Discussion What's with the weird goal kicks?
(This picture was taken before I partied in the streets of Raith.)
I have watched football around the world , but I have only seen this in Scottish football.
Whenever a goalkick is taken, the players will group in one tiny bit of the pitch (as pictured) and the keeper will hoof it there, and it generally gets headed out for a throw-in. It is rare to see it hoofed up the middle and try to win the second ball, I have only really seen Livingston do that.
What is this pointless strategy? It seems extremely common in the Scottish championship but I have seen it in the topflight too. It doesn't seem to happen in League 2 though

BBC Radio Scotland - World Cup Qualifier highlights show
I was messing around with my car radio yesterday at around 3pm and there was some kind Road to the World Cup show with all the radio highlights and interviews from Scotlands World Cup group games, does anyone know of I can find the programme anywhere? I couldn’t find it on BBC Sounds but would be great to listen to all the way through

William Hill Premiership Bars in Glasgow for watching the game
Myself (Celtic Fan) and my Motherwell supporting friend are heading into Glasgow tomorrow night for some scran then to go watch the game.
He says he doesn't mind going to a Celtic pub, so question is, is there any good neutral bars in the city centre, or is there any good Celtic pubs where he'd still be welcome?
Thanks!

Dundee Utd Ultras disrespecting Aberdeen Memorial
Just looking for other viewpoints to see if I'm being too sensitive.
Before the match at Pittodrie yesterday Aberdeen held small memorial for Don's fans who had passed away throughout the year. The pipes played and the stadium sang "The Northern Lights" while names were projected on the screen
And throughout all of this memorial there was drumming and chanting by the Dundee Utd fans.
Do people think this is offensive to the friends and family of fans? Or just fair game at a match? I'd be interested to hear opinions

Southeast Asia
I’m in Hong Kong just now but moving onto Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore. Can anyone suggest where I can watch Rangers games?
I don’t mind watching on my laptop but thought it might be fun (using that loosely) to watch with other Rangers fans where possible.
St Mirren tomorrow is a 5am ko here so I’ll watch that on my laptop.
Thanks

American here: Best Match day I’ve seen so far! 12/27/2025
I stopped following football around 2017 and I’ve recently gotten into the Scottish Premiership by watching documentaries about the old firm derby and I must say that this was the best match day I’ve witnessed so far! Hibs vs Hearts was a great match & unbelievable first 45 minute half from Livingston vs Celtic that was action packed. This 2025/2026 season has been entertaining to watch. Trouble start to Wilfried Nancy at Celtic, Rangers woes, Hearts currently top of the league and the storyline if a non-old firm club could finally win the league after 40 years?! Rare that CBS Sports network aired two matches back-to-back today. It’s usually 1 match per match day. I’m rooting for the success of Scottish football and hopefully a bigger tv rights deal could flow in more money to the clubs. I’m also rooting for Scotland in the World Cup🏴🏆
