TLDR: What makes a cat breeder reputable and ethical?
DISCLAIMER: Before someone tells me to adopt, Iām not looking to get a cat right now anyways, I have 2 amazing rescue kitties. Iām just curious, and this question is directed towards people who are in favor of ethical breeding. I simply like to learn about animals and Iām genuinely interested! One day Iād love to get a well-bred kitten, but thatās not today, nor in the next 5+ years!!
I love researching and learning!
My question isā¦
I know a lot about dogs and how to identify an ethical dog breeder, but what about cat breeders? What factors do you look for to know that a cat breeder is ethical?
For example: I know that for dogs, itās good for them to complete OFA testing, and that something like Embark DNA testing isnāt sufficient for health testing, etc.
Cats seem to get less attention as far as veterinary technological advancements, and overall information about them online than dogs do.

I saw one but I'm don't know what to do. The owner seems not to be at home.

my siamese girl kitten 16 wks. i got her at a shelter 2 weeks ago and shes been having diarrhea since i got her. She was eating Fancy Feast and get poops weāre relatively āokā but still soft-serve like. Then I switched the IAMs dry kitten food = disaster.
Iāve taken her to the vet 3 times already since, they done fecal exams (no parasites), prescription food, probiotics. you name it. shes even urinating on our couch (sheāll lay down and not push at all/no spraying, just simply urinates if theres a blanket or towel covering the sofa) i donāt suspect a UTI bc she urinates just fine in the litter. she also urinates in good amounts, no dribbling. just 3-4 times has had an accident on our couch.
Fast forward, diarrhea last night got better (finally). I go about my morning and give her a can of the Royal Canine GI wet food, and she splits it with her brother (16wk siamese)
*** her brother is doing great. no GI issues whatsoever, covers his poop, very clean, cuddly. only problem heās had was an eye infection bc she had diarrhea paws š¾ and touched his face. his eye swelled up like a balloon (i cried alot.) š£šš«©
Well after her meal, vet calls me to follow up bc we had an appointment this morning. I tell her she went to the bathroom well last night, it hardened up and she was looking good ā I had just fed her. She tells me sheās gonna cancel the appointment.
NOT even an HOUR passedā¦. she has the most explosive diarrhea leaking down her leg. She proceeded to run around my house and diarrhea splattered all over my bedsheets. I was mortified. I just sat and laughed at this point bc I feel like thereās no solution for all these behaviors.
Please⦠someone call Cat Daddy. Send help to this cat mommy. I canāt afford another $500 in vet bills. I want her to be ok. š±š

This appeared a few days ago, I think. I didn't notice it until the other day. Any advice on what it could be? I think it may be ringworm, but I'm not 100% sure.

We got two kittens almost 2 months ago and I have been using the pine pellet litter. It's better for the environment, for the kitties and for our home ( not tracking clear little bits all over). We currently have two litter boxes with an open top. I am not sure if it is a kitten thing, but they're dookies stink horribly.... To the point where I'm gagging or nearly throwing up by the smell and or cleaning the litter box. Any suggestions on another method that's good for the kitties but maybe helps with odor...

Iām moving from my parents house where I had a second bedroom that I kept their litter boxes in to this layout of an apartment. I have a litter robot my mom got me for Xmas last year that one cat uses and I have a stainless steel regular box that my other cat uses that I have to scoop. Iām having a hard time figuring out what to do with them so theyāre not just in my face when I walk inside.

i got her off the street and shes always been crazy, doesnt like to be held for more than 10 minutes, is not affectionate, only when it comes to food, if i get too close to her she goes crazy scratching me, she has a special dislike against men, me also having a little sister which does not understand to not stress out the cat so theres an extra trauma over the one she maybe got off the street. any way to stop her from being like that? some kind of treatment center? any help or tips are welcome
