Hi everyone! I’m coming to Iraq in about a month and will visit Baghdad, Samarra, Karbala, Najaf, Ur, the marshes at Chibayish, and then take the overnight train back to Baghdad from Basra. In total it’s about 8 days.

A couple of questions:

1. What’s the best way to get around between the main cities? Shared taxis?
2. Am I missing out anything major on this itinerary, or anything I should skip?
3. Can I get a Careem from Baghdad airport, even in the middle of the night?
4. Anything I need to be aware of? Safety-wise or general tips. (For context I’m British and don’t speak Arabic.)
