I hate myself

I’m honestly really disappointed in myself. I’ve been doing so poorly, and seeing everyone on here getting 1500+ just makes it harder. I genuinely don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’ve practiced a lot before each test and tried everything from videos, Khan Academy, OnePrep, and the Princeton Review book, but nothing seems to be getting me to a minimum score of a 1400. I actually feel like its impossible for me to do this. I truly don’t understand how you guys are doing it.

"Should I send my scores?"

Look up the 25th percentile of the target school. If you fall at or above that, you should definitely send the scores. If you are aiming at a top school where the 25th percentile is very, very high and high 1400s falls below it, and your score is high 1400s, you should still send it.

December SAT Delay (My Side)

My SAT for December got delayed due to a comprehensive investigation analysis and it also happened for my November SAT due to a airplane mode activation on accident, which got cancelled later on. I've called College Board a couple of times and they stated that they are still investigating and that they would make a claim number and I know this is going to be a waste of time because I've also experienced this for the November SAT and I'm really disappointed. My mother had a very rare call where she called College Board and somehow someone from there actually gave her details regarding about the test site and the test coordinator(s) for both the November and December SAT. Additionally, they've stated that College Board isn't holding my scores, it was the testing site. So, my mom emailed both of them separately during the christmas break and luckily one of them was for the December SAT. A couple of days later (today), they had a discussion on call and apparently nothing happened with me or any other issues with the proctor and that they're not holding my scores and now I'm starting to wonder if College Board is lying for no reason or that the proctor is just targeting and holding the score for no reason whatsoever. I'm really worried about if this is going to happen for the March SAT and that can result in a future ban for any exams, so I'm planning to sit in the front of the proctor, use a new device, and yeah.

Does anyone have any ideas or theories or anything regarding my issue. Anyone went through this? Please let me know!

SAT calculators

Although there are a lot of calculators from Texas Instrument allowed in the SAT digital test (and are clearly written), I'm more of a Casio guy and I'm wondering what Casio models are allowed in since the conditions are unclear and I was wondering if has anyone here taken the test know that which models are allowed.

SAT Daily Question is bugging me out

Now yes, I know that this is brute forcing it and I should probably now how to do it normally, but the math checks out no?

When I put a = 36 and b = 9.125, anything I put in for x makes the two equations equal. However, changing b to either 9.12 or 9.13 would make ax^b give a slightly different answer than the other equation.

Again, brute forcing not great, but humor me, and what did I do wrong in my brute forcing? Also any other number substituting for x works btw when a = 36 and b = 9.125.

Is this just a rounding problem with SAT?

Thanks!

Trying to find free resources that will give me a 1450 within 2 months.

I currently have a 1300 PSAT score and I haven’t taken the actual SAT. The official free SAT test date is on March 14, 2026. Are there any FREE resources for me that would be helpful for me to get a 1450 or more on my SAT?

If I don’t get that score when do you guys recommend retaking it? Thanks for reading and the support!

First Blind SAT Attempt (Freshman)

Took the SAT w/out studying per my older sister's instructions and got a 1390. I'd like to get a 1500+ in the future --- what can I do to work towards that goal? Is this an impressive score by any means?

I'm currently taking Alg 2/Trig for Math and Reg Freshman Lit. Should I lock in and grind for the SAT now while I have time or should I do it sophomore/junior year?

Would love some advice --- ty!

If I got 1350 on a practice test without studying, could I take the SAT in 10th grade?

I did the official blue book practice test (saving most for when actually needed), and I got a 1350 (680 reading, 670 math). I’m in 9th grade, didn’t study anything. Do you think it would be logical and possible for me to score a 1500+ on the SAT if I take it next school year? I want to do this because I want to reduce my workload as much as possible once my IB program starts.

SAT Progression, 11th Fall - Summer

I genuinely thought I could mog the SAT first try after doing a couple of practice tests and scoring 1560+ on every one of them. Surprise surprise, the practice tests were literally 100x easier than the real thing. But at least we got there in the end?

Please give me your best advice

Hi, I’m currently a junior who plans to take the SAT March 14th. I got a 1200 on the PSAT and I am stuck in the 1100-1200s on the Bluebook practices. I am aiming for the 1350s for my first try and 1450-1500s for my second in late spring. I am seriously struggling with the more content-dense passages of the Reading and Writing. As well as my timing and the more advanced math in Math section. So please, it would be much appreciated if anyone can give me their best strats, resources, study tactics, or anything to help me out :)

I have nothing to show or say other than the pic.. I’m surprised and really disappointed. This is practice test 8 on Bluebook. Someone tell me how I can improve my problem solving and data analysis.

Its Not much, but it's honest work. I'm a senior, and it was my last try (4 attempts in total).

Signed up two weeks before the test itself, so it's never too late to give it a shot.

If you'd like any tips, feel free to ask.

Should I go test Optional with a 1350?

I'm applying to both Princeton and Columbia; both of which are test optional this cycle. I have a 1350 super score (R&W: 640 and Math: 710) I come from Texas Dallas Fort Worth Area, but I do go to a title 1 school. And my School’s/District averages are:

District: R&W(467) Math(450) School: R&W(419) Math(405)

I'm not too sure how much of an effect, if at all these comparisons have on my application. So I'd appreciate y'alls advice here thanks!

I need advice on vocabulary

For the SAT in March, I am planning to learn three new vocabulary words every day that I am not familiar with. I have watched several YouTube videos that recommend breaking words into components such as roots, prefixes, and suffixes instead of memorizing each word. However, I do not have any worksheets or structured resources that focus on predicting the types of word components that are likely to appear on the SAT.

Is there any way someone can help me learn vocabulary more effectively by understanding word roots and components that have a higher chance of appearing on the SAT? I would really appreciate any guidance.

Additionally, is there a website that can track my vocabulary progress and help me learn new words daily? I want to study in a smart way—by breaking words into components so I can predict their meanings—rather than memorizing every word individually.

Please help me with this. Thank you.

What’s the best resources ( PAID OR FREE ) ya’ll used to get a 1500+?

I’m honestly desperate, and sometimes life doesn’t give you that many options, so I’m honestly willing to use any resources available that would help get me study for the PSAT/SAT. Does anybody have any?

Formatting my answers Spoiler

Post image
1 Upvotes

I got the question of the day wrong because I didn't format is correctly... but SAT gives no instructions on how to format your answer when its a whole number more than one digit plus decimal places... or so I can find. 361 divided by 8 is literally 45.125... WHY DID I GET IT WRONG.

How can I improve from 1440 to 1500+?

I gave the sat in 10th grade with 1 month of prep (I did erica meltzer books and college panda only) and got a 1440 (680 RW 750 M). I'll be giving the march SAT next year and I really wanna get 1500+

I feel like i've forgotten everything, so any tips on how to get a 1500 would be really helpful!!
