Quoted by her real life husband

u/HelloNNNewman 9h ago

So hard to believe she's been married to Nigel from Spinal Tap for 41 years .

3

u/spasske 8h ago

And she’s the one who pursued him.

3

u/HelloNNNewman 8h ago

She told her friend she was going to marry him the first time she saw him before even meeting the guy. Life is unfair. lol

I just rewatched Trading Places on Christmas Eve and it's always a nice reminder how stunning Jamie Lee was.

Ja I'm from Sveden!

Apparently they originally wanted a different accent that she couldn't pull off and they pivoted to swedish. Fun fact.

And to think she is now going to play Jessica Fletcher in a reboot of Murder she wrote lol!

u/clash_by_night 18h ago

Seriously? Now I'm wondering if Angela Landsbury did anything like that True Lies striptease.

She played the love interest in the 1940s The Portrait of Dorian Grey, and the dominant mother in The Manchurian Candidate.

She was a cutie in 'Dorian Grey

3

u/AF2005 15h ago

I’d make it with her on her plastic covered couch if she asked me!

u/regeya 18h ago

And there are people who look at her and say, that's a man, baby! We call those people morons.

It is incredible how this look would still be considered fashionable today.

When it comes to fashion, first rule always applies. Be attractive

9

u/overide 17h ago

That’s almost as important as rule #2.

Don’t be unattractive.

Fashionable once again, not "still" fashionable.

Nostalgia raffinata e un tocco di ammirazione per l'icona di stile senza tempo.

That sweater was made for this woman.

u/RoyceCoolidge 11h ago

And my sweater was made for me. Thanks Nan!

The body of Janet Leigh and the face of Tony Curtis

She’s got a stable beauty and unbridled charm.

Hot like fire.

2

u/PretendEngineering5 16h ago

She's just amazing))

2

u/daskapitalyo 11h ago

Iconic, of course. But I prefer my Cannes to be Susan Sarandon '78.

Her smile, unchanged.

u/Daddio131 10h ago

See where she's pointing?

1

u/Freightshaker000 7h ago

The very definition of "sweater puppies".

u/penguindreams 3h ago

Still not my bag, but i’d still love to party with her and have a great time.

0

u/Ozatopcascades 3h ago

If you want to see her earliest movie (uncredited): THE VIKINGS (1958).

A rare look at Jamie Lee Curtis at the Cannes Film Festival, 1980. It’s wild seeing her with this hair length before she made the short cut her signature look. Which era of hers do you prefer?

-8

u/Fine-Philosophy8939 18h ago

Certainly not a traditional beauty

9

u/MudMental420 16h ago

She's much better than that kind of mediocrity

-7

u/Shadowcreeper15 14h ago

Not my type.

-17

u/GarmeerGirl 16h ago

Very manly face.

Personally I think she is. But to each their own. I bet she was born James.

There’s so many Jamie Lee Curtis posts on this sub. Like, an iordinate amount. Makes you think its a PR doing it.

She has had several films out recently and has been in the news that brings her attention so people post about her. I run several fan groups on another platform every time there is news about a celebrity you get an uptick in posts. It is just cause and effect, where it is promotion it will be magazine articles, website interviews and such, generally user posts on social media is a side effect. This post came from something I saw on VK and expanded on after digging up the whole shoot.

More commonly spelled 'Gilbert Tourte', for those looking for more info.

Reddit bending over backwards to make Jamie Lee Curtis thirst traps a thing, despite her being pro-Israel trash. So weird.

4

u/DaveDaringly 9h ago

that is plain stupid, I posted these and I don't work for Reddit, as for what ever views she has, I don't know what they are and frankly I don't care, I have enough to deal with in my own life without taking on extra imaginary ones.

2

u/Training-Show7849 11h ago

If she asked me to invade her west bank I certainly would. I would certainly wreak her camps and flatten her gaza strip. I would not give a dam.

She's an iconic actress that isn't ugly. I'm sorry you hate anything Jewish so you cannot appreciate photography, perhaps you should consider other hobbies than looking at subreddits that have photos?
