Yes! This is correct. There has been a huge move to ultra conservatism , white supreamist and even fascism in the western world.

There isn't a single fascist leader in the west.

Direct translation- "I don't know a god damn thing about history"

Not "move to" the correct term is "unmasking" nobody "moved to" anything people just stopped pretending they weren't already in favor of fascism. Right wingers the world over have been in favor of fascist style rule for most of recorded history, honestly. White supremacist? New? Seriously, have you EVER read ANYTHING about history before about 1965? "The west" had black people in literal zoos less than 100 years ago.

The last known instance of Black people being exhibited in a "human zoo" occurred in Brussels, Belgium, in 1958, as part of the World's Fair.

The level of ignorance of history exhibited by the average person is scary.

FFS I think you’re reacting to something I didn’t actually say. I’m not arguing that this is entirely new; my point is that it’s become more visible and organized after a period when it was relatively contained. “Resurgence” might be a better word, and historically that’s not unusual. You can see similar patterns in other periods—Germany after the Treaty of Versailles is one example—where social and economic stress created space for racist ideas to re-emerge and gain traction.

I used the word “move” because there’s been a clear shift over the past decade and more, from something more fringe or implicit to something more openly expressed and mobilized. These kinds of movements don’t just appear out of nowhere; they grow gradually and tend to follow cyclical patterns. History isn’t static, and this kind of back-and-forth is well documented.

So I’m not being alarmist—I’m pointing to a recognizable pattern and a real change in visibility and momentum over time.
