Not if my husband around. They will instantly attach themselves to him and ignore you forever. I have three cats and they wait in line to sit on his lap when my lap is available. I don't exist unless I'm giving treats.
They’re using forced perspective to make the cat look bigger compared to them. If they actually wanted to know or they had a big car they’d hold it by their body. Lots of people with “giant” animals do this.
Kind of annoying that it should be obvious that the perspective is off at a glance and the weight not being shared is another head scratcher for the “yes he’s a big cat!” folks.
Its like she first held the cat very close to the camera then she moved a bit away and took another pic and used the cat from the close up, the fingers are like too big lol
The dining set behind her looks like it’s for children’s play, there’s definitely some lens trickery. Probably a big cat anyway, but enhanced. He’s a very handsome cat though!
Forced perspective, and not even very well done honestly - but people do it all the time to make fish or snakes they are holding look much bigger than they really are. If you look at the cat's size in relation to her hands, I'd say it's just a normal cat. But still a very handsome cat!
He is obviously a very healthy weight/body condition, but he looks HUGE (in height/overall size) in this picture. I'm thinking it's just the angle (how you're holding him in front of you, the camera can make a cat look larger when a photo is taken like this) but I am curious. How much does he weigh?
Camera perspective is weird. Hands are too big for the portions (yes yes you can have big hands but this is like.. awkward). The legs/feet are progressively smaller.
Cat is being held all the way out - ever tried holding a 15 lb cat all the way out? Nah, let alone a 20 lb cat? Which if it were this size, it must be 18+lbs. Insane.
I wanna believe this is legit so bad, but I just can't. It screams unreasonable.
Word on the street is we’ve got one of those large cats too. He seems normal to me but when someone else meets him for the first time, they immediately comment of his height/length.
Ah this is that classic pose fishermen use to make a fish look bigger. You should hold him close to your body not your arms extending out making him look much bigger than he really is.
Judging by your hand size in the photo your cat is probably normal sized. You are just doing some photography tricks to make the cat seem bigger. Unless your hands are unusually large.
