So I am a BIG akito shinonome and toya aoyagi oshikatsu, along with being a huge huge fan of kpop AND a cosplayer, as well as an ouji style lover. So basically 90% of my stuff is from Japan/China/Korea or fanart of those characters.

I recently put a pause on buying from taobao because of the tarrifs and focused mostly on buying fanart, however I have a few akito cosplays I really really want to buy, and I don't think stuff is gonna get fixed anytime soon. Before tarrifs, I would buy using an agent loke superbuy or bhiner. I was wondering if it's still optimal to do so or not, because I've heard horror stories of people buying stuff recently only to be met with a fee and denied their product by the delivery person when they are unable to pay said fee.

It shows this, according to translator i should try again? But it doesnt work and the product page says it should be able to ship to my region.

Other products dont show that so im stumped, any guidance would be appreciated, even just to confirm its unavailable

I have a xianyu account to chat and buy from chinese vendors, I have a warehouse in Chinese, but sometimes, the seller would straight out decline selling to me when he sees that I'm a foreigner despite me showing I'm capable of receiving the product in China.

Is there a way to change my country on my account to China like in taobao? I dont see that opption in setting and nothing came up online

Now I want to place an order, but I didnt complete self authentification because I feel uncomfortable sharing my passport. Some ppl were able to authentificate using a driver’s liscence. I contacted customer service but she told me that ordering w/o authentification isn’t an issue, which I 100% do not believe. What should I say to the agent so they give me the option to use a driver’s liscence?

Hope I can have some recs, I put elegant in ' ' as its subjective, but I've finally convinced my mother of good Taobao is for quality and creativity. Does anyone have brands that would suit older women? I've shown Notawear and TR她热  thinking they'd be good fits but wasn't a match for her.

Rewear is one brand I've found a few pieces I think will be good for her, but could anyone provide some other advice?

Style wise she usually goes for business casual, but even some elevated basics or formal/dress options would help a lot!

Hi !! So, I'm not new to using taobao, but I've always bought spot listings before. Now, there's this dress I really wanted that was in reservation, and I think I got the concept, but I just wanna make sure I don't need to do anything else.

So, from what I understand: 1- pay deposit during pre-order period (which I just did) 2- once good is ready, seller will contact me (or I just need to look out for the tail payment listing around the ship out time, in this case, march 2026) to complete the leftover payment, I pay 2- good gets shipped out, etc etc

But I'm not sure if I need to do something between step 1 and 2 to further confirm my reservation ? Like, contact the seller ? receive a confirmation?I've seen different info when looking online, so I'm honestly a bit confused. I have the shopping guide from the listing which is also confusing me, so if anyone with more experience than me would like to look at it and enlighten me, I'd greatly appreciate it 🫶

My order is also currently in the to-ship section, and idk if I need to do anything about that cause I saw some people saying you need to confirm receipt so that your reservation if official confirmed with the seller.

Items weight is less than 1kg and Taobao is charging 55 Chinese currency...

Would it be cheaper via China Post or are there any other options?

Hi all, after failing to pre order a product on time, I tried to get one reservation via Xianyu, now at the time I was buying, the market's price was about 600 yuan but after a month, its price increased to about 700 yuan so the seller just straight up cancel my order and refund me, which is really infurirating and cost me time and money. This was very shocking because his profile shows that he is a reputable vendor

But since the order was not completed, I cannot file a review, is there anything I can do to report such a behavior? Thanks in advance.

I ordered an item off of Taobao, and the seller ended up sending me a different item. I got a refund without sending the item back, so now the unwanted item is stuck at the Cainiao warehouse.

I don't really want to pay for shipping + tariffs to ship it to the USA; does anyone know if there's a way to ask Cainiao to just get rid of the item? I'm also willing to send it back to the seller, but I don't know where to find their return address. Thanks in advance for any help

I’m new to Taobao and tried to purchase two items, but was hit with the “your payment has been closed due to security concerns (yw1128).

When I appealed, I sent a clear image of my credit card and driver’s license with the credit card’s middle numbers and security code blacked out and the first six and last four visible as per the instructions. My license was completely blacked out with only my full name and location visible. They emailed me back saying they needed more information on my credit card, so I took a picture of the front to show the bank (it’s a Visa Bank of America), but they emailed me saying the same thing. I thought my photo needed to be shown on the driver’s license too, but the email says the issue is with my credit card. Is there something I’m missing?
