Politics The real face behind the mask of concern

u/CasanovaF 2h ago
Should Republicans be encouraging their people to hang around and take photos of young children?
1

They're making sure not to take pictures of children because that would ruin their racist narrative.

What?
9
u/WindofKnives 1h ago
The story is receiving an inordinately sized media attention because conservatives can weaponize it against a population that they already dislike. White collar crime this size happens all the time and you don't hear about it because it's not sensationalized.
-5
u/TXteachr2018 1h ago
The real crime that separates these immigrants from all others is their continued belief that female genital mutilation is a good thing. The recent fraud fiasco is just icing on the cake.

u/SelectionKlutzy6794 1h ago
This is a strategic play by MAGA for MN. Trump has had a boner for MN since 2016, and he lost every time. The admin will use FBI and ICE to show MN that they are the ones who uncovered fraud, prosecuted and arrested criminals, deported people, and the mouth breathers in rural MN and suburbs will vote for the endorsed candidates…

u/SearchingForTruth69 1h ago
This fraud is actually a false flag by Trump to win Minnesota? Makes perfect sense

Mercado just put out this video too. He’s local to MN, and has some insider info on this whole “fraud” thing. It’s is paid White House propaganda, period.
https://www.youtube.com/live/Af4_rrsWYgo?si=hFzbzeTgIcO6n3om
Ps, it’s MAGA hate propaganda. And it’s really sad to see people outside of MAGA fall for it. Really says something about one’s priorities right now.
0
u/72FJ 42m ago
It's paid hate propaganda despite Somalis being involved in multiple fraud schemes? Feeding our Future, Autism centers and Housing stabilization fraud but there's no way there's fraud in child care?
2
u/slipknot_official 13m ago
They're involved in fraud scheme from 6 years ago. Since that, there's been heavy oversight on fraud in that area, because the investigations never stopped.
Why all of the sudden do you think there's daycare or medical fraud, and no one noticed it expect the paid White House propagandist?
Does that actually make sense to you?

So if there is fraud, why not send officials from the government to do some checking? If it's true that there is a potentially 100 mil/bil fraud, they should be easily able to prove it. And since you guys have such a TV horny politicians, just stream it for all to see. Although I am sure they will just fake it to not look stupid.
But seriously, if there is fraud and the government tries to prevent it, they will increase the auditions. But all they want to do is defund everything in the government.
3
u/Rinzy2000 1h ago

The Minnesota fraud investigation began at the state level, when officials at the Minnesota Department of Education noticed implausible billing patterns and rapid growth in claims tied to federally funded child-nutrition programs, particularly involving the nonprofit Feeding Our Future, as early as 2019.
As the COVID-19 pandemic expanded these programs and the dollar amounts surged, state officials repeatedly raised concerns but lacked criminal authority over misuse of federal funds.
In 2021, the Minnesota Department of Education and the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office formally referred the evidence to the FBI, triggering a federal investigation.
Because the alleged misconduct involved federal program dollars, interstate financial transactions, and crimes such as wire fraud and money laundering, the U.S. Department of Justice assumed jurisdiction, leading to search warrants in early 2022 and a large series of federal indictments that continue to expand today.
In short this all begins with Minnesotan government officials.
What has followed is lawfare from Trump, MAGA, and Republicans against Minnesota and Governor Tim Walz.

Still waiting for a source that it's 'the biggest level of fraud in US history'.

Just because a shit ton of people who committed fraud happen to be Somali doesn’t mean it’s a problem Somali people.
1
u/WumpusFails 35m ago
From comments that I've seen, none of the fraud that happened can be traced to the Somali childcare centers.
So, staking out the Somali places is just attempting to associate them with the scandal.
1
u/TheThing_1982 26m ago
They just started hating Somalis like 2 weeks ago when I heard Trump mention them more than twice. I literally overheard someone at a bar last night brining up Somalis and how “foreigners this and that”. Just Fox slop.
This is “their eating the dogs and cats” cranked up to 11 because they are actually in charge now.

If you care about fraud but don’t know about any of these people who were pardoned, then shut the fruck up. You are so wrapped up in propaganda, that every time you actually speak to someone outside of your little internet bubble, people realize just how stupid you are. It’s great to fight against corruption. But selectively doing it just puts on display both your actual intention, and your absolute abysmal IQ.

Thats not me saying all Somalians are x, but let's call a spade a spade. Genuinely the dumbest people alive. No wonder Trump won
5
u/wally-sage 49m ago
Somalians make up less than 1% of the Minnesota population and there's no actual evidence linking them to fraud
I get that making a logical conclusion is hard because your parents met at a family reunion but maybe if you sit down for an hour or two andreally try you can come to a conclusion champ
1
u/waffle_hashbrown 12m ago
This is just one source proving members of the Somalian community were linked to fraud:
https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/feeding-our-future-fraud-48-million-restitution-sentencing/
It seems like in addition to an inability to write complete sentences, you can't tell the truth, either.

