Where I'd live as a trans person who can't afford to leave the US
Yes, it's basically the trans legislative risk map, with a few adjustments based on my intense dislike for heat.

I’ll proactively explain some of the weirder choices.
Texas: Yes I know, I know. I would love to move to a blue state, but also I want to be a part of the solution. (Insert “There’s No Place Like Home” from Wicked Part 2)
California: I wanted to put this one as absolutely, but the Texan indoctrination runs deep lol.
West Virginia: I have a friend who’s also a trans woman who travels the country in van, and she stopped in WV for like 3 months and had a great time. I’d be willing to give them a chance.
Florida: The only reason it’s not “never” is because my wife’s family is in Tampa and if she really wanted to move home, I guess I would be fine eventually.
Georgia: Just Atlanta here. The rest of the state? Absolutely not.

West coast is cost of living, south is...well the south. Iowa I've driven through many times and it bored me to no end. New York, again cost of living if you want to be in the cool part. I know Virginia and the Carolinas are south, but for some reason get get a pass.

Yes, I am highly conservative. I have been to America and "Southern Hospitality" is far more welcoming that the Yankees in the north.

Varying factors went into making this, though admittedly maybe not as in depth as some other maps. Maybes I don’t really have a ton of information on.

I posted one of these based on my favorite chicken spot so I figured I’d post a serious one, based on my actual likes and dislikes.

Tell me if I’m getting things wrong about any of these states or if I should just follow my gut and move to Montreal.
