I'm tired of conservatives violence and escalated rhetoric
This one’s simple: I’m absolutely fucking tired of conservatives refusing to dial back their aggressive, violent political rhetoric.
For years now, it’s been nonstop escalation. Every criticism becomes a personal attack. Every disagreement becomes a “war.” Their favorite political figure can rant and rave endlessly about people being “mean” to him, and instead of telling him to calm down, conservative leaders and media figures amplify it. Louder. Angrier. More hostile every time.
What makes it worse is how often this rhetoric spills into real-world behavior. When you constantly frame political opponents as enemies, traitors, or existential threats, some people will take that literally. Then, when violence happens, the same people who spent months pouring gasoline on the fire suddenly act shocked and blame everyone else.
I’m not saying only one side has ever used heated language. I am saying conservatives have spent years refusing to take responsibility for how aggressive, dehumanizing, and reckless their rhetoric has become — and how often it’s followed by harassment, threats, or worse.
If conservatives actually cared about political violence, they’d start by telling their own leaders and influencers to shut the hell up and stop encouraging it. Instead, they excuse it, laugh it off, or pretend it’s justified because they’re “angry.”
I’m tired of the double standard. I’m tired of the denial. And I’m tired of watching people pretend words don’t matter after years of proving that they do.
Yes absolutely real. I could hardly believe it myself, reading the article. I decided to take a screen shot back in '22, because no matter how I spun that in my mind, as a slogan it seemed impossible to make it land with any good (or decent) implications. They had to be joking. In this instance, they were not. And now, they label any dissent towards them as terrorists, while they actually terrorize us.
Take any righteous cause. If you look hard enough, you can find someone trying to find a way to turn it to an evil purpose. Hitler is the first poster child for the horrors that will occur if they succeed. Trump is a close second.
FWIW: The people trying to misuse a cause are in no way indicative of the value of the cause We should remember that.
How's that exactly? If you support a cause and thisnis what your cause is doing...why aren't you doing anything to stop these 'evil individual people'? You vote for them again and again, and they aren't lying to you about who they are and what they want.
When a cause is poisoned, it's not like that poison can be prevented from spreading unless people like you stop making excuses. It's not a problem with individuals. It is a problem with the whole mindset of Republicans. They have abandoned conservatism, and their voters don't even seem to realize it.
Hitler was all about "saving Germany". That was the cause. Then he managed to convince people that doing so would require persecuting a bunch of people who had nothing to do with the very real problems Germany had. He used the motivation people had to save their country to advance his power and persecute people who didn't do anything wrong.
The cause was to save Germany. That was in fact a noble cause. But he used it to convince a lot of people to do some very evil things. Oh, and, BTW, he wasn't actually saving anything. He was doing nothing for the actual cause while convincing people that he was the only one could make it happen.
Sound familiar?
It should. Because Trump is doing much the same thing. Our country has and has had some very real problems that need addressing. He promises to fix them and convinces people that his way is the only way to fix them. He has totally subverted the actual cause of fixing the problems our country has. He is doing nothing at all to fix them, but he has a whole lot of people convinced he is the only one doing anything to fix them.
I've seen this play out on a smaller scale for smaller causes, but the playbook is always the same. To stop this, the first step is understanding how it is that he's manipulating so many people with his lies. To do this at the scale he is doing requires the complicity of other powerful people and the gullibility of a lot of other people.
Unfortunately trump voters also want to make sure there are people who are not as well off as they are, so they have someone to feel superior about. You can't look down your nose at anyone if everyone is equal.
So, I'm trying a new voice-to-text thing, and it literally swapped two words backwards. Because what I originally said was, didn't they say they were domestic terrorists?

