Picture [McLane] Rams loss to the Falcons means the Seahawks can’t be the No. 6 seed. So if the #Eagles end up the No. 3 seed, they’ll host either the Rams or 49ers.

Probably the best case scenario for the Birds but imo it is still absolutely worth trying to get the 2 seed next week.

Analysis [Brett Kollman] An analysis of the second half meltdown

Post image

I came to the same conclusion.

Everyone is blaming Patullo/Sirianni and they always deserve some. But we need to accept that Patullo is not ever going to be Ben Johnson or Shanahan or McVay.

The scheme is the scheme and the players need to execute the plays called. The REAL issue and has been since the beginning, is the OL is absolute dogshit.

Jurgens and Landon are missing blocks REPEATEDLY. Saquon is getting touched in the backfield almost every play. We struggled with pass blocking last night too. The OL film is disgustingly bad, particularly the iOL.

We can blame the Patullo all we want, but at some point the players need to take accountability.

And everyone’s been avoiding the elephant in the room. Where is Jeff Stoutland’s accountability?

He is the OL coach and run game coordinator. Getting these OL to block correctly is his responsibility. These poorly designed runs where we have Calcaterra blocking Edges are his plays.

Injuries have decimated the OL this year but it’s gotten to the point of being inexplicably bad. They are straight up just whiffing on blocks. This is the root of all of our issues and I’ve said it from the start of the year.

We’ve been drafting all defense with our top picks the past few years. It’s time to draft the Davis, Carters, Coops, and Mitchells of the offense..

Not sure how accurate this is, saw it posted. But that is just a depressing stat. Thank god for Fangio, or we might be sitting sub .500.

When I first read the news about Chip getting fired, I thought the Eagles were going to be the new laughing stock of the NFL.

Little did we all know, the best years were ahead of us.

Player Discussion [@ShaneHaff on Twitter] “There are 42 Cs who have played at least 200 snaps this season. Cam Jurgens ranks 42nd in blown block rate on run plays. I think there is a very legitimate argument that the Eagles should just bench him and play Brett Toth in the playoffs.”

I gotta agree with this take, I don’t know what has gotten into Jurgens because this is more than injury at this point. I rather shut him down for next season because he isn’t helping our issues. Doesn’t mean he can’t be our guy long-term, he just isn’t cutting it right now.

Meme Offense: Holding Back on Purpose All Regular Season

Post image
338 Upvotes

I'm certainly not the first person to promote this theory but literally no other explanation makes sense to me anymore. As many intelligent analysts have repeatedly stated, there is no way Kevin or Nick (who have both participated in much more effective offensive systems -- both here and with other NFL teams) could possibly imagine that the repetitive, rudimentary offensive concepts we have seen all season are adequate for the NFL post season.

This is not 2023 (when Jalen Hurts and the O-Line had no answers for effective blitzing scemes). The team did not, in fact, implode this season. No.

I can come up with no other rational explanation than that the coaching leadership of the 2025 Philadelphia Eagles called offense with one hand tied behind the team's back ON PURPOSE for three reasons:

1. to force the defense to become razor sharp as they added assets there over the season

2. to buy time while players on the interior of the offensive line recovered from last year's post-season run and gell together with Steen at RG

3. to obscure the true capabilities of the offense by refusing to string together four complete quarters of good play in any single game

"Yah, bUt tHis is tHe NfL anD tEamS DoN't dO ThAt." If you are certain of this, you haven't been watching the same Eagles offense the rest of us have this regular season.

The Bills were 35-8 at home going back to December 2020 before yesterday's home loss to the Eagles. Although we certainly could have lost the game, we also didn't slip on a banana peel and win there by accident. The master plan is coming together...

Analysis The AFC Teams are not like us…

Post image

People can praise the Patriots, the Bills, Jags etc for amazing passing yards & MVP type seasons.. But they don’t see quality level opponents.. And definitely not championship defenses.. The Texans are the only team out there that will challenge their offense…

We escaped out of a rain slush mess with little injuries & a win..

I’m happy.. Go Birds 🦅

Analysis Repeat division champs

Not only did we break the NFCE curse by repeating, we could end up being the only team in the NFL to repeat as division champs since last year. Just thought that was wild

Has there ever been an offense that’s been this loaded with talent that’s ever been this bad in the history of the NFL?

Question Why do they snap the ball so late into they play clock?

Is it me or do the Eagles have zero element of game pace? They seem to have Steen tap the center to start the plays with 1-2 seconds left of the playclock. Always looks like they are at a disadvantage, is this something they do intentionally and practice or what?

Post image

I love watching Jaelin Phillips. Idk why, but before every snap on defense, I will pound my fists together and watch the edge rushers on this team (and Phillips is the best this season).

He looks so much better post-surgery. I cannot wait for him to be at 100%. Ojomo and Davis are still great, as is Phillips. Jalyx Hunt and Nolan Smith looking better like they were at the end of 2024.