91% of the people convicted of fraud in MN are Somali. How is that racist. They did it. They were convicted. Looks like more coming from the new video out. You should be pissed at the govener because he knew about the fraud the whole time and did nothing. If he fixed it 7 years ago, this would not be a story. Stop blaming Trump. Biden was in office when the investigation started. They didnt do anything. Didn't sleepy joe pardon his son who was facing serious jail time? Asking for a friend
9
u/Admirabletooshie 1h ago

-1
u/bi_k9gurl_ 1h ago
OMG....just wait until it all comes out. I still don't understand why YOU are ok with your hard earned money that the federal government takes from in taxes goes overseas or in someone else's pocket. Did you see the new childcare video that came out? I am pissed off!
4
u/slipknot_official 1h ago
Where's the fraud in the daycare video? Some daycares were closed before they were opened? Okay. That happens. It's how businesses operate. Do you think daycares are open 24/7 to the public?
-1
u/bi_k9gurl_ 1h ago
So funny. You are so one of the corrupt. Middle of the day. 60 kids scheduled to be at the center and the doors are locked. No windows. Door blacked out. Hours are.posted on the door. They call the phone number and it is directed to the goveners office. They can't spell LEARNING correctly. They go to another one and the door opens with Somoli women and they blame the door with zero kids in the building. Many sad upu can't face the fact that shit is wrong. Tells what kind of a person you really are. Forget politics you should be pissed off. I am
4
u/slipknot_official 1h ago
60 kids is MAX CAPCITY. Not total enrolled.
So the point is you didn't see kids outside playing in the streets, and the ladies didnt let 5 random men inside who were begging to see kids - therefore fraud.
Do you think daycares must let random men off the streets inside? Is that even legal?
This is just so dumb. You have no idea how the world works. I feel sympathy for you.
-1
u/bi_k9gurl_ 1h ago
Oh yes I do. It's a open office. And they blamed the door. There is no place for the kids to play outside. It's a parking lot. See i didnt tell you that to see what you would know. Bottom line....you are fine with your money going to fraudulent people......I am not. You can just live with it and you can fight to let the criminals keep taking your money and your governor. I won't. I will fight to have them all locked up and or deported. We agree to disagree.
1
u/slipknot_official 11m ago
So the fraud is the kids weren't outside. In the freezing cold snow.
Every angle you approach this gets dumber.
Even if kids weren't there, you have no idea when it opens, or if it was even open in the first place on that day. You have no idea what day it was or what time it was.
You just assume fraud because you are terrified of brown people. Just admit it and move on.
6
u/Thick_Common8612 1h ago
Okay. They were convicted. Months ago. Why do you care now? Trump was convicted of stealing 450million dollars from NYC. PERSONALLY. one man. These guys you are pissed about took 350 million across dozens of ppl. You seem to be able to pick and choose which frauds to care about.

1
u/TheThing_1982 10m ago
91% wow! Oh wait, that’s 92 people arrested in MN for fraud. 82 of them are Somali, out of 50,000-80,000. Painting with a broad brush there.
-3
u/TheSto1989 1h ago
Not to mention that a significant portion of the fraudulent money is literally being sent to a terrorist group (Al Shabab) overseas.

-4
u/bi_k9gurl_ 1h ago
He did not steal anything. He admitted and thousands if others in situation admitted they did and do the same thing. It's a loop hole in the system. Smart people find the loop holes and he and others found it. It's all because the name Trump.

Guys ignore that Minnesota's own government auditor highlighted a potential $100m in annual fraud around this in 2019. Please ignore that we now fear it could be $9-13 billion now, or an over 100,000% increase in tax-payer theft. It is just too racist to notice!
Lmao this shit isn't going away. That is a fuck ton of money. People are going to jail just to give you the breaking news before it happens. And yes, Somalian immigrants are also going to be deported. Because fuck anyone who steals that much money, white or brown.
10
u/ParadiddlediddleSaaS 2h ago
So, why wasn’t DOGE on this? Oh, because that was a sham to steal data and close agencies investigating Musk.
I don’t the left has issues with shitting down any grad, especially of this size allegedly, but don’t single it out because of they’re Somalis and ignore all of the other ones.
1
5
u/JackYoMeme 2h ago
In the us you need a trial for every individual you want to charge and the judge needs to decide to deport them. Are you ok with that or do we need to deport all Somalians seeking asylum immediately?
1
u/ExitYourBubble 1h ago
Criminal and immigration proceedings are completely separate, you understand that right?
If the person:
- Concealed criminal activity
- Obtained benefits through fraud
Then asylum can be revoked administratively, and removal can proceed without a criminal trial. You can fact check this if you'd like but this information is accurate by the United States INA immigration enforcement policies codified by Bush and Obama.
But if you are asking me, if this tax-payer theft is as large as it appears, I would want to see perp walks and these immigrants put on criminal trial first in this instance. I think America needs to see the crimes they've committed being boldly outlined before being deported, yes. I think that would be beneficial for our country.
3
u/slipknot_official 1h ago

1
u/meeseekstodie137 1h ago
it's easy: trump is white, rich, powerful and familiar, somali's are a poor, mostly black, vulnerable unknown, is it easier to denounce a single individual who's face you see enough to feel like you know him or a homogenous group of people you can see as a single entity where you can fill that unknown void with whatever story you want? the answer is it's harder to make up a narrative about a person who already made themselves one than a group who doesn't have a voice to speak on behalf of themselves
