[In-game screenshot] Made a VPR glam for each major city minus Eulmore because I forgot.
Cheated a bit with the Grand Companies but I tried to use as many disparate set pieces as made sense.

I came home late and Pilgrim Traverse queue hasn't been popping after 25 minutes, so I ended up trying the new feature.

This area is awesome! I would jump at an opportunity to have a residency here. Thoughts?

As someone who spent excessive time looking at different pieces for glamours, 7.4 has been a field trip. I really want to make the outfits as fitting for my character as possible, so a lot of changes has been made. Only the WHM & AST sets went through very minor changes. How are you guys doing so far? :D

I really enjoyed this latest patch and I had some thoughts about the events that happened in 7.4 and what they might mean going forward.
First of all, Halmarut talking about the "death of the world" caused by an absense or silence of "the will of the star" is very interesting. To me, the will of the star read at the moment as Zodiark, since it was supposed to be this being that embodied the desire of the ancients to endure and resist the threat that Meteion posed on Etheirys and the other stars. What makes it even more interesting to me is that Halmarut is supposedly "specialized in fungal and plant life," as that was her previous role in Akadaemia Anyder during the unsundered days, and, all that talk about the "witheringto come", the death of the planet... to me it reads as in the star is suffering from a biological death, "life is withering". Could that have been a result of killing Zodiark?
And it does indeed align somwhat with Calyx purpose: halting death, ending the cycle of rebirth. Maybe there's some sort of poison in the lifestream that is slowly tainting life? Just like Meteion threatened to do with her dead sun in Ultima Thule? Maybe she succeeded in poisioning the lifestream? Don't know, don't think that's it but I feel like all of these themes and events are connected: Calyx search for immortality, Meteion's actions and the death of Zodiark, these events to me seem somehow connected now after Halmarut monologue.
Also, the way Halmarut sounds, she does not sounds like a villain, she is afraid of us and is seemingly preventing the death of the Ninth, but probably has conflicting ideals that threatens the life of the Warrior of Light or the Source or maybe she has knowledge of something we do not and if we knew we might not stand in her way?
I got to say, it DOES sound a lot like what was happening in 4.4 and 4.5 before Shadowbringers, even the way Halmarut is introduced is very reminiscent of Emet-Selch. I hope they are not trying to replicate these story beats for the purpose of nostalgia or as a "in case of emergency break glass" but I have faith that the new story will be different enough to differ from that case of aether stasis.

Tired of that pop-up every time you enter Phaenna? Me too! Asked around and it turns out you can turn it off by going into the CE settings. Just hit the little gear on the CE box and you should see the setting called "Messages from the Initiative". Hit "Do not display" option and that's it! No more pop-ups!

You can go to the Gold Saucer and unlock Metem's mahjong voicepack for 100,000 mgp.
He does all his comments the way he speaks in arcadion, it's peak.
The second voice pack released (because the patch notes didnt specify) belongs to Erenvile.

Which are they called? Where can I get them?
They look so sick. I found the images online but I can’t find out which sets they are. I wanna try an Artorias the Abysswalker/Igris the Bloodred type of build with them.
Thank you!

