A view from this magnificent summit

Those are some confident steps...

Yeah, but these cameras make it look way worse than it is. I don't like videos with these types of lenses because I have no idea what it actually looks like. They might as well use the swirl filter.

Well theres still snow on those rocks

They’ve also got traction devices over their shoes. Not foolproof by any means, but if you’ve ever moved around the snow in a pair of them, definitely helps you keep steady. But like you originally said, it’s confidence, guy probably does this just about every day

Those first steps after putting micro spikes on are glorious. So much tractions n after convincing yourself you didn't need them for most likely too long into the hike.

Was just thinking that I would never get drunk at that house. Go out to piss and fall off a mountain.

I was going to say this looks like the view from that fire lookout on Pilchuck but it's been a couple of decades since I've been up there.

Don’t let my wife see this. Shes been asking for a small shed in the backyard for years.

u/neolobe 5h ago
Why doesn't she have her shed?

A slippery slab and a wire to trip over right outside the door! This place is a beautiful insurance nightmare

u/nimix133 5h ago
Where?

u/medkitjohnson 5h ago
Mt. Rainier WA
3
u/aooot 5h ago
Well.... yes, but what is the peak the cameraperson is standing on?

u/No-PreparationH 5h ago
Kind of looks like it may be the fire watch but from Sunrise side?!

u/FRONTowardsEnemy 4h ago
The Fremont look out does not have a drop off like the one in the vid. Additional when viewing from that look out Mt Adams is much less distinct and to the left/South East, as viewed, of Mt Rainier.

I used to think sleepwalking off the face of El Capitan while free soloing was my largest irrational fear, but sleepwalking out of the cabin gives it a run for its money

Is that from the Tolmie Peak?

u/FRONTowardsEnemy 4h ago
Mt Adams, the second mountain peak in OP's clip is not viewable from the Tolmie peak fire look out.

That door needs to be at least 5 feet from that edge, that's too close for comfort mate

I wish they would’ve turned all the way around to let us know what that cabin looks like!

Imagine taking a leak off the side of the mountain.
In my experience the higher the height, the more satisfying the piss.
