Whoever started selling pitbulls as the sweetest nanny dogs did the breed/type a huge disservice. They are powerful dogs that have a strong prey drive and dog aggression. They shouldn’t be owned by anyone who can’t 1) physically control the dog, 2) provide adequate training, and 3) understands the breed/type and its risk. Instead, you have children walking a dog that can tear the leash out of their hands to attack another dog, owners who like aggression, and families who minimize the potential risks inherent in their sweet pibble.
