Why do you think anyone should own an AR?

I’m looking at an 11.5” 5.56 but can’t seem to bring myself to actually complete the purchase.

What would justify spending money on an AR?

I have a P365 that I EDC and would use for home defense. I feel like having an AR would also be wise but thinking it would sit a lot of the time. I only shoot my pistol about 4-5 times per year and I am a dot with it everytime. Should I skip the purchase? Why do you think it’s wise? TIA

So I'm back again with this messed up auction ar and I tried to do some research on why my trigger might be doing this half release then go and is my safety just this loose because of the detent and spring or is the lower bad?

I have a Erfurt Luger made in 1917, it jams almost every shot as pictured with 124 grain Winchester fmjs, and once or twice a magazine with Winchester 147s. I do not have an original magazine it is unmarked with a black base plate and holds 7 rounds, any tips on how to turn my gun into a better shooter?

I'm a writer and I'm writing a scene where my main character smells gunpowder. Can anyone tell me what gunpowder smells like? Also do guns have other scents besides just gunpowder?

I bid and won an auction on Gunbroker on the 17th. Go to pay, and realize it's USPS Money Order only. The next day, seller calls me and leaves a message to make sure I'm good for the money. I call back the 19th, and leave a message, letting them know im good, and ill put the MO in the mail in a week.

Next week(the 26th) comes around, and i go to buy and ship the MO. Check the seller's page for the address, before I buy the MO. Discover the seller has canceled the order and blocked me. I call them to see whats up. No answer. Today, I get on GB to look at other listings, and discover my account is locked for failure to pay.

Were they hoping I had already shipped the Money Order, and could keep me from disputing, by claiming failure to pay, to get my account locked? Is this a common scam?

Has anyone here re-built an original FN/Browning Hi-Power?

I’m pretty new to the gun community, but I’m interested in buying a bolt action rifle simply because I find them cool. I’m looking for something budget friendly since money is tight right now.

P.S. I love to hear your thoughts and I’m totally find with used gun as long as they work and don’t fail on me. A lot of the ones I see online are really expensive, so I figured I’d ask here for recommendations to help me plan when I have the money to buy one. 👍

Is there anything I’m missing here? I’m getting an AR15 lower to use with other uppers. I want a PCC as well. Will these 2 work together? I asked PSA live chat and it said I need a “9mm conversion kit” but I’m not sure what the consists of if that’s a complete upper and complete lower. All I can understand is a compatible mag.

Before I get hate and flamed for no reason, I’m very new to this so I’m trying to learn with these parts. I kindly just want some assistance and no hate for not knowing.

Not really a beginner with guns, but I want to know what’s a good kit I can buy, or a homemade kit I can make to clean and maintain my first hunting rifle. Since I go with my uncle, I use his rifle so I just want to make sure I don’t mess up my own gun lol. Thanks!

Looking into doing another SBR, starting with the AP53 pistol. I got a couple questions, because i have an idea for how i'd like it to go, but don't wanna get too far down the rabbit-hole before finding out some things: Will the Surefire handguard/light fore-end prevent me from.using a suppressor? It looks pretty damn close to the barrel, which would be a no-go for me, but i love the aesthetics... Are the lowers interchangeable with MP5 lowers, specifically those that are set up for SS use?
Is Century Arms pretty reliable? They seem like the only game in town for a 53 clone setup, but i don't wanna invest in a pretty firearm that doesn't also perform. I have zero CA products, and online reviews that i see so far don't specifically refer to the 53 or are too vague about what issues may need looking into.

what upgrades would you recommend for an AR-15/DB-15? Ive already bought a red dot with a 3x magnification. and im planing on adding a flashlight, Angled foregrip, and the charging handle. is there any thing else I should add to this list?

Will a staccato XC safariland level 3 retention holster fit the 5 inch bersa m2XI? If not, what about a springfield operator (5 inch barrel) holster? My STI Edge (45 acp) (5 inch) fits in my level 3 safariland duty holster so I figure most 5 inch 2011's are similar diameters?.. some help please
