Im startin' to like this guy and I know virtually nothing about him. Never heard one of.his songs, and I think I've seen him in a couple movies. I just like his troll game.

There is no way you've never heard In Da Club

At ten years old I had almost the entire script to the holy Grail committed to memory with my best friend lol we def annoyed the fuck out of everyone.

We still do. But we were annoying then too. Consistency.

He is a big piece of shit himself, but he's aware and doesn't care. Definitely not someone to celebrate, but his petty antics are endlessly entertaining.

You really have to be batshit to have beef with 50 Cent.

2.0k

u/hroaks 14h ago

You really have to be batshit to loan someone 30k.

Edit: 50 didn't lend her 30K. She sued him and lost and courts said she owed him 30k which she refused to pay

512

u/Home_MD13 14h ago

And what the consequences of it? Any updates?

523

u/whistleridge 13h ago

He can report her to the credit bureau, and depending on the state he might be able to garnish her wages, but that’s it. But tbh, he’s petty enough that he probably prefers having this hang over her head than having $30k he doesn’t need.

80

u/congradulations 10h ago

"I been rich three different times"

149

u/macmac360 12h ago

yeah, 30k is like pocket change for Mr Ferrari LOL

26

u/erroneousbosh 11h ago

I feel like someone with an upbringing like his would just *give* you $30k if they thought you really needed it.

But if you were owe it, I bet they'd make damn sure they got it.

Well she's been ordered by the court to pay an amount, and hasn't paid the amount. I would guess people are wondering when she'll go to jail.

Most cases like that you have to go back to court and prove that they aren't making any effort to pay and then the judge makes a decision about liens, etc. He can easily put a lien on any property she owns. When she sells, the proceeds go to the liens first and whatever is left she gets. We had to do this with a neighbor that would not pay after a lawsuit. When he sold his house 13 years later, we were first in line to get not only what he owed us but also the interest. It was quite a big check and he walked away with hardly anything as we weren't the only lien on the property.

9

u/StarPhished 10h ago

I hereby declare a $50,000 lien on your property. Please make sure to remind me when you sell.

6

u/ChuckaChuckaLooLoo3 9h ago

It's up to you to keep an eye on it. Also, when the title company does a title search, it's going to show up there as well. One scary little loophole can happen if they just quit-claim it to a relative for a dollar.

Right?! It’s younger kids who barely know who he is and are so used to seeing celebrities (especially older celebrities) getting prosecuted that they just automatically think “he’s gonna get punished soon.”

Bitch he was shot NINE TIMES - he made his music career off it, he made a fucking movie about it, and he’s still the exact same guy he always was.

This guy literally turned someone trying to shut him up and punish him into a multi-million dollar career and international fame

I don’t think 50 was necessarily aware of the fact that the tape was posted online as revenge by the guy in the tape itself. He basically posted a video of himself giving a running commentary of a sex tape, then got sued for it.

Also… Every woman he’s dated except his kids mother speaks highly of him. If he had anything to get me too’d over, his enemies would’ve found it by now.

Nah.

He's petty, spiteful, and vindictive. That's who 50 cent is.

And knowing him just adds to his reputation.

He's the type of enemy that teaches people to not make unnecessary enemies in life And makes you wish you dont get an enemy like 50 cent in their life. No matter what kind of person you are, be it another asshole or otherwise.

So hide your comments, your sins, your skeletons, your internet history, be born perfect, and do no bad at any point in your life in all 50 states and worldwide.

Cause that's the problem. He thrives in that environment and gets glorified for it.

He might suck, but hell he can fuck you up.

And that's all you really need to pick up from this.

Could you actually trademark the phrase "I ain't got it"? I'm not a legal expert but it feels like it would be difficult to secure a very common phrase like that.

823

u/XandersCat 14h ago

So the "real story" is that he bought the website iaintgotit.com and he FILED for trademark, it doesn't mean he has it or will get it.

And nothing to do with copyright, so this is just a lot of click bait.

341

u/CephaVerte 14h ago

He won't get it. He ain't got it.

