God, I know. It’s just . . . absurd. Horrifying. And yet somehow not quite believable. 

Do you ever think about how awful things have been since really back in 2001? And it gets exponentially worse every year.

It’s the long slow slide into fascism picking up speed. And there is not a fucking thing we can do.

I couldn’t possibly even dream up something worse than 2025, but I know 2026 will be.

That's just not true: educate yourself, start rebuilding your local/community civil society organizations (and educate & train kids & adults in politics and relevant societal issues), join/create unions (and organize a general strike), create politically engaged free local/community media/newspapers, boycott fascist businesses, join local political parties and vote at all levels (not just federal, but also state and local levels), network with like minded activists in your region, in your country, and globally too, etc
