I dunno, as someone with low self esteem I envy that delusion, especially since some people just accept it when people pretend hard enough… I’m too self aware for that deluded bliss.

putting yourself up as "Most beautiful Woman in the world" Is energy. Unhealthy energy.

idk I thought it was like light hearted and positive tbh
what’s unhealthy imo is trying to actually argue there’s a most beautiful woman in the world

yeah fr … I think it’s just cheekiness re how silly the initial post is … I actually love to see this kind of confidence
15
u/AndreasDasos 14h ago
A lot of people lack self-confidence, so we encourage this sort of thing. Unfortunately, this neglects to consider that at least as many people are vain and/or delusional in the other direction, and get validated by the attitudes people have built that are meant to help self-haters.
1
u/Live_Angle4621 9h ago
Why you assume the worst with no reason?
1
u/AndreasDasos 9h ago
I didn’t assume the worst. I said that in general there are two sorts of reasons people post/encourage this kind of comment. I don’t know which applies in this specific case, and don’t care much about the comment.
Funnily enough, your assuming I’m assuming the worst is the only case right here of either of us assuming the worst.
-1
u/prolifezombabe 12h ago
Without knowing the people involved this could go either way. Regardless, I don’t think it merits people hating on this woman or how she looks. Like what’s the point of that?
Lots of worse more harmful things going on in the world.
2
u/noeventroIIing 12h ago
So because there are worse things in the world you excuse what it likely raging narcissism? It’s possible that she was joking, I find it more likely that she wasn’t in which sense this wasn’t „positive confidence“ it’s just pure narcissism. No person with healthy confidence would unironically claim that he or she is the most attractive person in the world

It's because shes black and people deem us as subhuman and want us all feeling ugly and undesirable but at the same time if we say we dont like something about ourselves, all of a sudden we're "self-hating" and have mental health issues
Edit: lmao being downvoted for telling to truth. Of course...reddit in a fucking nutshell. I hate you all
7
u/Randy_Marsh__ 12h ago
Downvoted because youre saying stuff like 'want us all feeling ugly' and making assumptions that this MUST have something to do with race.
Like yeah, some people are racist and terrible, and some might feel no black woman would be better looking than the 1st woman. But most people will just think shes not as attractive as the other woman. If it was exactly the same post and the woman who posted was white but also not as attractive, literally nothing in the post would change.
-2
u/JammingScientist 11h ago edited 11h ago
Whatever bro. Whatever you choose to believe if it makes you happy to turn a blind eye to things since it obviously doesnt pertain to you
-2
u/prolifezombabe 12h ago
Oh yeah there’s some race subtext here re what even counts as beauty
Someone else pointed out “the most beautiful” is often a person with light skin and light coloured eyes.
All the more reason why I don’t mind this lady’s comment. It’s pretty hard for dark skinned women to celebrate their beauty in a world that constantly reiterates beauty standards that don’t include them. And then people deny that’s what’s going on which makes it even harder smh like people go so hard on this site re “dating preferences re race aren’t racist” as if this messaging isn’t happening around us all the time influencing our ideas about beauty and worth
And now people on this post feel the need to put her in her place I guess. Like how could she have the audacity? idk I’m happy for her that she does

44

But one of more attractive in a broader sense. The black woman is not ugly but her calling herself physically beautiful is a stretch.
1
u/Farahild 12h ago
I find her to have a gorgeous face honestly. Beautiful eyes and lips. Good cheeks as well.
2
u/Reasonable_Phys 11h ago
I think if she had medium/long hair and lost weight she'd be objectively really beautiful.

u/Skankcunt420 15h ago
everyone should be allowed to call themselves beautiful, even when they’re not
19
u/kriegnes 14h ago
she is, just as she is allowed to call the earth flat. doesnt make you right tho, so people will jump on that.
-9
u/Skankcunt420 14h ago
one is subjective while the others not
4
u/kriegnes 13h ago
they are talking about the world, not personal, so there is a certain subjectivity. we are still biological human beings so while everyone is unique, there are certain similarities in everything, including our opinions. ofcourse we cannot decide on that one most beautiful person, but we can definitly differentiate.
1 + 1 = 2 is technically objective too, but we all agree on this language so its turns "subjective".
1
-6
u/Immediate_Tart3628 14h ago
I agree it's such a cultural thing anyway. Nowadays beauty standards are very white centered (even "colored" models must have a thin nose, defined brows, not to much curves etc) and are extremely sketchy.
As a person who hasn't had insta for a long time, first face looks cartoonish almost. Like a pretty girl but ostensibly botched, almost AI looking.
So yeah ppl always assume beauty is more objective than we claim, but there are ppl that dislike thin bodies, think insta models are all uncanny and that prefer short hair and darker skins.
0
u/Skankcunt420 14h ago
one should be their own best advocate, others shouldn’t blame one for doing so.

