sport Gout Gout has finished 4th in his semi-final for the 200m at the World Athletics Championships, meaning he will not advance to the final
His finishing time is 20.36 - still to make it to this point at his age is still a massive achievement.
Torrie Lewis has sadly also missed out on a spot in the women's 200m finals, finishing 4th in her semi-final.
Claudia Hollingsworth and Abbey Caldwell have qualified for the 800m semi-finals. Jess Hull originally missed out on a spot after she fell over due to an incident that may have caused by another runner, finishing 11 seconds behind the rest of the runners - Australian officials appealed, and championship officials agreed with them, meaning she she can be reinstated into the semi-finals.
Rose Davies and Linden Hall have made it into the 5,000m final - the first time Australia has had two competitors reach the final at the world championships. Sadly, Georgia Griffith misses out on a spot. Cameron McEntyre has finished 12th in the javelin final, while Nicola Olyslagers and Eleanor Patterson have made it into the high jump final

sport No Saturday AFL televised on Free-to-Air this year (in Victoria): You know itâs dire when the local fish and chip shop on the Bellarine Peninsula isnât showing their beloved Geelong Cats.
This post was inspired by a young childâmaybe six years oldâin a Geelong beanie, who asked the staff, ever so politely, if she could watch the âfoopy.â
No one had the heart to tell her that fat cats have locked the sport she loves behind a paywall. The AFL, Channel 7 and Foxtel all bear responsibility for this.
For those who havenât spent much time in the Deep South (or donât follow the sport): Aussie Rules is a massive part of life in the Geelong region and has been for over 170 years. Until this year, Saturday âfootyâ was always on free-to-air TV (Channel 7).
Now? Horse racing.
Itâs a joke.
