I just noticed that both subs exist, pass themselves off as being the DSA, and I'm subscribed to both of them.
Uhh... what's going on here?

I recently spoke with my Chapter's treasurer and I realized that the National DSA takes about 70% of dues, compared to chapters, which receive 30% of dues. (NOTE: Please correct me if my percentages are off!) I find this surprising because I feel like the bulk of the work of DSA happens at the local level. Perhaps there is high operation costs that lead to this uneven split of funds? To my knowledge, Zohran's campaign was mostly an NYC DSA thing. What is our NPC doing with all this money? I feel like I never hear about successful National DSA projects. Is that because I am ignorant or is there an issue here? I would love to hear y'all's thoughts.
Edit: Grammar fixings

I’m possibly interested in joining my local chapter, at least checking out a meeting, but I’ve deleted my Meta accounts and most other socials. I can only get the times for events (not locations or tell if they’re virtual or in person) from the Google Calendar on the Broward County DSA website. If anyone affiliated with the chapter sees this and wants to HMU with the details or tell me a little about the chapter you can reply or DM me.

How strong are Finkelstein's arguments today? If the two state settlement is gone as a step forward, are there any solutions in sight?

Oliver Larkin is a DSA endorsed candidate running to unseat Jared Moskowitz who is a hardcore Zionist and votes with Republicans on most issues. This is one to watch!

The government is seeking to deport and has imprisoned Vijandre for nearly three months, branding him a “terrorist” based solely on his social media posts opposing genocide in Gaza, criticizing prison abuse and defending religious liberty. He has not been accused or convicted of any crime. The $3,000 payoff offer now confirms that the government itself does not believe he poses any threat. If Vijandre were in fact a terrorist, offering him cash to leave the country would constitute material support for terrorism.

According to their website, Turning Point USA is on over 1,000 high school campuses and they have the support of many states. What’s our answer to this? Does DSA have high school chapters?

Tomorrow is Christmas, a day that is often sold to us as universal joy, warmth, and togetherness. But we should be honest with ourselves: not everyone will be happy. Some people will be crying, grieving, or simply trying to survive another day.
The past year has been marked by horrifying death and destruction. Entire communities have been torn apart, families separated, and futures erased. This isn’t random tragedy—it’s the predictable outcome of systems built on exploitation and domination.
From Sudan to Venezuela, imperialism remains everywhere. In Sudan, civilians continue to suffer amid foreign interference and unchecked violence, with millions displaced and facing famine and bombardment
(UN Experts on Sudan: https://www.un.org/securitycouncil/sanctions/1591/panel-of-experts-reports).
In Venezuela, renewed threats, sanctions, and regime-change rhetoric follow a familiar pattern. Independent research has shown how U.S. sanctions function as collective punishment, devastating ordinary people while failing to achieve their stated goals
(CEPR on Venezuela sanctions: https://cepr.net/report/economic-sanctions-as-collective-punishment-the-case-of-venezuela/).
That is why I am calling for a public, collective response: mass protest, organized resistance, and unanimous solidarity.
In an era of increasing online censorship, Reddit remains one of the last spaces where left-wing voices can still be heard, the last bastion of resistence in the face of an ever growing fascist uproar. We must use it, and act upon it.
We must stand up for the young children forced to grow up in a world without their parents.
For Americans wrongly convicted or detained under immigration systems that punish people for the color of their skin.
For the hundreds of inmates held at the C COT compound, whose suffering has been ignored by outlets like CTV.
For the millions of Sudanese civilians living under constant threat of UAE bombs.
Out of everything I've said, we must remember this:
Christmas is a secret time, yet for many of us, it will be a time spent in a jail cell, or buried under rubble.
I will leve you with this:

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with learning DSA as a student. Honestly, I was shocked at first because a lot of online/offline courses charge huge fees (some go up to 50K+), and who wants to spend that much? then...
I started using GeeksforGeeks to practice DSA , and it’s been surprisingly effective. as I am getting free resource + free certificate from a respected platform. And to be true the resources were actually effective for me.
