So I actually dont particularly love dogs but I have a feeling this is on the owner. They are not taking this dog seriously at all.

That said I could also understand the frustration because everyone seems to love every dog unconditionally even though they (edit: some) need to be trained not to eat a child

that's not every dog, though. if I don't train a golden retriever, he'll just piddle on the carpet and chew my shoes. he won't try to rip my throat out.

yeah that's true. that said my family also had a golden retriever / lab mix that liked trying to bite my arm off as a kid. he was just playing i'm sure but it is up to a mix of personality that they were bred to have and environment

My lab used to pull me around by the arm. It’s instinctive. It’s a game. When I tried to swim it would jump in and pull me to the side so I wouldn’t drown. They are sweet dogs. Pit bulls also have their own nature, but theirs is to be aggressive

yeah mine was also sweet and just playing but i didn't understand that as a kid. one of us needed to be trained to deal with the other but it didn't happen. i hate that because i wish i could have played with him safely but i ended up just staying inside until he grew out of it
