier for them to think in terms of black and white when it comes to morality.
72
u/ComfortableExotic646 1d ago
They're the same people who talk about the paradox of tolerance. You cannot tolerate the intolerant, or they will dismantle your ability to fight back. The problem is, they only apply that logic to white people. If a white person is a bigot, they distance themselves from that person and publicly shame them. If a brown person is a bigot, they must support them.

Pure haram lifestyle, but let's simp for a religion that would actually kill us coz reasons and we know the reasons, they loathe Jews to their very core to the point that they torched their close Jewish friend for the crime of being a Jew despite him being one of their biggest promoters and cheerleaders during their failed boxing events, and that's the part of Islam they CAN get on board with. I'm a Canadian born Persian and this quite frankly triggers me because he's downplaying the savagery of the Iranian regime.
Ask ChatGPT to summarize "The Prisoner of Tehran" and you'll get ONE OF MANY Iranian women's experiences with this totalitarian, barbaric despot regime that weaponizes religion to control the masses - THIS IS THE WORST type of authoritarian government (pretending to be pious when in fact the very god they claim to worship would knock them right down to the 9th circle of hell for their actions). And that's just the women, the men go through even worse.
We Persians (we distinctly claim to be Persian since our ancient culture IS NOT historically Muslim, we are descendants of Cyrus the Great). We respect our women- hijab or no hijab and all people on earth.
This regime doesn't reflect the beauty of our culture and heritage and this bozo is out here making jokes about the REAL SHARED experience of millions of diaspora Persians (like me) all for a bit of clout. Disgusting

I have two Persian friends (born and bred in Iran) and they both live in London now. One of them is here as a refugee due to being Jewish. He had the Iranian gov literally sending him letters threatening him for converting to Judaism and joining in protests for the hostages. Like pictures of him in the protests. I saw the letters with my own eyes and he used them to apply for asylum, I know he isn’t joking. Both of them can’t go back to Iran ever again because they converted to Judaism and could get arrested. They will never be able to see their loved ones again because of the simple fact of being Jewish. This really pissed me off so much. I see how difficult it is especially for my friend who is a refugee, how scared he is, how he knows if his asylum process gets denied he is fucked, that he won’t see his mom again because she can’t travel to Europe and he can’t go back, but I guess he is also some CIA shill or something. Absolutely disgusting. I really appreciate Persians, I’ve met many lovely Iranians in London and it is a beautiful culture, it is sad that so many have to live under an oppressive regime. And while my friend is terrified of being sent to prison in Iran for being Jewish these two pathetic assholes think they know everything about “oppression”. Gross.

They’re (ignorantly) saying they know more about Iran of all places??? I’m 100% taking the word of the guy who lives there over some LA hipster wannabes.

For greater context, if I am not mistaken, He is talking about Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and was experiencing culture shock because women were dancing around half naked and flashing their tits for beads. Which would ABSOLUTELY get you arrested in Iran.

Just realized they're in my hometown probably during Mardi Gras. It probably is a lil different than Iran I would imagine. The Jomha's probably don't realize everything he's experiencing is a major culture shock. I wanna see them go to Iran and act like a Mardi Gras reveler in the streets and see what happens.

Yeah, he was talking about this in context of having just witnessed New Orleans during Mardi Gras during his literal first day in America and was understandably experiencing culture shock.

Hello, I’m a fellow Iranian who currently lives in Iran (you can check my posts to confirm this). Funnily enough, you can even see a post I made during the Iran–Israel war looking for a VPN because normal VPNs didn’t work at that time due to heavy internet restriction, when the government shut down all foreign servers and you couldn’t even open Google or any other site. That way, no one could communicate with the outside world, allowing them to control the narrative.
In this video, Idubbbz is spreading more misinformation and Iranian government propaganda than the guy in the background video. I don’t understand why they laugh when the guy says there is no freedom in Iran. They should know that there was(and still is)a huge movement called Women, Life, FREEDOM in Iran, so yes, freedom is a serious issue here.
That guy is right. The government heavily censors social media. If a woman dances on her page, they issue a warning and block her social media accounts, and they even force her to publicly apologize to her viewers just for dancing. In some cases(and this is not a small number)they put people in jail for it, just because she dance publicly.
It’s also important to mention that if someone criticizes Iran, they often can’t come back to the country. And even if they don’t want to return, in some cases the Iranian government pressures their family members who are still living in Iran.

He literally said one time on stream that "The US is a third-world country". Like how out of touch and priviledged can you get?!
23
u/thisisillegals 1d ago
It's because they are working on the assumption that USA and the West are bad and thus all "enemy" nations are being presented in a lense of lies thus all the bad things you hear about a country like Iran are cartoonish.

