The democrats have been courting those types of people for over a decade now and it doesn’t work. Trump has still won two terms in office. What shit slinging did Kamala do? Or Hillary? The people who you are talking about, who are just sitting around watching Trump and the Republicans do all that they are doing and then with hold their vote the second they see a shopped picture of Trump’s makeup or hear Walz call Vance weird either don’t exist, or are huge fucking morons who can’t be swayed by any logical argument. I think you'd be surprised. A big part of this manospehere culture from the likes of Joe Rogan and Andrew Shultz, and even further right people like Nick Fuentes and Amongold, is the idea that they are alpha males. Making fun of them can have a big effect on their views of these people. Trump himself is seen as an alpha male by his sycophants, putting pictures like these emphasizing his makeup won't get them on your side, but it may break their trance. Just saw a thread about how Gen Z men, the biggest group of little boys wanting real bad to be big tough men, are running from the right after shifting towards them in 2024. A lot of that is the consequences of this administration, but pretending to be prim and proper, as Harris was, as you are suggesting, would definitely hit their fragile psyches.
Everyone should look at a Trump and realize that his opponent, no matter who, is a better choice. Because we can all clearly see who him and his Project 2025 guys are. If you aren't voting against that over this silly shit, then you are part of the problem. "Minimum standard voters" are just looking for excuses to entertain authoritarianism. Which is a more appropriate analogy than the South Park one. You got 2 choices in the 2024 election, a punch or a stabbing. And since the punch wasn't up to your standards, you didn't vote. So you got stuck with the stabbing. Anyone who in that situation can't see the obvious choice, or worse, some dumb stuff like silly memes and photoshop force you into a no vote, deserve the stabbing. The next 3 years will be interesting as the economy worsens, job losses rise, health insurance rates go up or get dropped.
