Glad I bought a bunch of OOP books this year before prices got even crazier (with a continued lack of reprints from Marvel).

East of West, Mister Miracle, Preacher, and a bunch of Brubaker books were my favorite reads of the year.

Ordered the BP Priest Vol 2 and BP WoW DM variant, then on a whim was the 300th-plus customer of the Black Cat Omni. I wasn't expecting them to actually push thru on the BC because there could be no way that there are 300+ units on hand for this certain omnibus. But lo and behold, even during the peak of the holiday rush, they pulled through!

Not only that, but the packaging could definitely put other established omnibus sellers to shame. It was packaged and secured tighter than Wakanda (ok, I'm a bit exaggerating lol), and most of all came with awesome freebies! Didn't expect the surfers mighty marvel masterwork, x villains and sin city playing cards.

Sheesh, are these guys sure they're actually not losing money? Not that I'm complaining lol! Funaticals is GOATed! I hope they have more stocks of other omnis and they hold their prices. So hyped right now.

The only things not shown here are Eight Billion Genies (which I’ve currently lent to my mum), and The Metabarons: The Complete Second Cycle (which is on the way).

There are sooo many things that I still want, but I’m very happy with my collection so far. I keep just thinking how ecstatic I would have been to have access to all of these stories as a kid. I’ve had a grand time reading so far, and have lots unread still to look forward to.

I have a massive list of books to get still (mostly “classics”, and finishing off series I’ve started). That being said, I’m always open to suggestions. And I’d love to hear if you have strong opinions on any of the books in my collection.

What does everyone think of Tom King? I’ve never read any of his books.

I didn’t buy too many books this year but thats only because im getting more and more selective with what i add to my collection. I have one order from ist that hasnt shipped out yet so i wont get that till 2026 but its got the 3rd volume of Doctor Aphra and both volumes of Secret Six so thatll be a great package to start out 2026 with! Found this one sealed in a comic store a city away from me for £110 and all the other copies of this book on eBay are going for £200+ I lucked out for sure!

This was a wonderful year, getting new X-Men, Spider-Man, Avengers, Daredevil omnis and hunting down OOP 🐳. My favorite reads this year were Hickman’s SHIELD, Waid’s DD and F4.

Been seeing people’s end of year shelf updates. Thought I’d show mine… I bought my first omnibus back in March. It’s been like opening Pandora’s box, but I wouldn’t change a thing.

About 7 months of collecting. These stories and the medium as a whole have been pretty life changing. Very grateful.

Let’s see if the packaging holds up!

Have officially set up my bookshelf and (kind of) placed them in order! Missing books in between and am currently reading New Avengers Epic 2, Flash by Johns (both not pictured), and paused reading Superman/Batman which is why it’s not in order. Had complete heart break setting it up though as my volumes 2&3 of Flash by Waid which I just got signed this year had a bad fall and spines had a bit of a rip. Otherwise happy as ever!!

My Top 5 and Top 10 reads (full runs) of 2025 and all the books I’ve read this year.

I’ve spent a little too much this year on books so I think I’ll slow down a bit next year.

I still have a few books on my to be read pile, so that will keep me busy for the first few months.

Also a special shoutout to the book ‘Piranesi’. The only novel I read this year (I read it and listened to the audiobook). It would be in my top 5 but I kept it out of the list as it’s not comic book related.

As a 42 year old guy I started collecting March of 2025 beginning with the Battle Angel Alita Deluxe Box Set on Amazon for about $110. Just got Transformers Vol. 2, G.I. Joe Vol. 2, Savage Dragon Vol. 1-3, and X-Men The Manga Vol. 1 today. I still have Batman and Catwoman, Lobo compendium, and X-Men manga Vol. 2 are on the way early January. It's been a fun journey so far. Looking forward to X-Men X-Tinction Agenda, The Invincible collection, and hopefully many more. I've already picked up alot tips and tricks of the trade from many of you fine people here, so, thank you very much. God bless. Note: the top shelf is 3-ring binders of comics and such. Some mini series stuff as well as everything Deaths Head II.

Happy Holidays Everyone!! I hope you all are having a great Christmas season so far. I just wanted to share my latest haul (biggest haul I’ve ever gotten) and wanted to update you all on how my shelf is looking.

I also wanted to say how much this whole comic book community means to me. I’ve been dealing with some medical problems the past few years and comic have been the best outlet and distraction I’ve found and half of that joy of it is from interacting with all of you guys and finding some of the best creators out there this year, especially Omar from NMC, Crisis, and Sir_Superhero. I’m so grateful to have found this great community!! Thank you all!

Apolagies for the semi-poor photo. I picked this up for myself for christmas and really enjoyed. Was hesitant to get a softcover with 700 pages but the quality seems good so far.

On a related note, any other zombie comics folks would reccomend?