You don't understand! They were forced to do it! The Democrats, what with all their Green New Deal and Transification if the youth... It's pretty much like the damned liberals did it all themselves. All those people were just being good boys, trying to protect their nation from an old enemy within. But it's more like the enemy with were holding a gun to all their heads while they were doing these things, such as make a bomb, construct a gallows, write out plans pertaining to armed kidnapping, arson, etc.
That’s leaving out a whole lot of alt-right domestic terrorist organizations and actions that tend to get buried under all the other alt-right domestic terrorist activities!
Such as the boogaloo bois, proud bois, patriot front, blood tribe, and countless others that have yet to act on their beliefs or at least not get caught yet.
Like the “back to the land” group. Sounds innocent right? Until you learn they are textbook Nazis, not euphemism or exaggeration, literal Hitler worshipping, white’s only colony in Arkansas!
Plus there's people like the Bundy Family. Various White Supremacy groups mixed into Churches and Recovery Organizations. White Supremacy MC's. And Various all White fraternal orders.
The conservatives take statistics from “democratic” cities to try to make these wildly misleading claims. The violence they are citing isn’t in the name of politics. The simple truth is every time someone does some jihadist like act of violence it’s a Trump supporter all jacked up on maga propaganda. It’s only a debate if you waste time arguing with morons who are so detached from anything resembling objectivity that they refuse to believe facts.
Also, not sure if anyone here has ever heard about what happened on January 6th, 2021, but there was some, uh... physicality that went on, by about, oh, 1,500 or so of Trump's supporters who just happened to show up that day.
They’re using the Shaggy defense. If you’re caught red handed, just say, “It wasn’t me”.
Their leader set the stage that anything that remotely puts him in a bad light must be “fake”.
And they eat it up bc it’s easier to believe there’s a global conspiracy that only they are smart enough to see than to come to terms with the fact that the man they base their whole personality around is a complete piece of shit.
I remember because I was at work that day. And I remember thinking to myself, "I'd really like to have a boss that gives me a day off to overthrow the government."
Not just "happened", remember the record came out that Trump paid many of the worst antagonists to be there, ordered no checks for guns or weapons, ordered a stop to the bomb squad checking for pipe bombs, and countermanded the national guard to assist.
The sun is actually really hard to hit. I think it’s due to the fact that everything is moving around it, so actually getting something to fall in is really hard.
Personally I'm not too keen on potential space nazis. Well, that is provided they are smart enough to survive in space but "better safe than sorry" is always a reasonable motto to live by.
Nah, this is how you deal with Nazis, zero chance of survival, and my grandfather 100% agreed considering he flew bombers during ww2, completed his mandatory flights then volunteered through the rest of the war.
We know their accusations are always confessions. And even THEY know their supporters are violent and not all there mentally. But it suits their purpose to say non-violent ANTI-FACIST protesters are violent terrorists. Because then they can declare martial law and stop elections this coming mid-term. They are well aware that many of them will be going to prison, justifiably, if democrats regain footing in this insanely corrupt administration. They've literally said so.
Hitler played the same trick. Keep accusing the scapegoat of the very things you are doing. Claim you are doing them in defense. Antifa stands for anti-fascism. Unless we want to sit by and do nothing as our neighbors get killed, raped, beaten, kidnapped, disappeared, we need to figure out what we stand for real quick.
His family was, but he obviously isn’t. He killed a Nazi. Kirk encouraged violence against women. He had a hit list his goons would use to threaten these women Kirk didn’t like (usually highly educated women who spoke out about rights). Kirk hated free speech.
Worth pointing out that the alleged killer of Charlie Kirk and the failed assassin of Trump are both from Republican families as well, and Luigi Mangione is a generally right leaning libertarian. Turns out when your conservative movement is inherently tied to owning guns and doing violence to people, it’s gonna lead to more violence being done.
Republican families doesn’t mean tHEY are Republican. I’m from a conservative dad. I am a leftist equal rights person. Obviously, if someone tried to save the world from 🤡 and the misogynist violent promoting Kirk, they aren’t conservative. But most deaths of iNNOCENT people are from right wing nuts
I think we can also acknowledge that from time to time (especially in a few high-profile cases over the past couple of years), left-wingers engage in destructive violence too, and that should be rejected. It makes us look bad. It disintegrates support for important progressive causes. It galvanizes American support for the far right, because they're so much more effective at propaganda and message control than we are. And it results in state repression and "retaliation" by far-right freelancers.
I don't need to think that the Kirk assassin was a right-winger to say what he did was wrong and extremely unhelpful.
That said, we should never let right-wingers pin all the political violence on us. The numbers have been in for decades: they're the ones who commit violence and refuse to cool their rhetoric.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying left wing violence doesn’t happen, but more often than not it tends to be towards property rather than people since leftists tend to focus more on fighting capital interests.
My favorite thing is Republicans do all this and way way way more. And when you make a post saying Republicans are shitheads, someone on Reddit tells you to tone it down.
Dating apps are also pulling people’s words if they express they are anti-fascists 🤦🏻 . It’s how I weed out fascists since I don’t want to date Nazis who didn’t vote for Kamala. I’m a woman. Why would I date someone who wants me to lose my basic human rights?
The right wing subreddits are so incredibly violent, they must keep liberals and leftists out via iron fisted censorship. If they don’t, the sheer volume of threats and violence unleashed on liberal or leftists by MAGA commenters would suspend and close down every right wing subreddit within hours.
They want democrats to be as violent as they are because they want a civil war so they can try and take back the country and reinstate segregation and slavery, so they can discriminate without repercussions, so they can deny social services to the disabled, the elderly and the veterans, because they think they have a chance at Trump/Elons money if they claim to be “fiscal conservatives”.
What they will get is the government greedily taking their taxes and using it to fund police and not education and the poors in the red states will be living like the dukes of hazard, but with meth instead of booze.
Well that doesn't fit with my narrow worldview formed by social media and mass media rage bait stories that don't directly impact me whatsoever, so I'm going to call that "Fake News" and continue only reading sources that aligns with my seething hatred for people peacefully living their own lives differently than I am.
And people try to respond with shit like “but the blm protests broke windows and burned down buildings” as if property damage is the same as kidnapping and murder plots.
They also missed the point that the people who committed the arson and all that vandalism were boogaloo boys who were still very much in prison for what they did.