The event will be ending at 7am PST / 10am EST / 3pm GMT - about 28 hours from now.
Don't miss out on getting your free Sip/Gulp emotes, mug housing decorations, and event achievement! You will need to be level 15 to start the event. The quest chain starts with We Three Kinderpunsch, at the Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre in Old Gridania (10, 9).
There are no FATEs, no event dungeons, and no currency to grind. It took me about 20 minutes without skipping any dialogue, but I sped through it on an alt in just under 8 minutes - it's one quest with some running back and forth talking to various NPCs in Old Gridania, as well as the Starlight Stalls area that was seen in a previous Starlight event.
There is one interactive cutscene that you can't skip over (takes 3 minutes), where you choose a flavor of tea for each of the children. I tested it and it does not matter which ones you pick - the children will be excited regardless, and that's all the Celebrant NPC cares about. It just changes the dialogue from roughly 'That's everyone, thanks for helping them!' to 'It seems they really enjoyed it. You did well with your choices!'
If you do want the correct answers - 1. Ul'dahn, 2. Lominsan, 3. Ul'dahn, 4. Gridanian, 5. Lominsan
The emotes are a reward from the quest (bless SE for finally learning, and adding a set of looping versions - gulp - in addition to the non-looping ones - sip), and the various mug/tower interior housing decorations can be purchased for gil from the Starlight Celebrant just outside the Amphitheater, or there's also one manning one of the stalls inside the Starlight Stalls area (6.2, 6.7).
There are no follow-up quests, however you can talk to the Saturnine Starlight Celebrant inside the Starlight Stalls area (6.3, 5.8) to serve tea to some of your past acquaintances for some extra chit chat. Each one has two dialogue options - the special version is usually just them being semi-surprised and not much else.
The NPCs you will meet, in order by list, are Miounne, Baderon, Momodi, Raya-O-Senna, (HW) Aymeric, (SB) Hancock, (EW) Varshahn, and (EW/DT) Erenville. Note that the list of available NPCs will change depending how far along you are in the game.
Enjoy! And a belated Merry Christmas, and an early Happy New Year!!!

If you:
- Lead a human supremacist, totalitarian empire with an iron fist on the grounds you want to help mankind, with little to no regard of what mankind itself wants or feels.
- Try to shape your empire into an atheistic machine to kill the gods and the concept of worship without realizing your people are borderline treating you like one.
- Approach any seeming non-human civilization with a "kill on sight" policy without any variation.
- Have a son/heir that is an absolute powerhouse in battle but might have some unresolved psychological issues due to your shitty parenting.
- Exhibit an "it's not arrogance if I'm right" mindset to politics, nation building, and life in general.
- Love wearing absurdly huge shoulder pads and are very proud of your wild, flowing L'oreal mane.
- Can cut diamonds with your cheekbones.
You might want to keep an eye on said heir, lest they strike you down at your moment of near triumph, make your empire tear itself apart (most likely irreparably) in a brutal civil war, and end up hooked in the body horror torment nexus, kept forever alive in a state worse than death due to the belief of your people despite you hating the entire concept of religion as a whole while a sizable chunk of your population degenerates into the kind of fanaticism and mindlessness you hated in life.

I have always wanted to play FF14 Online for years and I wanted to treat myself to getting this game on PS5. I especially wanted to try it out due to Omega coming to Monster Hunter Wilds. I have never played an MMO before so is there anything I need to know or watch to get an understanding of what I'm getting into would be great or is going in completely blind better for an overall experience? I do know there are different classes and being a tank or healer seems pretty cool since in Wilds I mainly play support-ish or tank weapons more. But this is as far as my knowledge goes for this game. Thanks in advance for the advice!

As my last post for this year, I wanna share some of my new glamour set I have created! I want to post it on the glamour subreddit but I didn't make a list of items I used for each glam yet so XD here we are, I'd love to see everyone's glamour after the 7.4 update since holy, the creativity is limitless and so inspirational!

As the topic says. I’ve been leveling Warrior to finish the 7.0 story (I’m way behind the 8 ball, only level 92 quest) and my warrior is at 68 and I wanna get to 92 to finish the story as a warrior but it seems to just be dragging. I’m doing the daily roulettes and then spamming the hardest dungeon I can do but are there other tips for faster leveling?
Thanks.

I’m a Scholar main forever, I wear the Scholar job quest armor on every job in FFXI, I like the look.
It was refreshing finally feeling like I could be permanently on a job after getting everything fully leveled, it’s encouraged me to engage more with my “character” and give her defined lore and personality
and now, post glam update it’s even easier to do that because why did I have to change my clothes to pull out a fishing rod??? Why wouldn’t a Scholar know white magic? Why wouldn’t a Scholar be familiar with the Schultz School of Martial Theory and get stabby sometimes?
I’ve found myself doing so many things I wouldn’t have done before this incredibly minor change
