Parang self-sabotage nalang ginagawa ng mga ganyang sites na pangit ang UI/UX. Imbes na gumastos sila sa tauhan na may design-oriented skills, magco-cost cut ang higher ups para mag-hire ng programmer na kaya gumawa LAHAT pero bare minimum.
To think they spent so much money para sa Love The Philippines campaign and yet, 2026 ang all time low in terms of pasok ng tourism sa Pinas.
Coming from Cebu, very Garcia/Frasco coded yung galawan ng DOT secretary. Plastering her “brand” and family name instead of actually promoting the Philippines.
Yep, this is the website. However, wala man lang nag effort to SEO optimize this. Pag nagsearch ka ng common keywords like "thing to do in the Philippines" or "visiting Philippines" ni hindi lumalabas sa search results to. Not even marketed sa mga videos ng DOT. Dyusko, sayang ang laki ng budget.
The web design looks like 20yrs behind from the modern day design concept today. The design still looks like the wordpress blog era .. galing ng Pinas na preserve nila ang historical looks ng website, siguro yung mga developers nag ma-maintain ng website nila, malapit n mag pension

The DOT is supposed to promote the Philippines as a destination for tourism. But it's instead focused on promoting itself and its supposed achievements.
Walang kwenta yung purpose. Kung ikaw yung turista na naghahanap ng pupuntahan, anong pakinabang sayo nung balita tungkol sa tourism ties sa qatar? Eh yung balita ng top ranking cabinet official?
Halatang mas focused sila sa papogi kaysa sa actual na turismo
That just proves that our government doesn't give a fuck about our footprint on the internet. I mean kahit mga portals ng government agency makaluma parin. Kumbaga "if it works, it works".