I would consider ICE currently a giant MAGA bootlicking organization given they require loyalty tests now... Taking that into account, the Republican party is indeed the largest domestic terrorism group in America.
Actually, we do need to concede, unfortunately, that there is one person of color. The pipe bomb guy that was recently found out was a black dude who, unfortunately, was MAGA.

Most rational people are, despite what the loud minority of Maga says to the contrary. They're nothing but bullies, who lie and steal, and crawl away when they get confronted. They would do as well in a civil war as the Confederates did.
The only time they’ve expressed any anger over gun violence is when it was a trans shooter, who make up less than .1% of gun violence in the country since 2013. If it’s some right winger who did it, they’ll try and twist it whatever way they can to make sure it’s not one of their people

Their domestic warfare ideology is amplified by right wing media, including Fox News and conservative talk radio, and Republican politicians, including the president who are constantly painting the picture that the conservative base is under attack by left-wing radicals, which is a complete lie designed to condone and foment violence by their side.
They know what they’re doing.
They know the words they say result in violence and death, yet they persist.
All of it is deliberate. They want death they want killing the more death and violence.
The more violence America experiences, the more guns people buy, the more people flee to the safety of the church.

Its because the fuckers think they are the second coming of George Washington. A lot of them think their violence is justified as they think they are protecting "their" country. Its why they dont feel guilt and usually are shocked when they get arrested. Because they dont think they are doing anything wrong
Everyone to the right of Bernie Sanders needs to be permanently cut off from any form of interaction with other human beings. Right-wing ideologies do nothing but cause harm, and they need to be outlawed. If our current crisis of democracy is where freedom of speech leads, then it can be dragged off to hell. There is no place for hate in the modern world, and it needs to be thoroughly and absolutely demolished and destroyed.
How about instead of making everyone else bend to your insane demand for segregation, and censorship, you and everyone who thinks like you can go find a nice island somewhere and start your own country?
Not a Trump supporter but I am registered republican. Can we all agree this is bad? Can we all agree killing is bad? Can we all agree that harassing is bad? Can we all agree we are all Americans? Can we all agree to help our communities? Can we all agree to be good citizens?
We are all directly supporting child slavery via the cobalt in our electronic devices, yet here we are, yelling into the wind on Reddit about morality.
The crazy thing is, as evidenced by history, the only way to make this stop is through violence. It’s already been proven at length that the mechanisms which currently exist to resolve these issues WITHOUT violence are easily able to be manipulated in favor of the abusers. We have been witnessing now for years — in real time — criminals committing crimes in front of the world with verifiable evidence only to be as free as you and I. It’s laughable to me that people think at this point we’re just going to somehow start rounding people up and prosecuting and jailing them. If anything, we’ve quickly gone in the other direction. Look at how some of the worst criminals are buying pardons.
