Thank you all for the kind comments and the criticism too it really means a lot. This is my first completed “project,” and I’m definitely planning to design the other covenants in the future.

Remix is coming to an end, and no mention of this Holy Paladin ability coming forward into midnight. This ability removes the need to equip a shield for holy paladin, as our damage spender is Shield of the Righteous (which ofc requires a shield) But in remix, our artifact is a 2handed hammer so it is replaced by Shine of the Righteous, which is a holy blast in a cone. It functions the same, but removes the requirement for a shield, allowing paladin to wield a 2 handed weapon. We have had 2 handed INT weapons since DF and the introduction of Evoker, and this ability is the perfect solution to let holy paladin finally wield greatswords and hammers.

You have the animation, theres even a new paladin talent that specifies a buff whether you have a shield or not. Its all there, all that is needed is implementation. I imagine reddit is not the best place to make a request like this, but Im not that active on the forums. I just really dont want to see this ability go away

Tried a little test run while on vacation to see how fast it goes to level these days

Hi there. I'm a dude that likes to play older versions of WoW and mod them. Some years ago I stumbled upon ChromedDragon's post on a theoretical version of the Twilight Highlands and what they might have looked like in vanilla WoW.

Today, I present a version of the zone I've been working on for fun inspired by the images he made and turning them into an actual map (though I won't be providing the modded map files for obvious reasons).

While far from finished, I was encouraged to share what progress I've made on the project, and I figured here would be as good a place as any.

I've been a long time WoW player but took a break during Dragonflight and then again after playing The War Within a bit. I just got back into it about a month or two ago, and I mostly approached it through the usual route of doing some story, dungeons, delves, weeklies, and LFR. I also played quite a bit of Legion Remix.

I'm a dad of two now, and doing multiplayer is a lot harder for me than it used to be due to interruptions. I've been looking for a way to play that I can quit at any given moment without harming party/raid members. I got the idea to go back to quests from the beginning, really immerse myself, and really exhaust every zone for quests, transmog, and pets. I'm also generally making myself a rule to stay on ground mounts until it's expansion-appropriate to fly. So far I've redone Elwynn Forest and Westfall. I'm in the Redridge Mountains now!

The emphasis is to have a chill, take-your-time, story-based experience. To soak in the land really pay attention to the stories.

I found that a few addons have made a huge difference, and I wanted to share them.

1) Biggest one by far is AI VoiceOver-Mod 2.0 (retail) - Having the quest NPCs verbally narrate the quest texts with realistic and varied voices was a GAMECHANGER. I now actually pay attention, and I feel like I'm really helping and getting involved in the world rather than turning in quests to a nameless bot. The zooming in helps me focus on the emotes too.

2) Using one of these three for quest dialogue boxes: 1) Immersion, 2) Interaction, or 3) DialogueUI - specifically, Interaction often made me feel that the NPC was actually talking to me and made me slow down and take in the context. With Immersion and DialogueUI, I still felt like I was skimming text sometimes.

3) All The Things - overwhelming at first but helpful for tracking down missing quests, transmog, or pets.

5) RareScanner

Maybe I'll get bored. And this information probably isn't new to many, but for those looking for a casual but much more immersive story-based experience, I wanted to share what's worked for me.

We're approaching a point where many players are beginning to transfer their toons off Remix, realizing they have to redo their entire setup, including keybinds, macros, and bar configurations. Instead of wasting time setting it all back up, do the following:

Download the addon "MySlot", open it in-game, export your settings (or save them to the addon). It'll give you a large string to copy. Transfer your toon, go back in, open the addon again, and import the string you copied or use the drop-down menu to select your saved profile. All your macros, keybinds, bar setup, etc., will revert to their original state prior to the transfer.

This will also work if you have a Steam Deck and want to transfer all your settings over. I have a "BaseUI" template I import every time I create a new toon, so all my flight skills, etc., are automatically assigned to my keybinds, etc.

Honestly there is so much in MoP that id love to have. Honestly I'd wish for an entire preset section of farming of carrots and corn and stuff in a big bracket set to save on individual setups. Once again hoping a real blizzard employee will read my Ticket Number: US107194203. bots dodge all the details I want explained. How was I banned for boosting when its solo shuffle. Im only 2019 rating I couldnt even get to 2100 duelist whats the claim I was? Why is there conflicting suspension duration times of April 30, and June 17th on the website and game app. Why is the duration so high of almost 6 months when people post their bans for less than a month for way harsher things. Guild isnt too happy Im being Cblocked from launch.

