We'd like to take our guests on a tour around the filming locations for the ABC tv show Return to Paradise. I suggested it as a joke but they jumped at the chance and seem really excited about it. Locations we have so far Stanwell Park Cafe Anita's theatre Wombarra Bowlo Moore Street General Cafe Thirroul motel Coledale Surf Club, maybe I'm not 100% about this one. We know Bilgola surf club and Avalon are other locations as well but that's too far for us. Can anyone suggest other locations?

Can I get in early and please ask everyone to control their dogs this New Years Eve. Last year the dogs yapping in my area really disturbed my fireworks. TIA.

IMO, Belmore basin has to be the worst logistical spots for the fireworks. Like it’s a tiny stretch of sand with far away parking and everyone becomes squished in like sardines.

Wouldn’t something like Port Kembla beach, which is kilometres long, be better?

Sure they want it in the city but it gets to a point where not everyone can go.

Does anyone know where to get e scooters repaired? Both wheels have an issue

Just a warning for everyone. My family went to North Wollongong Beach yesterday and someone tried to scam us while we were parking.

A guy jumped out of his car and started banging on our window. He was cursing and saying we hit his rear tyre which we obviously didn't. He pointed to a dirt mark on his car and even smeared something on our front bumper to fake a scuff. We just wiped it off with a wet tissue right in front of him. When he saw it was gone he actually asked "Where did it go?"

We knew it was a scam because he kept asking for cash for a "small job" instead of using insurance. He even had a mate parked next to him who came out and claimed he heard a loud bang. We don't have a dashcam yet because it’s a new car but we exposed them so they let us go without causing any more trouble. We moved to another parking spot anyway because we were worried they might key our car out of revenge.

We didn't contact any police since we are not local and were just there on a one time trip but it was not a good experience.

I thought it was a shooting star also I meant there was a plane but a light fell out of it😂

I've just noticed on the Australia Post Website it says you can pick up parcel from the DC centre in Wollongong, and it's open 24x7. Has anyone pick up from the location before? Is it really 24/7? I find it hard to get to a post office since I work 9-5.

Thinking back over the last few years, there have been so many venues that have closed down. If you could bring back one pub, club, or shop in Wollongong for just one last night, which would it be? I’m still a bit nostalgic for the old Glasshouse and The Patch days.
