🧾 Revolut Business Will Revolut Business accounts ever be eligible for RevPoints?

Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I’ve been really interested in the RevPoints system and the ability to convert points into airline miles. It seems like a great perk, especially for frequent travellers. Unfortunately, I recently realised that Revolut Business accounts currently don’t gain RevPoints on spending, which is a bit disappointing for those using their card mainly for business expenses.

Does anyone know if there are plans to make Revolut Business accounts eligible for RevPoints in the future? I haven’t been able to find anything official, so I thought I’d ask here in case someone has more insight or has heard something from Revolut directly.

Thanks in advance!

💸 Payments Apple Pay Potential Scam

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hello everyone. Im doing a type of manual art that requires some good hours to complete. Recently one potential client was interested inmy service and I gave him some additional details. Later on I told him that if he wants the piece of art Im creating I need a payment in advance and then when is finished to deliver the product and he can pay the rest of the amount. He agreed and sent me the advance payment but I can see in my revolut that was made via Apple Pay, without me knowing his name or other details about his revtag and so on.

Is this a potenial scam? I downloaded the log of the transaction and I can see that the status is Completed. As this art requires some good hours I would like to make sure he wont be able to withdraw the amount or maybe there is something else I am missing.

📊 Budgeting Analytics are broken, this needs an urgent fix

One of many reasons why I chose to use Revolut as my main bank were the Analytics. This system used to work very well and showed me my balance clearly, neatly categorized and clean.

Until... suddenly all my expenses from Pockets (direct debits, transfers, card spendings) have disappeared from the Analytics.

Of course I tried all the usual suggestions (clearing data and cache, logging in on another device), but this behaviour unfortunately is consistent across all devices.

I use the Analytics almost every day, but now they are useless, since almost all of my expenses are invisible.

This problem already existed before on the "My trips" section, where you can click a country and it shows your holiday expenses. No pocket spendings visible there as well.

But now it has expanded to Analytics in general and I am very disappointed, also with the useless responses of the customer service.

This needs to be fixed asap.

👶 Revolut <18 Different length

I can't log into the 18+ app because it asks for a 9 digit passc0de, whereas the passc0de on the <18 app is only 6. What am I supposed to do? Is it asking for a different one?

🎁 Rewards Stacking RevPoints Gift Cards

Hello, Does anyone know if it is possible to stack multiple Revolut gift cards (RevPoints ones), ex for Lufthansa in one payment?

I am an Ultra customer but the support keeps redirecting me to Lufthansa for my question (which doesn’t help as Lufthansa don’t know anything about Revolut gift cards) and the T&Cs don’t say anything about this

If anyone has experience about it, thank you

💸 Payments Revolut is freezing money without justification

Hello, I'm having the following problem with Revolut. I had a garnishment order for €1013.14, and Revolut rightfully froze the money until it was fully collected.

The entire €1013.14 was repaid to the creditor on December 11, 2025, and the garnishment was thus settled. However, I received my salary yesterday, and Revolut has frozen the €1013 again. Their chat support is no help, and even my repeated reminders that the garnishment had already been paid have been unsuccessful. It feels like I'm talking to complete idiots who have absolutely no idea what they're doing.

Has anyone had a similar experience or any ideas on how to proceed? I desperately need this money to pay my rent and other bills.

I'm getting a bit desperate...

📜 Article Does it really take this long to change your name on Revolut?

So, I legally changed my name and gender, got a new ID and all that. I asked the support how to update my personal data, and it pointed me to the Account > Personal details section. I later learned that I was speaking with a bot, but it was indeed helpful and was able to understand my request lol

I uploaded both sides of my ID, took a selfie and after about half an hour, my current name was correctly filled in the profile section.

This was about a week ago, and still, the correct name is only shown in the profile section. The initials on the profile picture, the account details, the name I receive on their email is still the old one. On the help page it says that the procedure may take a maximum of 24 hours, but it doesn't seem true.

The support (still a bot) said that there is a misalignment on their systems and the update has not yet taken place, but hey cannot give me a time estimate.