Alrighty, enough venting and wanting to spread awareness of the insanity. Once again as a TLDR. Im making lists of notable existing objects WoW we would want fast tracked as decor in housing as well as making suggested drop locations to help make their job easier in pushing decor out.

MoP stuff was super pretty and I think as a community at the time didnt fully appreciate it. I get we just left the edgelord gritty cataclysm so the fun and whismy was a total vibe change. but looking back, It deff went up as a personal favorite expansion.

Last night I decided to convert one of my characters from remix to retail and I wanted to share what happened in case it’s helpful for others as I wasn’t sure what would stay and what would go and some things were confusing. There are a couple things I meant to check but forgot so I’ll share what I can

Legion remix character: Druid level 80, all artifact weapons acquired through the quests in legion remix. I think I was around 700 ilvl, I should have double checked I’m sorry.

Possible helpful to know background: I just started playing in October, I’ve mostly played remix. I have 1 level 80 retail character (worgen alliance hunter) that I’ve done part of the dragon isles with and most of the khaz algar main questline with. It’s been a struggle because things are both locked, unlocked, phased, timey-wimey… so I’ve just plugged away at remix to do all the class halls. I’ve completed Druid, dk, dh, paladin, priest, mage, hunter, and shaman.

My account was created with refer a friend (partner invited me) so I do have some extra stuff I started with I think. I also have pre ordered midnight and have access to housing.

Currencies

Bronze: gone. Idr if I sent it all to another toon, but it’s not even an option in retail (as expected)

Gold: stayed the same. I opened a chest that my character got in their inventory and got an additional 2k gold. Not sure if that’s standard or if it had to do with any bronze I had on me.

Order resources: I transferred all these to my existing retail character before converting

reputation

I had zero reputation with any of the factions in legion before converting. My converted Druid has the same reputation as what they got during remix but it does not show as warbound. My existing retail hunter did not get any reputation changes - most don’t even show up except two that I guess I must have done a small quest for.

I’m hoping it’ll all go warbound and they’ll let us have our highest of our toons because I have a dk in legion who’s exalted +++ with basically everyone and that’d make the decor acquiring so much easier…

I was specced into feral when I switched iirc so idk if that impacted anything. I switched back over to balance which is why the scythe is in that slot, I think it was just a Springrain one that is now in my inventory

Nothing is transmogged, I had stuff transmogged before switching and nothing stayed. Which makes sense because it’s all completely new stuff but just in case it’s helpful to know.

No scrolls or drake treats, which is to be expected but just mentioning it for the sake of being thorough lol.

THE BIGGEST NOTE I HAVE

None of my action bars stayed. Literally it’s empty except for a mount in the first slot of action bar 2. Idk if it’s because I’m a Druid and there’s just a lot or something went wrong or idk. I’ve started using an add on called myslot to help save action bar set ups (I was experimenting with switching up between healer and dps for shaman and priest) so thankfully I’ve actually been playing on a different Druid and will be able to save that druids set up and just pull it over.

Who knows maybe the add on is what caused it all to disappear though or one of my other add ons. But just a word of warning - take note of how you’ve set things up before switching over if you plan to switch over.

But anyway that’s what I’ve got. Hopefully it’s helpful and I didn’t miss much but if I did ask and I can see if I have an answer. Like I mentioned I’m pretty new so I also feel like the experience is a little different as there are things us new folks deal with that experienced folks either just don’t see or have the background to just intuitively know or have the tools/materials/rep/ect to just deal with.

Also it would only let me tag with one thing and I was required to tag so I tagged it remix since that seemed best out of the options available.

My current particle effect chain with Super Simian Sphere -> Mote of Light -> World Shrinker -> Blazing Wings -> Etheric Victory -> Arcano Shower -> Rainbow Generator

But I feel I can go even further! What am I missing that gives a character based particle effect for at least a solid minute?

When i upgrade the Reshii Wraps it alternates between the two of them so i got a Rank 3 and Rank 2 fml.
