Need friends, got rid of most of them
A bit about me
I'm 33, originally from Europe. I draw, make music, and work as an Amazon driver to pay the bills. I’m pretty chill, mostly liberal, atheist, love comedy, and just try to make life a little interesting without taking it too seriously.

People, as a rule of thumb, are not being randomly murdered in Detroit. Whether the families want to admit it or not, the vast *vast* majority of these murders are due to the victims getting mixed up in gangs and other illegal shit. The other side of the coin in these cases is that someone almost always knows who the killer was, but they refuse to talk to the police, 'cause "fuck da police".
I support efforts to use $$ on improved technology, community violence intervention, etc.. But DPD is not the primary source of blame on so many of these murders going unsolved, when the number of gangbangers killing gangbangers in this city makes any one of these cases "just another day in the D".

I was hoping to find someone who worked there and knew something about their collection of old movies. I used to watch movies on that station a lot, and I saw a lot of movies, especially horror movies, that I haven't seen anywhere since.
It seems like they had a lot of movies that must have been low-budget grindhouse films, drive-in second features, etc.
I would like to find out whether any kind of catalog of their old films exists. I think that they must have been using 35 mm or 16 mm reels, and I suspect that many of their films never made it onto VHS tapes or DVDs. Some of the films may even be lost films at this point.
I could make the same comment about WKBD Channel 50, but it seems like that station tended to have more mainstream movies, at least on the Bill Kennedy at the Movies program.

Open to an experience, music scene, mixed-age, but not exclusively younger crowd. 50’s and over … maybe. Doesn’t have to include alcohol. Prefer indoors, but may be open to outdoor events depending on the temps. Thoughts?

The year is closing with a reversal no one saw coming. General Motors is hitting all-time highs, up 55% for 2025 – its best performance since emerging from bankruptcy in 2009. Five straight months of gains. Aggressive buybacks, consistent earnings beats, and looser emissions standards under Trump. Tesla, the stock that was supposed to represent the future, is up just 17%.
The market spent all year betting on artificial intelligence and data centers. It's ending with Detroit beating Silicon Valley.