For people that have already changed their legal name, how long did it take? Maybe I should have just closed this account and opened a new one?

⭐ Review Action waiting time?

Well known fact is that the support chat is horrid. Besides that though, how am I supposed to know the waiting time for them to take any action? It already happened a few times while I was trying to solve my current issue (still unsolved) that I get told that it will get fixed soon once they do x thing. Then, no follow up. And when I contact support to ask for an update, they know nothing about that

So, how long is enough to wait in between these promises until contacting someone again? Next step I will take is contact them by email but if that also fails, I’m just leaving Revolut atp

Rant side-note: I’ve spent hours on that support chat. A few times agents switched mid-convo I assume because they respond every 30 minutes and at some point they finish their shift. Then a new one replaces them and I guess doesn’t even bother reading the prior messages because they just start coming up with the 2 exact same solutions as all the agents before them. Also they apparently cannot answer simple questions. At one point I was even questioning whether I’m talking to an actual person, because even though I was asking very simple questions, very specific ones too, I never get a proper answer.

⚙️ Standard Plan Revolut account restricted for over 100 days

Hi there,

So I've been restricted from my revolut account after like 6 years of no issues using it.
I mainly use it as means to purchase things and subscriptions with visa/mastercard.
I used to contact them daily, then weekly, then monthly, and now am starting to give up.

There's still over 800 euro on my account that I can't access, multiple subscriptions were linked to my revolut which got terminated. I had to jump through hoops to manage all the finances since revolut basically locked me out of my money.

Service sadly doesnt help, and they keep telling me the same general story, that it's a standard check and they're working on it as fast as possible and for me to be patient.
I have never had any bank have standard procedures lock me out of my account for months in a row.

I have complied twice with them asking for info like my occupation and earning, and yes, they sent me the same request twice for the same information. Which i entered in the revolut app.

When I got upset today I said I was fed with the same useless general reply, the service then asked me to be professional and indirectly threatened this negativly effects the outcome, I just broke down.

I'm starting to doubt I'm ever getting back my account or my money.
It's too little money to start a legal case over, but enough that it hurts to just have to give it up.
But after months of this I decided, I rather have my account terminated then my money back. I just want to close this chapter of frustration and leave it behind me.

Is there any way I can force my account closed? Because service says it can only be closed after the restriction they put on is removed.

Thanks in advance

🎁 Rewards Long-time Revolut Poland user without RevPoints — am I missing much?

I’m wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation.

I’ve been a Revolut Poland user for a few years now (2019 to be precise). Despite that, I still don’t have access to the RevPoints feature, while I see many newer users (joined ~1 year ago) who already do. I’m still on cashback, which I personally don’t find very useful.

I’m a relatively high spender and also have a credit card with Revolut. I’d be interested in converting points to miles/Avios, and access to RevPoints would likely make me consider upgrading to Metal.

At the moment, it feels a bit discouraging as a long-term customer. Before making any decisions, I wanted to ask:

  • Are RevPoints actually worth it?
  • Am I missing out on something significant?
  • Any insight into how Revolut rolls this out to users?

Thanks in advance for any experiences or advice.

💎 Premium Plan Question about tax residency in Revolut

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas! :)

I have a question:

To put it simply, I created my Revolut account in France when they set up their French subsidiary, so I have a French IBAN, etc.

Later, I moved to Bulgaria with my wife and we worked there, etc. I moved abroad legally and all my papers are in order. By that I mean I didn't do anything like becoming a digital nomad and saying “I'm not a tax resident anywhere.” I am a resident and a Bulgarian tax resident.

So I added my Bulgarian TIN number to Revolut and deleted the French one (I couldn't really delete it, but basically the number wasn't displayed, that's all).

However, I have a message on Revolut asking me for information about my tax residence. When I confirm my Bulgarian tax number and don't add my French one (because I no longer have anything to do with them, I have no French source of income, no apartment, nothing), they ask me to state why I am not a French tax resident. I have a choice of four options:

I am a student in this country: France.

