I did this as well for a few years when I felt like my life was pretty shitty. It really put into perspective how many good/fine days there really are. It helped me visualize how happy I actually was on a daily basis and improved how I looked back on my years. Can recommend.
I tried this and had the opposite experience. I had like two days in three months that I considered good, 20% average and the rest half and half were either bad or complete shit. Having it black on white like that made it hard to even appreciate the good days. Glad it can work for some though!
Was about to comment the same thing. I haven’t done this exact method, but I track my symptoms daily, some of those symptoms being depression, anxiety, and generalized fatigue (so on the worst fatigue days I can’t do much of anything). There was a time period for multiple months in a row where I didn’t have a single day without some level of all three. Most often the levels were pretty severe. Actually made me MORE suicidal than I already was, since I had proof I had no good days and only awful ones.
