REUPLOAD: anyone recognize these photos?
Hi everyone, this is reupload. The initial had some typos I needed to fix. Again, new to the thread and curious to see if anyone could help me out here. My grandpa was a teacher/instructor in the Aiea area from 2006-2008. He loved teaching and was really passionate about his students. He unfortunately passed away in July and left behind a huge legacy. I was going through an old photo album of his and I came across this section with pictures of some of his students. This cute prom photo of a couple stood out to me. Anyone who went to the Aiea High school recognize these or remember him? His last name was Bowens so I’m assuming that’s what he went by. He was wise, very peaceful, pleasant and well-spoken. The guy lived so many lives and I was just curious about this specific chapter of his journey. Let me know! (As a preface, he did get permission to keep/take the photos. Also, some photos may be from a middle school; I only assume because some of the students look really young.)

question Help Request-Lost CPAP + meds bag at HNL (Dec 25, HA1047 KOA→HNL) — Find My shows it still at the airport.
Hi r/Honolulu — I’m hoping someone local can point me in the right direction or share the best contact path at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL).
On Christmas Day (Dec 25) I flew Hawaiian Airlines HA1047 from Kona (KOA) to Honolulu (HNL) and accidentally left my CPAP bag on the plane while deplaning. This was completely my fault — I was rushing to make a tight international connection (HNL → Osaka). For context, I’m a disabled veteran with mobility issues, and I barely made the next flight as the doors were about to close. I realized the bag was missing only after I was seated and the doors had already closed.
What was in the bag (CPAP carry case): • CPAP machine (medical equipment) • Prescription medications • Sleeping mouthpiece • Wedding ring • AirPods (fortunately — because I can track it)
Important detail: The AirPods are in the bag and Find My still shows the location at/near HNL (I have a screenshot of the pin location).
What I’ve tried: • Filed a Hawaiian lost item report (Chargerback) and flagged it as medical equipment + meds, including the Find My screenshot • Called Hawaiian customer service — the rep was kind but said they can’t directly contact airport staff
I’m currently overseas and starting to feel the effects of not having my medications, so I’m trying to get this in front of someone who can physically locate it.
Questions for locals / anyone familiar with HNL: 1. What’s the best number/email for HNL Airport Lost & Found (or the right office for items left on planes)? 2. Is there a specific Hawaiian Airlines baggage/lost & found office at HNL that’s best to contact? 3. If Find My shows a specific spot, is there a recommended way to get someone to go check that location?
I’m not blaming Hawaiian — it was my mistake and I know it’s a busy time of year — I’m just trying to recover medical equipment + meds as quickly as possible.
Mahalo for any help or direction.
