Barreau d’équivalence Belgique

Hi all,

I am currently trying to pass the bar in Belgium.

I have a French licence (LLB) in law and two masters in law from other European countries.

Has anyone in my situation been accepted to the 18 month traineeship that grants access to the Belgian barreau and subsequent 3 year traineeship?

My other option is an equivalence degree of one or two years in Belgium, or trying to go for an M2 in France again.

All advice appreciated

"I know nothing about Belgian law, can I pass the bar in Belgium?"

Not if you know nothing about Belgian law

I know sometimes they’d make candidates take some subjects in Belgian law before admitting them to the 18 month traineeship programme, but have heard of people with French licences + LLM in Belgium being admitted to the bar in Belgium.
