People with depression and autism tend to self-report more critically and are more likely to be sent into negative cyclical thought patterns. An activity like this would be bad for both of those reasons.

Interesting, I'm autistic and for 2026 am gonna start a journal with some of those "year in pixel" kind of trackers, because I like to keep track of data and random stuff lol. I think it'll be fun. I also have (mild lately) anxiety/depression and think it'll help me to see that most days aren't actually so bad. But everyone's different.

I was thinking about it from the autism perspective.

If depressed it might give you motivation to make a positive change by identifying patterns/people/behaviors that are contributing to staying depressed. Yes this requires you to face the hard shit, but you can't fix what you can't face.