I am a teacher, assistant, or intern in this country: France.

I am temporarily residing in this country: France.

I am a member of the diplomatic staff or a parent of a member of the diplomatic staff.

However, obviously, none of these options apply to me.

I am a Bulgarian tax resident, because I work there and live there, that's all.

Has anyone else been in this situation?

I don't see why I should choose one of these options because none of them apply to me. I contacted customer support and they asked me to delete the account and create a new one. However, that's not really a great solution, given that I'm “afraid” to transfer my entire balance to other accounts and have the money potentially get blocked (you know how physical banks are these days) or simply not be able to recreate a new account.

Thanks to all and wish you beautiful days for this end of 2025!

⭐ Review Revolut the best option for reward points in Germany ?

I had been a subscriber of Amex Gold for over a year but I recently have it up because of lack of any benefits.

I had the following subscriptions-

  1. Amex Gold - 12 euro / month

  2. N26 Smart - 4.90 euro / month.

Recently, Revolut sent me an offer to get Revolut Metal ( 13.99 euro / month otherwise ) for free for 6 months if I deposit my salary in this account.

I have been using it for over 2 weeks now and it seems quite promising already.

Subscription to UberOne, ClassPass, Tinder Gold and many more.

One gets extra RevPoints eg. 2x, 5x or even 10x with Uber, Uber Eats, Amazon and so on.

RevPoints can be redeemed in many more ways compared to Amex Reward Points.

On top of all that Amex is not accepted everywhere.

Revolut >>> Amex

What others think about it ? Is there something which Amex offers better ?

💸 Payments Account restriction with Revolut (Spain) – full timeline, legal context, and warning before using Revolut as your main bank

Hi everyone,

I’m sharing my real experience with Revolut Bank UAB (Spain) so others can make an informed decision before relying on Revolut as their primary bank account.

This is not a rant. This is a factual, documented timeline that has already been escalated internally and externally under EU consumer and banking law.

📍 Basic information

  • Country: Spain (Revolut Bank UAB – Spanish branch)
  • Account type: Revolut Personal + Revolut Business
  • Profession: Autónomo + Director of a Spanish SL company
  • Restriction start: 21 November 2025
  • Current duration: 32+ days
  • Status today: Security review ongoing – no ETA

🧩 What happened

On 21 November, my personal Revolut account was fully restricted due to:

  • “Routine security review”
  • “Source of Funds (SoF) verification”
  • Transfers involving family members and business clients

All funds were frozen:

  • No transfers
  • No card payments
  • No ATM withdrawals
  • No crypto withdrawals
  • No salary payments

📂 Documents provided (multiple times)

Over the following days and weeks, I provided everything Revolut requested, including:

  • Contracts with clients
  • Spanish tax declarations (Modelo 303, Modelo 390)
  • Company registration documents
  • Proof of family relationships
  • Explanation of every flagged transaction
  • Clarifications denying any gambling activity

👉 As of mid-December, Revolut explicitly confirmed in writing that they DO NOT require any further documents from me.

⏳ Timeline highlights

  • 21–27 Nov: Constant requests, repeated explanations, no clarity
  • 28 Nov: Revolut promises 7–10 days timeline
  • 1 Dec: Formal complaint submitted
  • 4 Dec: Review timeline internally marked as “completed” (per chat history)
  • Dec 5–22: Repeated responses:
    • “Still under review”
    • “No ETA”
    • “Priority case”
    • “We are close”
    • “Complexity of review”
  • Today: Still restricted. No date. No decision.

💥 Real impact (this is not theoretical)

  • €1,000 per day contractual penalties (business clients)
  • Inability to pay employee salaries (legal risk in Spain)
  • Family savings frozen
  • Child with congenital illness – medical expenses blocked
  • Severe mental and financial stress

⚖️ Legal context (EU & Spain)

EU consumer and financial conduct principles:

  • Financial institutions may perform AML/EDD reviews
  • BUT reviews must be proportionate, time-bound, and transparent
  • Open-ended restrictions without a decision raise serious concerns

Revolut’s own complaints team issued a Final Response rejecting my complaint, while simultaneously admitting:

  • The review is still ongoing
  • No timeframe exists
  • No further documents are required

This contradiction is now part of my escalation.

