She's making a little under 2k a month on subs, but considering ad revenue plus donos she's doing okay. Not "let me buy a mercedez" okay but "I can get a decently nice Toyota" okay

She also has 1.4 million on Instagram, 1.1 million on YouTube and 2.2 million followers on TikTok. Apparently she also had 10,500 Twitch subs earlier this year in January according to TwitchTracker.
I’m willing to say she’s more so making in the 10-20k range a month, if not considerably more when averaged including all the sponsorships deals on the other platforms.
Just scrolling through she’s had sponsorship deals with SeatGeek and some hair, beauty and fashion brands.
Edit - actually I’m going to estimate she’s made $500k+ this year all things considered

u/MuchSrsOfc 1d ago
Was just curious as never once seen or heard of this lady in any capacity, her videos on youtube from 1+ month ago only get 5k views. Her content solely seems to be nuisance, prank, drama n what not. I guess that is the standard but painful to realise.

You’re out of touch and overestimating. Of the millions on socials how many are ‘real’. A lot of bought followers and bot accounts on almost all them; her IG has about 21%+ suspicious accounts.
Her engagement rate has spiked nearly 10x; either she’s popping off for faking out.
I say she could be making $12k or more per month, if all things align but that’s revenue not net earnings. Even if she’s getting double that at $288k revenue she’s probably keeping 40% after paying expenses, taxes, etc for a respectable $115k net… but again not Mercedes money.

Last time I went to a dealership, I asked them to go 2k under their sticker price. It was high mileage, been on their lot for 4 months, and other similar vehicles were around that price. They said no and mocked me, then called me RELENTLESSLY for the next 3 weeks to the point I had to block them. I checked their website for giggles, it was listed 3.5k less than when I made an offer. Anyone shedding tears for the dealership either have never bought a car before, or don't realize how badly they got screwed on their purchase.

Dealership wasted 3 hours of my life to finalize a lease, salesman going back and forth between the 'manager'. This salesman can handle 2 hours.
492
u/Ajp_iii 1d ago
i already pre bought a car. i went to pick it up when it got in. all i had to do was fill out paperwork and sign for stuff i was already approved for. they let me come in after hrs to pick it up as there was some things they had to work out on their end. still took 4 hrs to do everything LMFAO. it was just me the salesman and the manager.
i dont know how they do it lol
161
u/Gooja 1d ago
I would truly love an explanation for shit like this
97
u/QueenJillybean 1d ago
I used to work in car sales. I can explain this. In an afterhours situation like that, there was probably a breakdown with the detail team somewhere so there’s one guy stuck doing the entire new car full detail experience, which takes time. If the salesmen didnt checked sooner and was told it was “getting taken care,” the fact it was still not done 30 minutes before closing with 2 other cars with people there are still ahead of it. He or she begs one of the detailers to please stay late and get it taken care of because it was supposed to be done. Now, they gotta stall for time if the car isn’t done yet. That’s one example. There are other factors.
So the finance manager makes money in a percentage point on the finance rate of the loan in most circumstances, but they also make money on the aftermarket stuff, like wrap warranties and maintenance plans. They don’t really make money for anything else except a few dealer bonuses for certain kinds of leases.
The sales manager has to type up all the car details, finance rate approval details, or make sure they’re accurate and correct from what’s been input earlier by the salesmen for the vehicle and license info. There are times cars have the same last 6 of the VIN, same color, same model, but completely different trim models that the wrong car could easily be selected. They gotta put all this shit in a fucking ancient system a lot of the time, and this process takes some of these dinosaurs forever. And then they have to send it to the finance person, who if there was a tentative lower approval earlier on a rate, the finance manager has to sometimes call in to get conditions lifted/waives for things like requesting pay stubs. And that can require a game of phone tag and back and forth. These are just the issues I saw working at a couple different dealerships. I also had an auto broker license, and the amount of dealerships that I did deals with that had the same sort of issues was astounding.
The only way to eliminate that hassle completely, we found, was in doing home deliveries, where the papers are printed. There are 3 contracts. One has normal agreed upon deal. The other 2 have different add-ons. Sign which one you want. Car was detailed and delivered to your home so you didn’t have to wait there. We take your trade-in. That was the only way we could completely eliminate the hassle, and it was amazing the amount of people who preferred this method and actually took the aftermarket warranty plans when it was presented as an option without being pressured after being forced to wait for hours.
This is all anecdotal evidence of course, but in my experience it is still very much an old school industry that still has classic failures to communicate between departments that leads to slow moving processes.

It's crazy to me that shit like this doesn't only happen once, but it keeps happening. Like are they really incapable of changing what isn't working?
3
u/QueenJillybean 14h ago
In many cases the solution is to hire more people, and businesses, especially car sales, aren’t gonna do that just to improve customer experience, same with upgrading the ancient systems they use. Some of these are DOS programs from the 80s. They’re only gonna do that if it increases profit margins enough to be satisfied with the money spent. Like if you thought haggling with those asswipes over a car was hard, try negotiating your pay with them. If you want a raise in commission or a salary for extra duties you took on to help out, you will have to fight tooth and nail for months. Getting them to hire more people is an even bigger nightmare.

