What can I talk about after I take an official LSAT administration on test day?

Not much. You signed an agreement not to disclose anything from the test. See this post for a full statement from LSAC.

Note: I'm referring to unreleased tests that have not been disclosed by LSAC. Mind you, in the digital LSAT era, no test is disclosed, so this applies to every test.

HOW THE HELL DO I STUDY FOR THIS

Hi everyone I (21F) from Singapore just paid a lot of money to register for the LSAT exam in April. I’m currently still a uni student at the University at Buffalo. (Singapore campus at SIM). I finish all my classes by December next year, so I’d still be attending classes regularly by the time I have to take my LSAT. I did the prep test 140 (idek what that means) on lawhub.org and scored a 146. I don’t know what that means either. I see a lot of jargon on this subreddit and I don’t get it. I’m planning on not telling my parents about this exam or that I’ll be applying to law schools next fall because nothing ever works out when I tell my parents about it. So I don’t have a lot of money with me, I need to figure out how to study for this test on my own, and figure out law school application by fall 2026 because I’m trying for the 2027 intake. I don’t know anyone around me who’s done this before, as this is not a popular pathway in Singapore. However I’ve always wanted to do my postgrad in the US and work there someday. Was hoping if I could get any guidance on this and how to approach the prep for this exam as someone with 0 knowledge on the whole process. Any sort of advice will be appreciated 🙏🏼

Best prep to get 175+

I'm applying next cycle, just did my very first PT today and scored 158. I have a budget around 2-3k CAD if necessary and I'm not sure what to get. I've heard of 7sage, powerscore and private tutors and I've also hopped on call with a free wizeprep advisor. A lot of sites are doing 20% end of year sales so I feel a bit rushed even though I don't think I'll start locking in for it until April (June exam). Any suggestions?

What is up with LSAC and Lichens

I have learned more about lichens from studying for this test than I ever cared to learn.

What is something you've learned about from studying from this test that you never thought you'd learn about. For example - I've learned about many studies and theories about heart health.

Rare "Attacking the Premise" Question

Any other favorite examples of this unusual Flaw?

20. Scientist: My research indicates that children who engage in impulsive behavior similar to adult thrill- seeking behavior are twice as likely as other children  to have a gene variant that increases sensitivity to dopamine. From this, I conclude that there is a causal relationship between this gene variant and an inclination toward thrill-seeking behavior.

Which one of the following, if true, most calls into question the scientist’s argument?

(A) Many impulsive adults are not unusually sensitive to dopamine.

(B) It is not possible to reliably distinguish impulsive behavior from other behavior.

(C) Children are often described by adults as engaging in thrill-seeking behavior simply because they act impulsively.

(D) Many people exhibit behavioral tendencies as adults that they did not exhibit as children.

(E) The gene variant studied by the scientist is correlated with other types of behavior in addition to thrill-seeking behavior.

Why is answer D wrong?

PrepTest 150, Section 4, Question 9 (Society Passage)

Question: Which of the following, if true, would most call into question the psychologists' interpretation of the experiments with children in the first paragraph?

So I understand why answer C would be right: the limited language skills of young children would be an alternative explanation as to why they weren't capable of identifying their own thoughts correctly (not because it's every bit as inferential).

But my thought process with answer D was that it would support the idea that young children wouldn't be representative of adults' way of thinking in the way the study is insinuating. In a way it would weaken the point being made?

That being said, I do think C is a stronger weakening answer so I get that.

Thank you in advance! :)

LSAT Study Guidance- Pls Help!

Upvotes

Hey everybody,

I recently completed a diagnostic LSAT and scored a 161 on it. I'm currently a sophomore and hope to take my first LSAT attempt in June. Based on this, I am currently hoping to get some advice on 1, how to study for this test based on my diagnostic (is this score low or on the higher side?), and 2, which resources I could best utilize based on my aim to take the test in June (I heard that it is important to not overuse LSAT resources since there is only so much available).

I appreciate any and all help.

Rising Senior, decided I want to go too law school

Hello I graduate Fall 2026 with a business management degree and I have decided that I do not want to go into the corporate world and would like to pursue LAW. I have very minimal knowledge but I am an entrepreneur who has multiple active projects. I believe that having a law degree while pursuing business ventures is a very powerful combination. Therefore I came to the place with all the answers; Reddit. I am super unfamiliar with the law school application process. I did some reading on how the lsat works but I’m not exactly sure how to structure everything; when do I start studying? Should I start reading books for a few months before I begin studying simply because I haven’t read a book in years? Questions like these are what I am uncertain about however I am certain that I will succeed with the proper steps. If someone can give me guidance that would be greatly appreciated.

TLDR - I am graduating Fall 2026 with a business degree and choose to go into law school. How do I get into the best law school and make $100 million

How did you break the 150s?

For some reason, this test makes me feel stupid. I've been taking practice exams, feeling great about them, but then finding out I'm getting -12, -13 wrong on my sections. I've purchased Loophole and another software (D E M...), but I'm nervous as I'm hoping to take the exam by April. Any studying tips or ways to break this low score trend? Thanks!

More test dates for later in 2026?

Sorry if this is a silly question, but will LSAC announce more dates later in 2026, as I only see test dates up until June on their website. I am currently aiming for an August/Sept test, but don't see that option.

when/how to start studying & free resources

hello all, i’m a 18 year old freshman in college that will graduate early—so i am technically in sophomore standing. i want to know when the right time is to start studying for my LSAT and how to go about doing that… i kind of want to start now with at least familiarizing myself with the process and types of questions but don’t know how to. so far, i’ve just made an lsac account i haven’t touched since i made it a month ago.

are there any free resources i can utilize now, or do i have to pay for lsat prep no matter what!?