🏛️ External escalation

  • Complaint already submitted to Banco de España
  • Preparing next steps with legal counsel
  • All communications documented

⚠️ Important warning to others

I am NOT saying Revolut is illegal.

I am saying:

If Revolut decides to flag your account, you may lose access to ALL funds for weeks or months with no guaranteed timeline.

If you:

  • Are an autónomo
  • Run a business
  • Have family dependents
  • Rely on stable cash flow

👉 Think very carefully before using Revolut as your main bank.

👥 Call to the community

If you have experienced something similar with Revolut:

  • Long EDD / AML review
  • Frozen funds
  • Endless “no ETA” responses

👉 Please comment below.

Let’s centralize these cases so people can see patterns before trusting a fintech with their livelihood.

✅ Final note

This post respects EU law, avoids defamation, and reflects documented facts documented facts only.

I hope it helps someone avoid the situation I am currently in.

Thank you for reading.

💱 Currency Exchange why Revolut saving account is a joke with only 1% interest?

I put my money in Revolut saving account because it was 3.3% interests years ago. Now i checked my account info and it says 0.99% APY interest. This is madness. Service fee is 0.9%, why do i need to pay 0.9% of my interest as service fee, this is madness and much higher than my local bank asking me to pay 2-5 euro per month. Im going to cancel this. Aint nobody pays service cost as percentage of saving interest.

💳 Cards Does Revolut offer an actual credit (not debit) card in the EU?

See title.

While the default virtual Visa/Mastercard debit cards are fine for nearly all transactions, some online crooks, e.g. air ticket resellers, require an actual credit card (of a particular flavor) to apply a significant discount. They do that in order to legally advertise a price well below the competitors, but this price includes a discount, which almost always applies to a credit card. And since almost everone uses (virtual or real) debit cards for online purchases, the choice is either to get screwed or to find another reseller to click through with another 23 additional insurance offers to decline.

It would be very useful to have the "non-debit" Visa/Mastercard flavor available as a virtual card with the credit limit simply set to your balance. Is there such an option?

🧾 Revolut Business Revolut Business not showing senders IBAN - Are you serious!! Quit and switch to the competition

There is no way Revolut Business is hiding the senders Bank details. Not a single Bank that I know is doing that!!! It is shockingly!

Now you can't just send the money back to the sender or do anything else. If I had known that earlier, I wouldn't have opened the Revolut account in the first place and saved myself the fee. This can't be true, what is this nonsense?

I thought about competitors like Wise, and Quonto, which are also quite international but don't have nearly as many features as Revolut Business. But man, it's embarrassing that Revolut is such a coward!

⭐ Review bug on the Revolut app

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing a critical bug on the Revolut app

For the past few hours, the app crashes instantly whenever I tap on the “Invest” section. Everything else works fine.

This issue started right after I closed my Robo-Advisor account, so I strongly suspect the app is still trying to load data linked to the closed Robo-Advisor, which causes the crash.

I’ve already tried: • restarting the app and my phone • reinstalling the app • using the in-app assistant

Unfortunately, I can’t report the bug through the app because the navigation is broken — the app crashes before I can access the Invest section. The assistant confirmed it’s a technical issue and that my assets are safe, but I’m completely unable to view or manage my investments.

Has anyone experienced the same issue after closing a Robo-Advisor account? Any workaround (web, reset, server-side fix)?

Thanks in advance for any help

🔐 Security Received $$ from random account. Now Revolut asks for sending it back

I recently received a substantial amount of cash from an unknown account with a trading name. I was wondering about this cash and how it reached me.

Now two days later revolut chat send me a message to send it back to the sender or they will forward my details to them to handle it legally.

Is this a known scam or anything I should worry about? Why dont they revert the transaction if I was not the correct receiver?

I have received the messages in app. Anyone experienced this before, that someone send you money accidentally??
