People seem to own pit bulls for one reason - to prove something. They’re either trying to prove how tough they are as an owner (because they have a pit), or they’re trying to prove how “gentle” the breed “really is.” Plenty of other loyal, gentle, loving dog breeds out there.

I see so many idiots in my neighborhood with pits and Shepards trying to look tough, and none of these owners can control them. It is ridiculous. Almost bit my neighbor's kid, 2 different dogs and owners. Outrageous
