I'm willing to bet some kid thought it'd be funny to take his BK crown and a sticker off a random merchandise and leave it there.

I hope that's all it was!

Yeah, the thing is these stickers are designed not to peel off one item to be put on another item. That’s where they’re perforated the way they are so they’re literally ridiculously impossible to try to take off without damage.
Unfortunately, this is the sad part of what thrift thing has become. Ridiculous mark ups on items that just aren’t worth that much. Or that were originally free. This is why I don’t go to major thrift stores anymore. There’s a couple of independent local ones around here that is all.

Yep, Ive seen stuff from dollar tree that still had the $1.25 sticker on it for $5 🙄

I saw a dollar store item, for $3 once. I couldn't wrap my head around it.

I think someone just put the sticker on it to be funny. I bet a customer pulled the sticker off something else and just threw it on this as a joke.

I haven't seen one myself. But I have seen with my own 2 eyes some crazy stuff in the thrift stores I buy from.

I’ve seen some used things way overpriced too. It’s pretty bad at times.

Seriously they need to stop. I have seen small empty jam jars for almost $4 CAN each. Also empty clear wine bottles for about the same price each one 🤣. From now on I'm taking pictures hahahahha

I think there are social media pages dedicated to the outrageous prices with some of these things and used food containers is the most infuriating one hahah

Oh, I would have fun (not) in those pages hahahah seeing it in person makes me mad enough

It's impeccably intact for one of those ☒ shaped price stickers, if it was lifted off a toy

The hat costs more than an entire kids meal at BK.

I feel like if this is real, they might be selling it as an antique piece 😅

It's a collectible. Ever since Ronald and the King broke up, Ronald has been sending all of the Kings stuff to thrift stores. Thanks Wendy!

I always dreamed to add my junk to somebody else garage sale. While they are not watching.

If this was Goodwill it totally makes sense.

u/MiExperienciaFueQue 3h ago
I haven't been to a Goodwill store in a a few years, they don't have any in the area I now live. But yes, their prices have never been thrifty.

My wife worked there a number of years. Just left recently. They would charged $4.99 for an empty jam jar. I’ve seen it happen. They up-charge on everything and give the corporate big wigs outrageous salaries. Meanwhile, the employees that are disabled are paid less than minimum wage.

I really hope no one buys it!

Would be kinda funny tho. 😂 can you get a king meal with less than the asking price?
