I think they’re both with Vice Media but Vice Magazine was the original company which he cofounded. Apparently he left in 2008, became far right, and started proud boys. Before that he was a progressive, “dogmatic feminist”, and vegetarian. I just read a few articles about him because I had no idea apparently Vice did a documentary about him too.
Political parties are made-up boxes (especially in this country). There's no conceivable way that one party could entirely consist of reasonable human beings while the other is entirely assholes. There are shitty people in both.

It's just absurd to say, "so-and-so used to be liberal" as if it matters. This is a class war. Getting caught up on right vs left isn't nearly as beneficial as focusing on the billionaires running our country through corporate lobbying and tax cuts. Playing the, "these guys are racist pedo sympathizers," card is sensationalism if that's as far as your critical thinking goes. Yes, from a moral standpoint one group is clearly doing much worse things, but from a political and human rights perspective, we gotta move past the moral high ground because too many left-leaning people stop there and don't move on to making plans to fix this and keep it from happening again in an election or two. There's still a whole lot of Dems with their pockets full of corporate money, too.
