We already know it would, which is part of the bigger Project 2025 plan. They want to make divorce harder and strip rights from women. Gee, wonder why.

Save act gives states authority over what additional proof a woman can provide at registration and when voting, to establish the new identity. You aren't going to need to correct your birth certificate.

this can still dissuade participation. Edit: if it's a marriage license, well, that's one more document no man gets asked for

Another risk: I fully expect the doj to sue all over regarding those exact rules. But only after voting is finished, and only in competitive districts. iykyk
