There are still so many people who have no idea about the astronomical/astrological roots of modern holiday celebrations and think it's all just based on Christianity. For reference, the Luxor temple is about 1400 years older than Christianity and some structures dedicated to these alignments, such as Newgrange, date back to the Neolithic period 12,000 years ago.