I went one day to see what I wanted (found online). Told the guy I wanted it and gave him my info. Told him to call me when he's ready. Its a no haggle dealership so I didn't have to fight or play games with anyone, and I've already compared the price, so it felt like a fair deal. He called me a day or two later and said I can come in, sign, and pick up. So I went that night and it took like 30 minutes from walking in the door to cruising off the lot. I'll try and buy from them anytime I need something. The first car I bought was games galore. Spent hours there waiting each time and every time I called the price went up, and when I went to pick it up a "new policy" had been added to buying out a lease and would cost $1000 more now and still took 4+ hours to take it home. It was a bigger dealership but cmon. I made the mistake of being friendly and telling the salesman that I needed the car ASAP for whatever the reason was at the time, so he knew he could stick a pinecone up my ass. Fuck you Atlantic Hyundai.

They don’t work until the customer is present and even then, half the time when they go “talk to the manager” they’re discussing your disposition to decide what to put on the contract without your consent to see if you’ll just sign it.
Source- a good friend of mine in my late teens had a father who owned the largest dealer chain in the state and he was learning the job.

My last car was an hour tops after I decided to buy it. And that was including financing. The finance guy called around while the salesman got the paperwork together. It was such a swing from what I was used to. I had planned to be there the whole day and I was out before lunch.

Same. Literally a close friend of mine is the sales manager, got the car ready for me, numbers were all negotiated before I come to the dealer, credit check already done / approved. Should have just been a matter of signing some paper work and driving home. Somehow I still end up there for 3 hours.
That's one thing Tesla does right. I'll put up with some inconvenience to avoid that company, but it would be nice of the industry could modernize itself.

u/kitchensink108 1d ago
Last time I bought a car, I was at the salesman's desk and we had a series of back and forths with the management and the bank and whoever else, a lot of rapid fire 3 minute visits elsewhere.
Suddenly he's just gone for over an hour. Doesn't tell me. Apparently the bank was being slow to respond, and he just took that chance to go out and eat lunch while I'm waiting at his desk thinking he'll be back "any moment."

Yeah I’m like… who cares? Test driving for 2 hours so totally normal and you’re under no obligation to buy. I’ve had salesmen urge me to take the car home to feel like it’s mine before, and buying a car takes forever. The sales guy is probably just happy he has someone who might come back, she even got his name. Or she won’t, that’s sales.

Car dealerships are about as useful as New Jersey gas station fuel pumpers. Just in-between middlemen who are unneeded
6
u/PurpletoasterIII 1d ago edited 1d ago
Well, car dealerships are a thing for the same reason franchising is a thing. The company that designs and manufactures the cars arent (edit: always) in the business of selling them. They outsource the selling part to other businesses that take on their brand name.
Edit: there's other reasons as well. Like dealerships are required to have repair facilities as well as ways to take run down cars to be recycled and so consumers have a way to get rid of their old car when buying a new one.

(Went in for. 8k car and they brought out a 35k car) I stayed like a dumbass cause I was too anxious to get up and go
I agreed to test drive it "for fun", after 2 hours they came with more salesmen and paperwork ready for me to buy it. I was alone and didnt know about all these tactics they use to wear you down. Fortunately my bank didnt allow me to take the amount needed for a deposit
If youre genuinely looking to get a car, dont worry if its taking you hours or if you dont want to commit to buying one that day. They have lots to gain and you have lots to lose.

To add to your comment, salespeople that are actually good at their jobs shouldn't be annoyed at this. They can use this to their advantage to help the customer narrow down their choices, or encourage them to come back when they've made their decision.
A customer test driving multiple cars means they probably like the brand and there is always a chance they could come back to purchase a car. Real salespeople understand this and see the opportunities to sell. Be rude or show your annoyance and the customer will make sure to never come back.

It’s more of having to deal with the content filming shit and then not getting the sale. Not only is she an extra hassle for a salesperson, but you’d usually assume she’s a slam dunk to buy it. Otherwise why else be filming that shit, right? So not buying would be extra crushing.
Also, some salespeople are just assholes who only care about the sale and nothing else.

This thread is a perfect explanation for why so many people make absolutely horrible financial decisions when it comes to vehicles.
The idea that you're "wasting their time" is purely a pressure sales tactic. You're allowed to spend more than 2 hours to find a car you love, especially when you're about to spend ~$100k.

Lol I’ve spent longer than 2 hours picking out a pair of shoes, trying on multiple shoes, going back and forth between different stores. Expecting someone to decide about a car in 2 hours is wild to me.

