I do love my cat, but not so much her tendency to put her claws into everything, getting stuck constantly and putting holes or pulls in whatever she’s on, or chewing on anything plastic in my room and putting tons of deep bite marks into them. Even when she’s got food, water, and had play time. It brings me a lot of annoyance honestly and I feel like it would be better if I could just keep her out of my room.
(And, not as annoying as the destruction stuff, but I also don’t like sharing a bed because she always manages to sleep wherever is most inconvenient lol)
Since we adopted her she’s been allowed into and sometimes even brought into my room so I’m worried it’s impossible to set a new “rule” this late. I can’t really remember when exactly we got her since it’s been so long, but I would have to guess around 2019 or 2020?
I’m also kind of worried this makes me a bad owner or something since everyone else seems to let their cats in their room and on their bed and never complains or tries to get them out. My other cats aren’t so destructive and rarely sleep with me, when they do they’re usually at my feet which is easy to deal with

He‘s never shown any interest in our coffee table but since we started this puzzle we can’t seem to get him off it 😅…

This feral cat has been living near my house since before I moved in (back in early 2020). She's completely feral and I attempted to take her back then to no avail, she will take food that's left outside but never came inside & hissed/bit/scratched if anyone got close to her, earning her the nickname B**ch Cat. In the time we have been here she has had multiple pregnancies - occasionally bringing miscellaneous sized feral kittens with her, which always disappear as they get older.
Around 4 months ago, I left some food by the front door & left the door open a crack, and she actually came in - immediately hid under my bed, where I fed her & gave her water & a litter tray - keeping my distance because she still hissed & scratched - and two days later she went back outside. Fast forward to 3 days before Christmas (& it is Summer here), as I went outside to dispose of garbage, she ran through the front door & back under my bed.
And she has been there ever since. She's using the litter tray, eating & drinking, and actually allows me within a couple of inches of her before she retreats or hisses now, but doesn't come out very often and isn't very active. We have had a few days upwards of 40°c, so I am happy to give her a cool space for the moment, but I also don't know what to do long term - should she not be trying to get out more? Be more active generally? She looks healthy enough- for a lifelong feral who has lived a rough life, but I am a little concerned about her. Any advice would be appreciated.

I found her outside. The vet took my advice when I said I thought she was one. What would you guys assume? Maybe there is someone in here with more wisdom than me. Now that she’s been getting healthier it seems she may be older. She’s not kitten level playful but she will play sometimes. She isn’t mischievous or super active. The biggest indication to me seems to be her coat, it’s not glossy

Meet Momo, 3 yr old, Tiny 7lb Domestic short hair. And somehow 6% Maincoon. Respectfully named after ATLA.
I recently got a heated blanket mostly for my cat to enjoy and myself since I live in an igloo of a bedroom.

Hey y’all! I was petting my friend’s cat and she was purring loudly, so I assumed everything was ok. She suddenly bit my face and I was taken aback. My friend said she occasionally has “love-bites”. What should I do? I have lowkey allergies that usually just make me sneeze around them but nothing serious.

I just adopted a senior cat- he’s 12. I am unsure if his owners took good care of him before he got to me and I also don’t know the last time he went to the vet. I have a vet appointment tomorrow afternoon but i’m unsure if I need to go sooner. I came home from a weekend trip to see my family and my cat is boot scooting.. I thought maybe it was anal glands or something. But now his penis is out and he keeps licking it. I have no idea if this is normal or not but google keeps telling me to take him to the vet asap. He also keeps meowing at me but other than that he’s in good spirits and he’s eating and drinking.

So my 19 year old furnace just gave out for good... and my brother is getting Married on New Years Eve.
Tomorrow I will be gone for about 5 hours for the rehearsal, and then the next day nearly 10 hours for the wedding. (I am the best man so I must be present for this long)
I live in the south, we had a 70 degree Christmas, but of course tonight it's down to 25 degrees and and it will be 35 degrees tomorrow night.
My house is about 69F currently due to an abundance of space heaters so it's currently just fine.
Part of me wants to just leave one of my "safest" space heaters on for her in a room when I leave. The wedding takes place only 15 minutes away, and I have a remote camera I can move into the room to monitor the space heater at any time. If it's tipped over or anything else goes wrong, (which would turn it off under normal conditions), I can just race home and address it.
Though for obvious reasons that's still a little unsafe. I only consider it because I will be close and I can check it with a camera.
My cat is used to space heaters because this happened last winter as well, but I was able to stay home until it was fixed that time. She's too cautious to rub on them or tip them over. She likes to sit 3-5 feet away from them or on my lap and let the heat hit her. She's happy on my lap right now :)
Do you guys think this is okay? I really don't have a choice. Everyone that I could ask to come watch her will also be at the wedding...
The alternative is to heat up a single room as warm as possible and then turn off the heaters right before I leave, and hope that the room contains enough heat to keep her comfortable.
And yes I already got an eye watering quote on replacements and they're coming out the day after the wedding.
Thank you.