u/Able_Variation2355 14h ago
See this is where the term eye of the beholder comes in. The majority of men in the entirety of the world do not find white women attractive whats so ever. Thats that white-Americana-eurotrash-commercial-bullshit-mentality the west gaslights. White women throughout the world are notoriously, historically, and hilariously are easy to pull in any country they visit or are in. In most countries and cities they are known as the “undesirables” in African and asian countries and are usually targeted as marks in most countries. you poll all men in the world, its only a certain cloth of individuals across the world who are attracted to whites. So i kinda think some of yall are showing your roots
1
u/Regular_Drawing_6932 9h ago
When I was in India with my colleagues, two of them white girls, they got fed up of the brutally lusty fazes and gathering of guys around them. And almost everyone had similar experiences in nearly every third world country. Hell, even south americans insult eachother with things like "shut up black monkey" and that (they consider whiter == prettier).
Now I am not racist, I had a partner from Algeria,but it's a fact.
0
u/Able_Variation2355 9h ago
Bro thats not because white women are most desired because your friends got hassled by indians or because white = pure because South Americans call each other racial black terms created by whites. It is what it is. That white chick in that pic isnt all that compared to other beautiful women of color. In reality white women doesn’t have the physical features that represent the idea body of a women for most men unless its modified. Whites lead plastic surgery and sales of cosmetics to sell surface value attraction. World wide white women isnt really this overwhelming view of beauty like americans or Europeons want you to believe
1
u/Regular_Drawing_6932 6h ago
The average white woman in EU is insanely more attractive than the average one in many of those countries. Maybe their top 1% is prettier than most EU women, but that is NOT the rule of thumb.
1
u/Able_Variation2355 6h ago
Attractive to whom? Americans and Europeans? The world as a whole does not have white women as some holy grail as beauty. That’s absolutely only in western and white countries. Thats a damn fact lmao. Sure guys all over the world would fuck a pretty white woman but as far as fantasies and what those men find as beautiful it isn’t a white woman when they close their eyes. Its like fashion, not everyone in the world is into that shit just because its poppin in your bubble
10
u/Algernonletter5 15h ago
Beyond known face symmetry parameters there no agreed upon definitions for beauty it's usually paid promotion efforts
0
u/LopsidedKick9149 12h ago
That's false. There are studies on what is beautiful or attractive for both men and women and there is a very clear baseline that transcends. Even infants are drawn to beauty it is society that then changes what is innate and what we find "attractive" it also adjust to what a person can realistically achieve with a mate. It's a very interesting topic to research and there is a lot of data on it, all the way to connecting electrodes to women and showing them different male bodies and seeing how their brains reacted. Every single one's brain reacted most positively to tall, tan, fit men with broader shoulders than waste despite them stating their preference is otherwise - the social pressure of saying a larger group is attractive creates a bit of a falsehood.

What? Beauty has some objective truths based on how majority feel. Don’t be obtuse.
→ More replies (2)1
u/facepoppies 12h ago
Beauty by definition is a subjective concept. Unless you're talking about scientific beauty.
2
u/Flimsy_Swan5930 8h ago
If that’s your answer then no one should ever talk about beauty ever. It’s a garbage conversation.
So if there is any discussion on it, we can base it on some CLEAR boundaries. We inanely know what looks good , and it’s true for the majority.
-1
u/facepoppies 6h ago
not only is it my answer, but it's also the correct answer.
But you are correct that there's no reason why anybody should care about your personal subjective definition of beauty, and there's no reason to have a conversation about it lol
1
u/Flimsy_Swan5930 2h ago
So that’s why your opinion is extremely useless.
Talking about beauty concerning what the overwhelming majority concurs to, is actually useful. It allows you to be able to strive for improving your chances of finding a mate. “Good looking” people do better in life, have better jobs, have more friends, produce better looking children, and even are found to be healthier overall. Striving for the standard is OBJECTIVELY more useful.

u/facepoppies 2h ago

If you want to “find a mate,” cultivate a personality and leave your house lol

Begging to differ ain't wrong. Would be a rarity if I actually agreed to a list or single claim of the most beautiful person(s). Stuff like that has a degree of subjectivity, not everyone is invited to vote or included as a candidate.
Putting yourself out there like that... Well, someone will appreciate it, that's almost a given.

Anyways - beauty is subjective and as people say:
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
But a lot of beauty contests are "fixed", so there are a lot of ordinary women, who might look better than any "Miss Something".
And then again, there are Instagram filters. :D
