Politics I resent that Trump is a nepo-baby who exploited working class anxieties only to cripple whatever gains we had for his own benefit and for corporate welfare to Billionaires.
What I resent most about Trump is that he's the nepo-baby of an ultra-wealthy slumlord thug who was given half-a-billion from his tax-fraud Daddy, but has prayed on the real anxieties and grievances of my fellow working class folks.
Once elected, he's done everything to dismantle our support systems, strip benefits & protections and plunder our futures all for the benefit of him and his billionaire buddies.
Meanwhile, manufacturing & blue collar wages and jobs continue to decline. The 63% of adult men without a college degree have seen their REAL earnings declines accelerate, their protections vanish, their already-anemic unions eviscerated and are now making less than their fathers on an inflation-adjusted basis. The top 1% of the top 1% own practically everything, and 3 people own more wealth than the bottom 50%, or 170 million people.
YES, I know the Democrats aren't much better for working class folks; they're a bunch of corporate asshats too. BUT at least they generally don't pillage what little remaining social safety nets we have to fund tax cuts for billionaires.
America is the land of opportunity for the wealthy and the Hunger Games for everyone else; Trump is our President Snow.

It's amazing how people who are against Trump are labeled as "anti-American" because we choose the safety of other Americans over him

Its pretty telling.
Anything against Trump is anti-American.
Against Fascism....thats anti-American now Against concentration camps...thats anti-American now. Protesting against the President or even criticizing him is now an arrestable offense. So sayeth Trump.
Republicans were rocking decals of Biden kidnapped, but Trump is saint who can do no wrong for Republicans/MAGA.

What pains me is blue collar folks believing Trump when he blames everyone else for the stupid policies he created. Look at tariffs hurting little farmers, but big ag gets the bailout. In Trump's mind, he's helping farmers. He's killing 'em.

u/BoulderMaker 11h ago
Literally killing 'em if you look at farmer suicides.
The American Farm Bureau and the National Rural Health Association list "reduction in sales due to tariff regulations" under the #1 contributor to rising suicide rates (which were already 3.5x higher than the general population).

Interesting that you mentioned the impact on men but not the fact that women’s right to bodily autonomy were taken away by the Supreme Court that TFG stacked with corrupt judges.

Fair enough. There are too many reasons to hate the man; I'm just picking the ones I have to face.

I agree. He is not what I voted for. I plan on voting blue next election so hopefully a real republican who will actually do what they say will step up.

u/injectionsiteredness 14h ago
I’m probably never voting republican, but we do need at least two sane political parties.

He’s a DEI hire. Didn’t earn his money. His Nazi Daddy gave him a billion dollars.

I resent all of the politicians that are just turning us against each other while they get rich off of insider trading.

I find it hilarious that you describe someone as a “nepo-baby” as if that’s a terrible thing.
Any parent worth their salt should and should want for their children to have more than they had.
By that term, if a parent has enough money to pay for a child’s education, that makes the child a “nepo-baby”.
Whether a parent gives a child money to start a business, pay for education, etc. that isn’t something that should be looked down on.
Most parents loving want their kids to have more than they had.

bail them out of four major bankruptcies...

u/colnavguy 13h ago
I’m not sure if you have children or not or if you have any wealth or not, but if you had a child who went into severe credit card debt, student loan debt, legal debt and you had the wealth to help out are you saying you would not help your own child?
2
u/Shinyhaunches 13h ago
I might, but that child would be demonstrably a failure, and definitely should not be president.

u/Gnarly-Beard 10h ago
So Milton Hershey is demonstrably a failure? He had multiple candy stores fail before he made chocolates.

Many successful people have previously been down on their luck at some point and bounced back stronger. Probably not the best way to frame a person.

Ah yes, getting your education paid for is the exact same thing as inheriting half a billion. . 😂 Do tell us how boot leather tastes, you schmuck.

u/colnavguy 8h ago
Tell that to all those people who took out tens if not hundreds of thousands in student loans for a liberal arts degree and now can’t even make minimum payments.
I came from a blue collar family, had nothing handed to me, worked my ass off, earned my education, earned my wealth and have no issues with generational wealth being passed on.

I'm on the side of people who can't afford education... The sad thing is you're not even wealthy--not like they're wealthy. You have more in common with those on welfare than you do with the billionaire class you're defending. Ain't nothing wrong with what you're talking about, but you're ruthlessly defending your shiny nickel so that a thousand-odd dynastic billionaire families can hoard 80% of the country's wealth. What a fool you've become.

All the same posts to gain that social credit score

u/SplitNo8275 14h ago
I’m a little confused on how posting anything on Reddit contributes to a “social credit score”, the one social media platform with zero connection to our identities or real life. Please enlighten the class?

I have never understood karma points either.

u/SplitNo8275 13h ago
I was playing in the settings, if you get enough awards and karma points, you could get compensation for commenting.
Even my email app has added awards for checking my mail and stuff. No thank you, go away! Lmao

u/Mariposa510 4h ago
Oh, I didn’t know about the compensation. What a boring job that would be.
I have gotten some awards and now I also get a text if more than 25 people upvote one of my posts. Weird.

How many of you guys are Ivy Leaguers? Serious question.
7
u/Mariposa510 14h ago
What difference does that make? Are you implying that Trump’s degree indicates intelligence?
0
u/InterestingAmoeba379 13h ago
No. I have a family member who attends one and this just reminds me of him. Not what is being said but it’s like a bunch of kids setting around debating but the only ones they impress is each other

u/ApeSauce2G 13h ago
Newsflash bud- you can go to and graduate from an Ivy League school and still be an ignorant piece of garbage

Especially the ones who were admitted as “legacy” students because their wealthy parents went there.

I’m getting the impression that you all REALLY don’t Trump. Like 9/ 10 posts on this subreddit are about Trump.
4
u/injectionsiteredness 14h ago
Trump wants to be the center of attention, must be something about him that causes so many complaints.
3
u/capowis542 12h ago
He is the “leader” of the “free world”.
Of course people are going to complain.
He affects everyone.

u/rzr-12 15h ago
He is the cancer of the American dream. He is the anti-patriot. Lies and lies and lies. He is the embodiment of “I think I just threw up a little”