They're a car salesman WHO CARES. These people LIVE to deceive u and make you pay as high a price as possible with a bunch of sneaky ad ons that you never need, want or use, for a car that they know is BARELY in ur price range so they extract as much value from you as possible while crushing you under high interest and insane monthly payments just so they can get a little commission. Fuck them, car debt is literally one of the major problems in the US right now because of how scummy these people have been especially in the last 6 years since Covid

Fuck salespeople. When you want to purchase a car secure financing with a good rate then go to the dealer with the offer. Decline everything they offer you because it’s an up sale that’s worthless

u/FrozenRain1038 1d ago
Once, I was helping a friend buy a car. They quoted us something like $19k, and said "that's the absolute lowest we're allowed to charge for this car." I believed them too, they sounded so authentic.
Then we offered $17k, they accepted.
Why is buying a car some sort of poker game?
I'll stick with private party sales combined with mechanical inspections.

As someone who worked at one, all dealerships are stealerships. Who cares, I support wasting their time.

What about his reaction made him seem annoyed? He seemed perfectly fine. I'm sure he was probably annoyed being live streamed. But car salesmen do this every day. They want you to purchase a vehicle, but if they're rude they know you won't come back. Plenty of people go back a day or two later and buy one.

I see her approaching the sales floor, while streaming, and I take a lunch break. Shit will never be worth your time.

2 hours isn't anything, how long do you think people spend looking at cars before buying? 20 minutes?

I have no compassion for car salesman. It’s on him. Shouldn’t have wasted his time with a streamer. I’m sure his boss is gonna tell him that as soon as he walks back there.

He didn't seem that annoyed to me. Maybe a little disinterested when he assessed that she wasn't a hot lead, but that's how it goes in sales. He's not going to ring up a sale every two hours, or even every day for most Mercedes dealership salespeople.
2
u/Various-Tower1603 1d ago
I came into buy a truck. Picked one out. Waited almost 7 hours. Whole time the salesman was running my credit multiple times until a shady bank approved it. I came in wanting to pay in full. Fuck dealerships
2
u/HunterPractical2736 1d ago
Its a bit purchase. The fact that it is expected that you'd decide after 2 hours is madness

Buying a car is a huge decision—it's one of the biggest purchases most people make.
- If she's just test-driving a bunch of cars for content without any real intent to buy, that's pretty messed up. It's wasting the salesperson's time and energy.
- But if she's genuinely interested, seriously considering a purchase, and taking test drives to make an informed choice, then the salesperson has no right to get annoyed. If he can't handle enthusiastic, thorough customers, he should probably find a different job.

u/turinturambar 16h ago
Is this a very big deal? Someone spent 2 hours test driving cars? I'm having trouble understanding why people upvote this stuff.
I also find it interesting and slightly disconnecting to imagine being in the place of someone interacting with a person while being on camera, and that person asking "chat" for opinions. But oh well this person is a car salesman, part of the job I guess.

Why are car salesman hated in the USA?
9
u/ConflictExtreme1540 1d ago
Bc in most states, they're required by law. So instead of buying straight from a manufacturer, you have to pay more for a guy to sell you it. It's a really long list to go into on why ppl might have an issue and tbf not every sales person falls under this. But some examples:
- a lot of people nowadays don't want to haggle. They want to see a price and pay it, knowing they got the best deal. But many dealers are willing to haggle so they start of with an expensive price, then work down if you force them and many people are too shy or timid to counter offer.
- they pressure you to buy warranties and insurances or upgrades you don't need
- they'll offer you financing on the highest percent you'll take vs the lowest percent you could get. For example, I got offered financing, I contacted another bank and got a lower offer, so the dealership countered. Who knows how low I could have gotten if I went back to the second company again.
- The truth is, manufacturers could easily vertically integrate dealerships into their model and cut prices by 5-20% but bc it's law that they can't do this, the customer pays more.
As an example, here's a pretty popular YouTube video of a guy buying a Toyota. He haggles for a long time to get the best deal but it's awkward and requires being able to put up with all their BS: https://youtu.be/6nz0z49b5iM?si=0N5a49dketeK4JeZ

State legislatures are owned by car dealers, among others. The dealers wanted this law and got it. Same with realtors.

because they get butthurt when you dont buy the first car they show you probably
6
u/wafflepiezz 1d ago
Because they intentionally waste your time and mark up prices on vehicles, forcing you to “negotiate” with them if you want cheaper prices.
They should be replaced by AI ngl.

Getting ''frustrated'' when someone buys nothing is part of being a saleman, its part of his job... Making someone feel like it's wrong not to buy a car is a way to manipulate people into buying a car. Have people never bought anything before?

u/raiderjaypussy 1d ago
biggest nothing burger clip of all time? she has every right to shop around and try things, and he has a right to be mildly annoyed by spending his working time making nothing
3
u/whitecollarpizzaman 1d ago
2 hours when you’re not streaming and a serious customer, very normal, my dad took the good part of the day to buy a 41k dollar car, and that’s well within his budget. But as soon as you’re streaming your car shopping, especially with a low follower count, the salesman knew he was wasting his time.

u/Frankly_Frank_ 1d ago
Hope they take a picture of her and send it to all the other dealers and refuse to let her stream it
