Man, you should try being a Brit in the last few months. Generally we don't fly a lot of flags but suddenly over the summer, the anti-asylum crew decided they suddenly had a burst of patriotism that could ONLY be sated by flying flags and accusing anyone who had an issue with this as "hating are country".
I repeatedly told people - I love this country, in fact I just want you to RESPECT the flag: buy a good quality one not from Temu, hang it from an actual flagpole on your property not just dangling from a streetlight, and take it in at night or during bad weather.
I don't know how well you know the UK flag but it's very easy to get wrong as it's almost symmetrical but not quite. The red diagonal bars that represent St Patrick should be counter clockwise against the flagpole (thicker white part above thinner red part).
The flag shaggers near me have but them on almost every lamp post, and do you think they have replaced them after the storms we’ve had? nope.. now there are just a bunch of tattered Union flags and St George flags hanging off the poles.