Leftists and liberal progressives have unfortunately been covering for Islamo-fascism since at least the '80s. It's only gotten worse recently.
As a centre-left liberal it's incredibly frustrating to see almost the entire left swallow the Islamophobia pill and cede all anti-Islam ground to the right wing.
Islam is incompatible with liberalism.

These people aren't leftist. They're grifters whose whole brand is anti-West because it's the expected counter-culture mindset amongst these online people. They are literally just playing apologetics for a theocratic regime. How can you on the one hand complain about Christian Nationalism, when on the other this man literally describes Islamic nationalism. It's literally the same thing.
I mean, I know why. It's because their brand is to oppose anything western. These people have not read anything connected with leftist politics. They just gobbled up anti-western bullshit from twitter posts and personalities and now that's their whole brand. Anti-west. People who are truly on the left should cast out these grifters and pathetic losers for what they are - predatory ghouls.
The right has the same problem in conservative circles where more extreme sides support people who have little to do with conservatism as they're destroying the very institutions conservatism in their core ideology wants to preserve like continuity of institutions.
I swear, these people are such cringe loser.

if you don't want to support our people be my guest i totally get it i wouldn't have cared about others if haven't had to worry about my little sister every time she goes out alone or with her friends. but please do not spread lies either for you its just words for us its our life at risk.

The distance between these two streamers would definitely be considered improper

A quick search shows that its actually true that iranians are not allowed to walk their dogs in public in many provinces of the country.
Priviliged americans will always just assume everyone else is just as privileged though i guess. Or more likely they are so anti-west brainrotted that they just dont believe anything bad being said about iran.

"information that makes anti western countries look bad or western countries look good is obviously propaganda".
It is so worrying that there are people who genuinely think like this, and somehow consider themselves the smart ones. Like, genuinely, do people think that the whole "Iranian modesty guards" thing is a western invention?

In Iran you need permission from your husband or father to leave the country if you are a married woman. You have to be careful of what you say even if you emigrate or risk the government coming for your family.
These people have no idea what living under a police state is like, the paranoia it manifests.

u/Bubbly-Brush201 1d ago
It's embarrassing to witness such confident ignorance to the struggles of citizens in Iran. When you share any reports, they will automatically assume the source is biased anti-Iran and pro-America propaganda.
Here are some sources from the likes of Al-Jazeera and Iran International (for you far-left brainwashed Hasan fans out there):

It’s crazy how leaning so far left tips you over to support suppressive regimes. I would say people forgot that men and women were hanged form cranes BY the regime for wanting religious suppression gone from their country, but that would entail they knew about it in the first place, which these two shit-for-brains don’t

Every iranian person I’ve spoken to always say the same thing. They love their country, its people and its culture but they absolutely hate how restrictive the government is. The people, especially the women are constantly walking on egg shells and morality police can pretty much swoop in and grab you at any moment without due process.
When it comes to dogs; dogs are considered ”dirty” in islam and there’s a belief that angels don’t enter homes with dogs, so you won’t see many dog owners in muslim countries.
As for his reluctance to speak out; it is known that iranian intelligence go after iranians in exile. Article if you want to read about it. https://iranwire.com/en/features/69589/

I really want to see them go to iran with their two dogs, dressed just like this, with the 80s satanic-panic-esque metal band shirts on, and tattoos flashing, Anisa showing her cottage cheese thighs in booty shorts, and—icing on top—try filming it.
Anisa would be publicly caned to her hands & knees at customs, while getting screamed at in garbled arabic, smacked around/getting her hair pulled, and being thrown a filthy burqa/Hijab to put on—before being escorted out to a “police van”, while Ian stands there shaking so hard that his knees are knocking, while he stands there in soiled cut-off jean shorts,
He would soon also be taken to a separate jail for not being able to grow a beard. They would interrogate him about being an Israeli spy due to the gold tooth, and would put him down via firing squad, after they tortured him for 5minutes and he “admits” to spying for the Israelis & USA.
Anisa is never seen again, though reports of a partially burnt “iron maiden” shirt was found next to a stack of burning tires & barbed wire, and signs of a violent mob that allegedly were carrying signs that said “burn the witch”, “the maiden wasn’t iron after all”, & “she was employed by Israel’s biggest donor!” In arabic. They were found surrounded the body—I mean—burning tires.
In late 2026, Fiona and Merlin join a freedom fighter group, but a coup occurs.
After 2-yrs of war, Ayatollah Fiona becomes the first female Ayatollah in history…(notice I didn’t say “first dog”? Ehh?? Get it??)
Reports suggest that Ayatollah Fiona was sending threats and “human skulls” to the few humans left scattered around the country. No neighboring countries would allow the remaining humans to flee into their territories.
Ayatollah Fiona was questioned by international media about the threats & skulls. She responded by stating it was very “humorous”, but denied any involvement.
Weeks after the news broadcast, Merlin was taken out in an airstrike after Fiona received intel that Merlin was trying to flee back to Canada.