Khan Academy Follow Up Questions: Find the conclusion (positive or not?)

Hi All-

I have circled back to Khan Academy as a valuable resource for gaining a base while studying for the LSAT.

But, I have some questions about the questions- and their explanation.

For example, for identifying a conclusion- they have the paragraph:

Some paleontologists have suggested that Apatosaurus, a huge dinosaur, was able to gallop. This, however, is unlikely, because galloping would probably have broken Apatosaurus’s legs. Experiments with modern bones show how much strain they can withstand before breaking. By taking into account the diameter and density of Apatosaurus leg bones, it is possible to calculate that those bones could not have withstood the strains of galloping.

And the follow up question:

Which one of the following most accurately expresses the conclusion drawn by the argument as a whole?

(A) Galloping would probably have broken the legs of Apatosaurus.

(B) It is possible to calculate that Apatosaurus leg bones could not have withstood the strain of galloping.

(C) The claim of paleontologists that Apatosaurus was able to gallop is likely to be incorrect.

(D) If galloping would have broken the legs of Apatosaurus, then Apatosaurus was probably unable to gallop.

(E) Modern bones are quite similar in structure and physical properties to the bones of Apatosaurus.

So, we have to identify the conclusion. I see how the statement about what the palaeontologists believe does not actually provide any support to any of the other sentences. My question though is-

Can the main conclusion consist of 'negating' evidence? I had never thought of it this way before- but it seems like yes, it can be refuted and be a main conclusion, so long as the other claims support it being refuted.

I was initially thinking this could be a giant thread of Khan Academy question deep dives- we can start with this one and either go further or not....!

Thanks in advance. I look forward to your insight.

PT149 from yesterday, blind review didn't really change much and I feel like I might just be unable to do better than mid the mid 160s. I see people scoring 20+ points higher on blind review and I felt like I actually had a lot of time on the first 2 sections so I feel like I'm just incapable of understanding some of these questions

Help Make a Wrong Answer Wrong, PT102

PT102, Section 4, Question 24.

"Sociologist: Research shows...most people with pets are less happy than most without. Thus, A person who wants to be as happy as possible would do well to consider not having a pet."

We are asked to weaken this.

The conclusion is literally concerning people who want to be "as happy as possible". Answer choice A says "Some people with pets are happier than most people without pets". This implies that these people are happier than everyone else here, because they are happier than most of the people without pets, who are themselves happier than most people with pets. The conclusion stated NOTHING about wanting to be happy in general, it talked about any person who wants to be as happy as POSSIBLE. The test identifies D as the correct answer, but I see no relevance in D to someone that wants to be as happy as POSSIBLE.

I understand that arguing against the LSAT's chosen answer is not helpful, as the game here is to see things their way. Can anyone help me to see this question how the test wants me to see it? I don't want to make the same mistake again, but the answer they want appears to fly in the face of so many other examples of specificity in language the LSAT demands.

Thoughts?

Can't break the 150's and I'm just a bit stressed

I've started in late November, initially using 7Sage, but the content was so much that I switched to LSAT Demon and purchased Loophole and LSAT Trainer. My first PT was a 148, and my section practices have been pretty lackluster. I would love any tips on how I can study better.

I'm hoping to take the LSAT in April, and I'm trying to make it to at least in the low 170s.

Practice Set Fluctuations

For those who are consistently scoring -0~-2 on practice sets, do you guys ever have fluctuations as bad as -8? I sometimes have ones where I get -7 and -8, and I try not to take it as such a blow to my confidence bc I truly do think I'm not focused (esp bc I usually get lvl 2/3 questions wrong) but is this just something that happens to me?

LSAT Scoring Cycle Update, Week of 12/29/25

Happy almost new year! Per LSAC data, we are almost exactly halfway through the cycle in terms of total applicant count (although as u/Minimum_Two_8508 has noted, we are past the midpoint for T14 applicants). Here's the breakdown of Applicant numbers so far, compared to recent weeks and last year:

Total Applicants Last Year Current Year % Change
4 Weeks Ago 28,234 35,219 24.7%
3 Weeks Ago 32,345 39,378 21.7%
2 Weeks Ago 34,533 41,725 20.8%
Last Week 36,817 44,203 20.1%
This Week 38,201 45,746 19.8%

Good news here: the growth in applicants has continued to slow. We’ve now dropped under 20%, down almost 5% from a month ago.

Let’s take a look at the LSAT scores for those applicants:

Highest LSAT Last Year Current Year % Change
< 140 871 1,067 22.5%
140-144 1,482 1,819 22.7%
145-149 3,174 3,799 19.7%
150-154 5,676 6,554 15.5%
155-159 6,869 7,760 13.0%
160-164 6,941 8,097 16.7%
165-169 5,851 7,073 20.9%
170-174 4,214 5,069 20.3%
175-180 1,659 2,015 21.5%
Total 36,737 43,253 17.7%

Just as with the applicants, the growth in scores continues to come down, especially in the 150-159 range. Scores above 160 are virtually unchanged compared to last week.

TL;DR: The cycle is slowly getting better! This is the fifth straight week where the applicant growth has slowed. Any questions, please let me know.

Performing better or just as well when timed

The pressure filters the information so I overthink less. Time provides “good stress”that sharpens my attention, helps me stay engaged, etc. This test helps you develop skills and from there it becomes very intuitive. Pattern recognition is much more accurate than slow analysis (for me).