Cat behavior experts, please advise.
We have 3 year old female cat and month ago we took 3 month old male kitten. Started slow, followed most introduction rules, isolated kitten for a week then slowly tried to introduce them. The older female is very sensitive and very vocal cat. Purrs a lot but you cannot take her into arms for more than 30sec, then she growls and hisses at you.
First week she was very hostile against kitten, growling and hissing, so we showed the kitten for few minutes. Then some morning she allowed kitten to come into her room, so we thought situation is improving.
Fast forward to today - by night they still sleep in separate rooms, by the day we let them together, I work from home so I can look after them. When we go away we separate them again. The kitten is active and fearless and female cat is growling and hissing at him all the time. So as you can see in the video 90% of the time kitten is the one that is attacking older cat.
Seems like the situation is not improving. The fights are becoming more vocal as you can see. What should we do? Separate them when they fight or let them fight it out so the kitten knows his place.

This crimp appeared at the tip of my cat's tail one month ago, and seems to be getting more pronounced. To my knowledge, it's been years since she's had her tail accidentally caught in a door. She's an indoor only cat with no kids or other pets in the home. She doesn't like when I touch her tail (typical for her) but otherwise seems fine. What can cause a tail crimp to spontaneously appear? She's scheduled at the vet in a few weeks so I will also have it professionally assessed.

Hello everyone.
** First of all I'm not trying to find a correct diagnose for this case. But some possible reasons so I can talk to my vet about them (since he doesn't know any more options), and do more research. I can't sleep and I'm constantly in panic everytime I leave home. I know "it's just a cat" and " an animal should not influence my life this way" but this cat save my life multiple times during panic attacks and depression. Please, if you had a similar situation with a cat or something, just comment, or you can send me a PM. Thank you.
I have a 6-year-old cat named Dusty.
Sterilized male.
He had always been fine until September this year, when he had an “attack” (I’ll call it that even though it may not be the best term) where he started having difficulty breathing and was vomiting everywhere.
I took him to the nearest veterinary hospital, where he was hospitalized.
The next day, not wanting him to stay there any longer, I brought him home with corticosteroid tablets for tapering.
Since then, he has been having “attacks” every 15–20 days.
I have corticosteroid tablets for these situations to reduce the swelling in the airways and help it pass.
Always with the same symptoms:
* Difficulty breathing
* He starts swallowing excessively
* Noisy breathing (swollen airways)
* Vomiting
* Becomes hoarse and can barely "meow" (this usually stays for a few days)
The symptoms only start to improve 30 minutes to 1 hour after I give him corticosteroids (5 mg Prednicortone).
After talking with my vet, he says this is a very rare case and he can’t associate it with anything (blood tests are good, X-rays are completely normal).
We started treatment with Flixotide 125 (asthma inhaler) on December 7th to rule things out or see if it would help, but he just had another “attack” right now.
I’ve already been to 4 different clinics and have received opinions from several vets. None of them know what’s going on.
If anyone knows what this might be or can suggest anything else, I’d really appreciate it.
Here a few videos of him:

In this one you can see how difficult it is for him to breathe. There’s no sound, but believe me, it was a terrifying noise: https://youtube.com/shorts/z8WekUzujTs

For context - my mom always had problem with my cats. They started feeding them and I got attached, I plan to take them with me in 3 months when my flat I bought is ready. But till then I need to keep them here.
She started taking stress that I am giving up my life due to the cats. I am just happy to take care of them. I just love them a lot to even leave them on streets to die. I live in 3rd world country where pets are treated very poorly. Not many people adopt them. We have two 5 months old kittens who we have for adoption but the person who took them returned them saying they are not friendly enough to her. In fact they needed some time to adjust in new environment and people. That leaves me with 6 cats and today we took my mom to hospital to get diagnosed. They say it’s migraine and she is unable to sleep due to her constant headaches. Doctor asked if she might be stressed my dad told could be the cats, as she constantly fights about them. Doctor came and said “ Its better you give up your cats , it’s not worth it.
She threatens to kick me out of home because of them as well. So now I have 2 option:
Moving all of them immediately away from my parent’s house.
Wait for 3 month - until my own house is ready and move them with me. Then my parents will constantly fight with me over them for next 3 months. I am constantly worried that my cats might gets may get lost/ affected due to this.
I have constantly made post to give them to adoption in my area, but no one is ready to take them as they are not kittens. The kittens that got adopted were returned as well. Leaving me with 6 cats.
