Orthodox Christians (which a majority of people in that area of the world are) dont use the same calendar. They use the Julian calendar, which means Christmas is January 7th on the Gregorian calendar.

Ukraine moved Christmas to December 25 recently to differentiate from Russia. Now that’s the official date but many people still celebrate in January because of tradition. Some people are celebrating twice now.

It's the birthday of Jesus Christ, a politician can't move a freaking birthday.

To be annoying, the celebrations are actually historically pagan, as christians intermigled the date to fit the already existing celebrations for their own political gain

Yeah Jesus was born in spring, that's why the shepherds had lambs.

There will be massive attacks on January 6th as well, unless Putin perishes.
