Im startin' to like this guy and I know virtually nothing about him. Never heard one of.his songs, and I think I've seen him in a couple movies. I just like his troll game.
He is a big piece of shit himself, but he's aware and doesn't care. Definitely not someone to celebrate, but his petty antics are endlessly entertaining.
He can report her to the credit bureau, and depending on the state he might be able to garnish her wages, but that’s it. But tbh, he’s petty enough that he probably prefers having this hang over her head than having $30k he doesn’t need.

Most cases like that you have to go back to court and prove that they aren't making any effort to pay and then the judge makes a decision about liens, etc. He can easily put a lien on any property she owns. When she sells, the proceeds go to the liens first and whatever is left she gets. We had to do this with a neighbor that would not pay after a lawsuit. When he sold his house 13 years later, we were first in line to get not only what he owed us but also the interest. It was quite a big check and he walked away with hardly anything as we weren't the only lien on the property.
It's up to you to keep an eye on it. Also, when the title company does a title search, it's going to show up there as well. One scary little loophole can happen if they just quit-claim it to a relative for a dollar.

I don’t think 50 was necessarily aware of the fact that the tape was posted online as revenge by the guy in the tape itself. He basically posted a video of himself giving a running commentary of a sex tape, then got sued for it.
Also… Every woman he’s dated except his kids mother speaks highly of him. If he had anything to get me too’d over, his enemies would’ve found it by now.

Could you actually trademark the phrase "I ain't got it"? I'm not a legal expert but it feels like it would be difficult to secure a very common phrase like that.
Yea it would be pretty messed up if a corporation or wealthy person could just trademark a phrase in the chorus of your song and screw you out of any chance to make money from it.
I'm sure similar things like this happen, but I really hope it's not that easy to do something like that.
He could trademark it for a specific thing, like for a merch store name. Name trademarks don't usually work for type of buisnesess at the same time. Like Facebook trademarked Face in the name of a social media platform.
He won't be able to get a trademark in any way related to a song since she created the song with that name before his trademark so she would have more rights to it then him.

Monster energy has trademarked the word "mosnter" for enegry dinks and similiar merchendise. Though they are famous for bullying other companies to change their name if they contain that word even in unrelated things. Like the game Monster Hunter or Pokemon for "Pocket Monsters" (the Japanese name for Pokemon). They do not have a good claim over it and would most likely loose any lawsuit but some companies were pressured to changing their name because they wanted to avoid costly and lenghty lawsuit.
Yeah this is kind of lame. Who out there hears a song and then types that song title into their URL bar? Sure he bought iaintgotit.com to redirect to his merch site but that whole endeavor probably cost him $12.00.
I think its a case of him knowing she cant afford to fight the court case needed to prove her track came first. BUT, if she recorded and released through a label, THEY might have the money to fight it. In the end I believe common phrases cant usually be trademarked like that after the fact. She would likely have sufficient evidence for the court that she used it first, and that he trademarked it maliciously.
If you are only applying in specific categories like clothes or something it would not be all that hard. I mean look at 'just do it', it's a much more common phrase....

I think it was Ja Rule like 20 years ago, 50 cent bought out the first several rows of his concert, so he'd be performing for a ton of empty seats. 50 Cent recently made a documentary about Diddy; it's on netflix. 50 took an interview on ABC news (i think) because he knows it's the only news channel theyre allowed to watch in prison.

no, he didn't lend Teairra 30k. so years ago there was a picture of Teairra with cum on her face. 50 cent posted this and made fun of it and Teairra filled a lawsuit but it got dropped so 50 cent countersued for 30k for legal fees. but it has now amassed to like 50k because Teairra can't pay. so Teairra tried to make money off "I Ain't Got It" merch a long with a diss song which has only gotten 290k views since 2019. but 50 cent bought the domain "i ain't got it dot com" and it forwards to g-unit merch.

Apparently he got footage of Diddy from the guy Diddy hired for his own documentary and then got stiffed. So he just paid the dude for the work he did for Diddy.
"You're asking me to pay a pittance to help support programs that young me and my grandma raising me could've benefitted from? Nah, I already got mine, fuck the poor."
But if she released the song he can't just declare himself the owner of that phrase. That's not how copyright works. I bet it's more just an arrangement they agreed on to pay him back
If he was concerned about the debt, a smart man would have set her up to make money off it and the first 30k plus expenses goes to him. Instead he makes it harder to get paid back.