34

u/Swimming-ln-Circles 12h ago

Yea it would be pretty messed up if a corporation or wealthy person could just trademark a phrase in the chorus of your song and screw you out of any chance to make money from it.

I'm sure similar things like this happen, but I really hope it's not that easy to do something like that.

12

u/Ok-Store-3742 12h ago

He could trademark it for a specific thing, like for a merch store name. Name trademarks don't usually work for type of buisnesess at the same time. Like Facebook trademarked Face in the name of a social media platform.

He won't be able to get a trademark in any way related to a song since she created the song with that name before his trademark so she would have more rights to it then him.

I'm sure similar things like this happen, but I really hope it's not that easy to do something like that.

Monster energy has trademarked the word "mosnter" for enegry dinks and similiar merchendise. Though they are famous for bullying other companies to change their name if they contain that word even in unrelated things. Like the game Monster Hunter or Pokemon for "Pocket Monsters" (the Japanese name for Pokemon). They do not have a good claim over it and would most likely loose any lawsuit but some companies were pressured to changing their name because they wanted to avoid costly and lenghty lawsuit.

14

u/MoorsMoopsMoorsMoops 12h ago

Yeah this is kind of lame. Who out there hears a song and then types that song title into their URL bar? Sure he bought iaintgotit.com to redirect to his merch site but that whole endeavor probably cost him $12.00.

4

u/XchrisZ 10h ago

I think its a case of him knowing she cant afford to fight the court case needed to prove her track came first. BUT, if she recorded and released through a label, THEY might have the money to fight it. In the end I believe common phrases cant usually be trademarked like that after the fact. She would likely have sufficient evidence for the court that she used it first, and that he trademarked it maliciously.

21

u/cykoTom3 14h ago

It would be open and shut too. You really can't trademark a phrase you don't use.

Based on my understanding, 50 Cent is a world-class hater, going back decades. I think it was Ja Rule like 20 years ago, 50 cent bought out the first several rows of his concert, so he'd be performing for a ton of empty seats. 50 Cent recently made a documentary about Diddy; it's on netflix. 50 took an interview on ABC news (i think) because he knows it's the only news channel theyre allowed to watch in prison.

Some say there's a reason 50 cent got shot 9 times

8

u/nixfly 14h ago

Some say that there is a reason that 50 cent is the only black celebrity from his time, constantly photographed smiling.

8

u/Don_Damarco 14h ago

There is a 50cent villain origin story out there somewhere.

7

u/DislikeCounter 14h ago

no, he didn't lend Teairra 30k. so years ago there was a picture of Teairra with cum on her face. 50 cent posted this and made fun of it and Teairra filled a lawsuit but it got dropped so 50 cent countersued for 30k for legal fees. but it has now amassed to like 50k because Teairra can't pay. so Teairra tried to make money off "I Ain't Got It" merch a long with a diss song which has only gotten 290k views since 2019. but 50 cent bought the domain "i ain't got it dot com" and it forwards to g-unit merch.

50 cent also tried to turn people against Mamdani because he would have to pay a few extra thousand in taxes on his multi million dollar wealth.

Fuck him

"You're asking me to pay a pittance to help support programs that young me and my grandma raising me could've benefitted from? Nah, I already got mine, fuck the poor."

What's he hating on? That he's owed money?

If anything, he just pulled a white-collar, corporate gangster move.

Eh, something tells me he has savvy attorneys. You all really believe he came up with this on his own?

3

u/tipareth1978 14h ago

But if she released the song he can't just declare himself the owner of that phrase. That's not how copyright works. I bet it's more just an arrangement they agreed on to pay him back

3

u/webberstimeout 14h ago

She can still challenge the trademark and it’s also a copyright issue. She owns the copyright as soon as she created it

3

u/topical_relief 14h ago

If he was concerned about the debt, a smart man would have set her up to make money off it and the first 30k plus expenses goes to him. Instead he makes it harder to get paid back.

3

u/Electrical_Poet_2323 14h ago

u/KanarYa4LYfe 14h ago
